I do not agree with sticking around after my spouse commits adultery Read more: notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fun&thread=1959&page=6#ixzz1BbAbPaZB Nobody should be committing adultery. And anyone who does should realize the deep, deep wounds he/she is inflicting on his spouse AND children and what a selfish, self centered thing they are doing. And, it may absolutely destroy a marriage. However, there are marriages that have survived as well. But, I could understand walking away too. I don't have the personality to stay with a cheater...that is an absolute deal breaker for me.

But, that isn't what I am talking about. I am sure you can all point to people who overexaggerate and make their spouse out to be the reincarnation of evil for leaving the toilet seat up. There are plenty of men and women who act like selfish jerks because their spouse doesn't tow the line exactly as their playbook says and wind up destroying their own families. Yes or NO? Yes, but there are 3 sides to every story, he said, she said, and the truth that's usually in the middle.

I don't believe in deal breakers. I think people make mistakes. Sometimes people make terrible mistakes. I believe you can still love people after mistakes are made. But, having said that, there are also consequences to one's actions as well and you cannot unring the bell once it has been rung. That's good for you. I do belive in deal breakers and cheating and abuse are my two deal breakers...no exception, no forgiveness.

make their spouse out to be the reincarnation of evil for leaving the toilet seat upDon't care about the toilet seat. He is evil because he pees everywhere BUT the toilet seat. How hard is it to freaking aim those things?

I don't think anyone saying divorce is something to celebrate Read more: notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fun&thread=1959&page=5#ixzz1Bb9LLi2Y Well, why not? If I say people should work on their marriages, then it is "why bother and the kids are soo much better off". Make up your mind. For most people I know, they are not all that happy about being divorced. For some of them, if their spouses would have been willing to budge even an inch, they would have preferred to live their life together. Exactly - if the spouse!! Not you, but your spouse has to work at it as well. If they chose not to, your marriage is screwed.

When you have kids, it is no longer just about you.
But there is also a time when you need to stop and think about what message you are sending to your children by staying in an unhealthy marriage.
We teach our children what to expect by example. While it is a good thing to teach them not to run at the first sign of trouble it's also not a good idea to teach them to be a human doormat to their spouse either.

I don't believe in deal breakers. I think people make mistakes. Sometimes people make terrible mistakes. I believe you can still love people after mistakes are made. But, having said that, there are also consequences to one's actions as well and you cannot unring the bell once it has been rung. I absolutely believe in deal breakers. Like Tina, abuse and cheating are my two. Sticking your dick in someone else (or having someone else stick their dick in you) is not a terrible mistake. It's an absolute betrayal.

This made me think of the Eminem line: "Maybe it was an accident" "What? She tripped, fell, landed on his dick?"
