I almost stopped watching True Blood becuase I got really tired of Sookie's love life. So glad they decided to take it off the table completely this season and focus on other characters.

I couldn't get passed the perfect outfits and hair on Revolution either. What is the point of creating a cool concept if you totally ignore the basics? That's what has placed AMC, FX, HBO, etc apart... they don't treat the audience like idiotic 5 year olds

She makes some really stupid decisions! She should know how to cover her tracks better if she's going to be dealing with illegal things, right??

I didn't even want to watch Revolution even a little bit. It just looked too much like a blatant ripoff of the Hunger Games. I hate repeats. ;D The show I have really gotten into this summer is Covert Affairs. It's on USA. Man has this season been good! They have even managed to totally surprised me and that doesn't happen with TV shows very often anymore. We look forward to watching it every Tuesday. We also got inot Fallen Skies this summer. My DD and DH more than me but it was a pretty good series. The only downside is they only do ten episodes a season. The good news if anyone wants to give it a try it isn't a big time commitment as far as shows go since the two seasons are only twenty hours.

How many seasons are there of Fallen Skies? I've been wanting to watch it but I know I'd be coming in way too late in the story. I need to see if episodes are available on demand.

I loved the first season! It was true to the books, while still going darker. It wasn't a fluff piece that threw out tropes just because... now it is. They lost me with the fairies

I'm the opposite, I hated the books. Being trapped in Sookie's head was a nightmare.

So, True Blood isn't worth it ? It was on my list. How about Game of Thrones. I thought maybe i should read the books first?

There are only two seasons. The second one just ended. Definitely start at the beginning! I tried to start halfway through the first season and was totally confused. It was on my OnDemand last I checked. I don't know if both seasons are still there but I would think it should be on netflix or hulu by now.

GOT is excellent.. until you read the books and realise they're doing a shite job too . So don't read the books, because it is sooo good if you haven't

Ok. I'll just go ahead and watch then and read the books in a few years. I was like that with Bourne movies. I watched the first movie right after reading the books and it was torture, but a few years later after i had kind of forgotten the books, it was not bad action ...

I have heard Homeland is really good. I have the first season saved on my Netflix list.
Also, would like to go back and watch Smallville. I caught a couple of episodes in the first season and liked it but for some reason never was able to watch it on a regular basis.

Bubble bubble bubble. Guppy guppy guppies. Bubble Guppies!!! I. Hate. You. Oped I enjoy True Blood. I used to watch AMC and One Life to Live so True Blood gives me my soap opera fix. I'll give Loop that the faerie plot line sucks eggs so I am not really following it. But I like the other plot lines they have going on. Personally I really enjoy the vampire authority story line and the werewolf story line. If anything the werewolf plot line gives me some serious eye candy in Alcid. I came into Smallville really late, I never saw the first seasons where he was in high school. I enjoyed it a lot though. It gets really dark towards the end. DH was pissed at the series finale but I liked it.

What was the show that was on earlier this year that was about people from the future going into the past and there were two rival factions even there? Plus, you weren't allowed to have more than two kids.

Did anybody watch V when it was on a couple of years ago??? I think it was a remake of a show that originally came out in the 80's. I believe that's what I heard anyway. I really, really enjoyed it but I've given up on them doing a second season since it's been quite a while since the first season now.

I didn't really watch V, but I was wondering where they would be able to go with it for a second season? The plot line didn't seem to be really set up for a multi season show.

So, True Blood isn't worth it ? It was on my list. How about Game of Thrones. I thought maybe i should read the books first? DH and I love Tru Blood! We were so glad we didn't have HBO so we could rent them after. Then we do season marathons. We can't wait for the next one to come out. We are going to watch Weeds next. ETA: We are watching this now and it is hilarious!! So far, so good. And we liked Revolution so far. I hope it does well. We also liked Jericho and it kind of reminds us of that show. The show is worth it for that reason alone. Too bad he doesn't show up until later. <<drool>>

*** SOA SPOILER ALERT! *** Wow, ironic that I kept talking up how SOA wasn't afraid to go to the dark side. I couldn't even watch all of the last SOA episode it was so dark and sad. Opie was one of my favorite characters. Not sure I can keep watching, but not sure if I can stop. Dang.

Anybody watch Last Resort last night. I enjoyed it. Probably one of the few new shows I will continue to watch.

Plus, you weren't allowed to have more than two kids. Terra Nova. I wonder if it'll be back for a second season. I know my interest was waning. I am 'caught up' on Revolution now. I'll watch it for a while. Had no idea the new OnDemand requires you to watch the freaking commercials. Not even any channel switching. Need to see if my wife will give up some space on the DVR for this.

Isn't the name Falling Skies? DH watches that.
I just started watchin Downtown Abbey- seems pretty good for a period peice. But I really got hooked on Once upon a time. DH, DS and I all like it (there are very few shows we all like) and we managed to catch up on season 1 on netflix just in time for season 2 to start.
