That's not the name Zib was looking for. Different show. I actually like Falling skies way more than I thought I would and liked Terra Nova way less than I thought I would.
It's funny. With those two, Walking Dead, the one with the Kentucky Marshall, Modern Family, and now this Revolution show, that's about the only TV I look for.

If you like those complex plots you might try Damages. Up to season 4 is on netflix. Season 5 finished the summer (final season) and should be there soon. That show was AWESOME.

I thought Last Resort was pretty good as well. DH missed the first episode because he was gone and our DVR was dead. But we got our replacement DVR and all is good- he'll just have to catch up with the first episode so he can watch the second on with me.
Officially done with Revolution. Perhaps it was the bad mood I was in after watching the Giants beat up on the Cardinals, but last night's episode was the worst in a string of a few bad episodes. I've got too many good books waiting to be read (or re-read) to waste 40 minutes a week on this train wreck of a show.

I am currently working my way through Season 3 of The League. I have the first episode of season 4 on DVD. I'm hoping to burn through the last episodes of season 3 in the next two days, and then watch the first 2 of Season 4 on Thursday (or maybe Friday, since I also have to watch the Project Runway finale.)
The characters in The League are really terrible people.

I still need to watch the 1st season of Walking Dead. My plan is to watch it over the holidays. Our office is closing for several days and I am not going anywhere this year so I should have time.
I watched the first last resort because it was free.., it was good, is it worth investing in the rest so far?
Haven't watched season 2 of walking dead yet...
The first half of season 2 sucked (except the episode that was 90% Darryl). Once they did the mid-season finale, it picked up. I have DISH so I will have to wait on Season 3 or go to DD1's and watch it on demand.
I tried Last Resort but I just felt it was lacking something. Not sure what but I didn't even bother with the second episode. I'm still touch and go with Revolution. I missed it last week (no service) and because of DVR conflicts, won't see this week's until Saturday but I told DD2 that if it didn't pick up I'd be giving up on that one too.
So far this season the only new show I've really enjoyed has been Vegas. I saw one episode of Guys with Kids when killing time the other week that was kind of funny but I'm just not one to stick with 1/2 hour shows when I can find a perfectly decent hour long drama or a movie to watch.
Isn't Last Resort on the list of "likely to be cancelled" show's?
Probably so if I am watching it It seems like the shows I like often end up on the chopping block. I like 666 Park Avenue but apparently I am the only one as they are talking about cancelling it. I also liked Made in Jersey but it is already gone. This is why I told myself I wasn't going to watch any new shows this year and I would just watch them on Netflix later if they stuck around and I heard they were good. Of course, I ended up not listening to myself ;D
We watched last week's episode of Revolution tonight. My only comment is that these guys let too many people live. I am not a violent person, but if I am in a me/you position, only one of us going to survive.
My husband actually agreed with me, but he is a military veteran.

