Anyone watch Revolution last night?
Seemed like a pretty standard action/drama to me.
I don't think it is a coincidence that the one guy used to work for Google. I'm sure having a nerdy tech guy will come in very useful at a very key plot point in the future.
Any other foreshadowing that I missed?

They replayed this last night and I watched it. I was hoping for a little more than what I got. Not sure if I will continue to watch it - perhaps one more episode to see where it goes. I keep waiting for another 24 or LOST but nothing seems to be out there. I did get into The Killing on AMC though.

I watched (most of it. Fell asleep on the couch with 15 minutes to go ). I love the premise but I agree that I thought it would be more than just the standard action/drama. I suppose DH will decide if we are going to watch it again or not because I don't care about it either way.

I had high hopes for the show- I mean it is the lovechild of the creator of Supernatural and JJ Abrahms of Lost fame. I was kind of disappointed. I usually try to give a show 2 or 3 episodes because the pilot has to lay the groundwork and isn't always the best example of how the show will be. Hopefully future episodes will be better.

My husband is completely traumatized because we missed LOST. We didn't start watching it when it started, and then we felt like we couldn't start in the middle. As it went on, I thought it looked stupid, so I never made it happen. I told him to watch it on Netflix streaming. An hour or two per night - knock it out and be done with it in a month or two.
So now, we watch all of these types of shows that look epic, just in case they are the next big think. Awake was so stupid, so I'm hoping that Revolution is at least okay.

I was traumatized by the crappy ending of the X Files that I vowed never to get sucked into another "what does it all mean" series. I do not regret never watching Lost, since I heard that finale was a let-down too.

The Lost finale was disappointing thought I didn't think it was as bad as most people. I am looking forward to seeing how they end Breaking Bad next summer.

OMG, me too. I don't think I can wait til July DH and I just started watching Sons of Anarchy. We're about halfway through the second season. Seasons 1-3 are on Netflix and I'm hopeful that by the time Season 5 wraps up, Season 4 will be available, too...

Mid, I naively hoped the same thing when I started watching Downton Abbey. I am still waiting for season two to show up.

I wish they had just shown all 12 episodes of Breaking Bad this year instead of only 6 and 6 next summer. I haven't watched Sons of Anarchy. Maybe I will add that to my Netflix list. I just started watching season 5 of Dexter.

I am about to finish season 6 of Dexter just in time for season 7 to start on 9/30. Keep watching because I think season 6 was by far the best season yet! The last 3-4 episodes are crazy!!!

Maybe I am actually on Season 6. I am on whatever season was last year. I am always a season behind because I have to watch it on Netflix. ETA: I really liked the season with John Lithgow

Me too. Personally I think Walt's cancer came back and that is why he got "out".
LOST's series finale was all right but it kinda pissed me off because they left out so many answers. Too many plot holes at the end, IMO.
I am looking forward to Supernatural starting because I am wondering where they are going to go with the show. You'd think it would have jumped the shark by now.
Also looking forward to the Walking Dead premiere next week. Such a good show.

I used to watch Supernatural but stopped a couple of season ago when it started in on too much religious stuff for my taste. I loved the first couple of season when it was just the 2 of them going from place to place to snuff out the spirits. I need to start watching The Walking Dead because everyone is talking about it and it appears to be my type of show.

We broke down and got the DVD's of season 2. I hate getting the DVD's for TV shows - too few episodes for too much effort. But, we couldn't stand it sitting there staring us in the face, and us not being able to see it. Season 3 will be on TV starting in January. I can't wait!
I know Season 6 of Mad Men is promised, but I have seen no date. Last year it came at the end of March - so maybe that is when we will see that one show up.

Another show I watch was on the last season so I had DH fill me in on every episode. This time it's starting while everything else is finishing so I can watch it uninterrupted.
Boardwalk Empire started Sunday. Also a really good show but it's normally extremely slow to start. I was surprised at how explosive the premiere was. I think it helps that they're done laying the character foundation and now we're onto the real heavy ganster stuff.

I actually went to the PBS website to see if they had any episodes and they were CHARGING for them! So I went back to Netflix and started watching Weeds to bide my time. Well, I've run out of Weeds episodes and Season 2 STILL hasn't been added.

I felt the same way at first but it's been really cool actually.
The plot goes all the way back to the beginning of the show. I'm extremely impressed with the wayt he show is written to be able to orchestrate itself to keep itself moving foward for 8 seasons like that.
If LOST had been able to do that I think the ending would have been fantastic. But it seems like they wrote in so much stuff they couldn't figure out how to tie it all together at the end.

Weeds was another one of those shows that I really liked the first few seasons but then the main character (can't even think of her name) just got a little too stupid for me.

That's how I felt about Big Love. I was so happy when they killed Bill. He made such horrible decisions, time and time again. The only way that catastrophie was going to end was if he was no longer the decision maker. I mean, the conclusion was pretty far fetched - but at least he was dead.

Please tell its has hope. I recorded it last night since I have to go to bed by 10 but plan to watch tonight. I'm a huge Supernatural fan and Eric Kripke had me with the pilot of that show. I was hoping since he's a showrunner on this and because I love the post-apocalyptic scenarios it would something worth watching.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder! That is one of DH's favorites. I lost AMC so I have to wait to see that when I can go to DD1's and use her On Demand. I'm needing a Darryl fix and am so curious to see where things go with The Governor.

The final season of Fringe starts soon. It seems like the writers are headed toward wrapping it up in a neat little package. I hope so...

Maybe at some point I will go back and watch the last couple of seasons of Supernatural then. Glad you let me know. I'll warn you, Seasons 6 and 7 are touch and go. Sara what's her name really messed up a few things and there wasn't as much cohesion to the mythology as there was before Kripke stepped down. Seasons 1-5 all tie together really well though and I actually learned some things I never knew before (according to some writings Lillith was Adam's wife before Eve but expected to be his equal or something that got her kicked to the curb so to speak).

There are a bunch on here that I don't watch, but there are a few on here I've never even heard of.
I did try to watch Boardwalk Empire, but it started out slow, and I didn't feel like paying for HBO. Now that Julia Louis Dreyfus's new show will be on HBO I might consider it. We paid for it to watch Big Love and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the most effective use of our money.