I also like 666 Park Avenue - especially after last night's episode. It's getting good! I hope they don't chop it. But that happens to us too, almost40. Everything we love gets the ax. We prefer to think most people have no taste than to us being the odd ducks. ;D
I was giving up on Revolution until last night. I like where the story line is turning. They are showing their lives before the black out and I love that the mom is still alive and that the hot guy is the mean guy's son. That was an awesome surprise since he's obviously in love with Charlie!
I'm giving up on Revolution... I haven't really enjoyed an episode yet. I don't really like any of the characters (Charlie seems to be a 20 year old with the behavior of a tired 5 year old - her uncle while interesting has similiar emotional/behavioral maturity as Charlie and no one else has had much character development or depth). The only time the show has gotten interesting for me is when Danny and Neville are on the screen.
I guess I'm having a hard time suspending disbelieve. I want to suspend disbelief - I usually love shows like this.
The real killer for me was the last episode with the train...
1.) Nora/bomb girl - going on and on about how the train must be stopped - no matter what price (even killing Danny), putting the bomb on the train and then having some hokey made up change of heart and feeling regret that Danny might die. She's probably killed dozens of people with little remorse - maybe even lead a team into a situation where she knew not everyone was coming back - and she looses all nerve when she sees Danny on the train??? She KNEW there would be a good chance he'd be on it. ARRRGGGHHHH
2.) Bombing the train. What? You couldn't stop the train by bombing the tracks 20 miles away?? You couldn't attempt to use a gun (there are some high powered ones) to put some holes in the tank of the engine? or maybe a bomb while it was sitting there in the station. You couldn't light the WOOD (that was so not a wood powered engine - coal more likely) on fire - that atleast would have made them not leave the station - given Ninja Uncle and Stupid Girl a chance to free Danny.
3.) Asking me to accept that Ninja Uncle and Stupid Girl could ride horses up to the running train and jump on (ala traditional cowboy movies), easily move from car to car (again standard cowboy movie), even get thrown/jump off a moving train and survive unharmed (cowboy standard again) BUT they were too stupid to attempt to separate the train cars from the engine (again standard Cowboy movie/sitcom modus operendi). Not to mention if horses could run up to the train - the train was probably only going 10 -15 miles per hour - and when the engine DID blow apart the people in the cars behind it would probably survive the crash impact when their cars went off the tracks. Heck if Stupid Girl and Ninja Uncle survived JUMPING off the moving train with out a scratch I'm sure Danny and Neville would have survived their train car bouncing and going of the tracks.
4.) Those flash backs for Neville's back story - were those suppose to make me sympathic to him? Cause he was a surpressed Bully/psycopath even back then. The only thing the back story did for me was inform me that Spy Boy (Jason) was his son.
Don't get me started on the Episode where they killed off Doctor Woman. That episode left me feeling used and manipulated. And that AWFUL 'hallmark hall of fame' love fest between Stupid Girl and Doctor Woman.... blech bad taste in my mouth.
I'm done watching this show - it annoys me and makes me cranky.

Truly evil people don't just hurt others. They take pride in the pain they cause and then try to blame the victims.
I don't mind that Revolution is not grounded in reality - I was totally OK with Once upon a Time having Emma break open some bullets and ignite the gunpowder causing the Magic Tree Cabinet to burst into flames and be incenerated. It took her all of about 30 seconds to accomplish this task. Not exactly grounded in reality. It was quite exciting and cool and added to some character development and moved the story along (Emma got a taste of why a mother might 'cut themselves off from their child' and they now need to find a different portal ) it also didn't make me groan and be pulled back to reality. I was willing to suspend belief and go with it.
Revolution just does stuff that pulls me out of the World of Make Believe while watching it. I happily suspending belief when they rode the horses up to and jumped onto a moving train. I was willing to buy into the idea that the Train had NO other militia guys on it (cause wouldn't they have noticed the two horses riding up to it??) - even though the train going to Philidelphia was a triumph for the militia, I was willing to buy the idea that Ninja Uncle could pull a burning log out of the train oven with some hot mits, I was willing to buy that Uncle Ninja and Stupid Girl could jump or be pushed off the moving train and not be injured. I just can't stomach the apparent stupidness that the ONLY plan they could come up with was to remove the bomb from the train. Stupid Girl couldn't come up with any other better plan to save her brother than to smile at him repeatedly thru the train window.
Jeez, maybe I'm just jaded cause while the show was running I was comparing it to Wedon's great, fun, tense, and surprising twist on the Tradition Cowboy Train Heist in Firefly... I don't expect Revolution to be that good... but jeez the writers/director are getting paid good money - they should have to be alittle bit creative.

No one will ever be able to match Firefly.
And speaking of Once Upon A Time - am I the only one wondering if Cora is the Queen of Hearts. Afterall, Regina did trick Jefferson to get to Wonderland to rescue her father.
I'm also hoping that they aren't going to make Regina more simpering this season. Yea sure, she wants to get back on Henry's good side, but I just didn't buy that she'd send Charming after him alone to her vault instead of at least going there with him.
