OK; we all have foods that it seems "everyone" else just loves, while it makes you gag for whatever reason.
What makes you chirp that everybody else seems to love?

Myself, it would have to be eggs. I have hated the taste to barfing ever since I can remember.

Cottage Cheese (looks as bad as it tastes), brussels sprouts, cream of wheat (see cottage cheese), liver.

Lima beans a/k/a butter beans. The most vile vegetable every grown and served. And liver. I'm not sure which is worse, but the liver can be smothered in ketsup or some kind of sauce and I think I could get through it that way. I love most of the foods you all mentioned. Want to trade?

Innards of all kinds ~ ick. I'm also grossed out by mustard, beets, okra, green peppers, and raw oysters.

Process cheese. Those two words should never be used together. It is an abomination.

Durian. A big ugly spiky fruit that smells so bad it makes my stomach churn. It is supposed to taste really delicious, but they can remove it from this earth for all I care

I heard about that stuff when I was in Indosnesia. The Indosnesians for the most part swore by it but there were a few who would tell you they didn't care for it.

Did they also tell you that it stinks so bad that they ban it from the better hotels, elevators and many other places? Yet still many people in SE Asia put that stuff in their mouth. Go figure...

Mayonnaise / Miracle Whip. Puke. That includes all "salad" spreads - tuna, egg, chicken, ham, etc. blech. Cooked cabbage is avoided at all costs. The smell alone makes me gag. *shudder*

Beans of any type. I haven't touched liver since the day I left home. My kids only know it by reputation.

I'm surprised by some of the replies so far. some of the veggies that have been listed are on my list of favorites! wonder what that says about me... so what's revolting to me? I've got a couple. the first isn't exactly loved by "everyone" around the world, but seemingly everyone where my family is from. I've said that my dad's side is Acadian French, from the Maritimes in Canada. those provinces have a unique specialty called "poutine" that differs from the cheesy gravy fries you'll find around the rest of the country. Acadian poutine, 'poutine rapee', is something that more closely resembles a dirty snowball. make a ball of a grated raw potato/mashed potato mix, poke a hole in the center and add salt pork to it. close the hole, reshape the ball, and drop into a pot of salted boiling water. simmer this mess for 2-3 hours until the water looks like a melting snow puddle in early April. enjoy. as far as the rest of the world's favorites, I can't stand mustard in any form. mustard seed, greens, horseradish, even if someone tries to bury mustard seasonings in a vinaigrette. ew. I will taste it, and can't bring myself to eat it.

I haven't tried many exotic or ethnic foods, so I can't judge those. I also have never had liver, brussels sprouts, or lima beans, because my mom couldn't stand them and therefore refused to cook them. However, I do refuse to eat broccoli, unless it's well-hidden in a casserole or something. And I can't eat cilantro--it makes me

Liver! I told my wife to be (before we were married) that liver will NOT be cooked in my house. No way!

Olives, peas, and mustard. Other than that, I'll eat just about anything.

Anchovies. I don't mind them as a flavoring in a Caesar salad, but just the look of them is enough to send me barfing over the edge.

Liver, okra, lima or butter beans, eggplant and cooked greens. DH loves liver so I take him to a local restaurant that serves liver and onions. I can't even look at it, but he is in heaven!
My grandma used to make succotash but I hate lima beans and would pick out the lima's. My mom used to make ratatuille (sp?) but it's got eggplant and I wouldn't eat it.
Greens make me

When I was a kid, we had to eat liver because it was supposedly "healthy" (high in iron). Beats me how anyone could think eating a filter could be healthy, but I was the happiest kid in the world when the truth came out.
I rarely eat seafood of any kind, except for cod as in fish & chips.
Speaking of filters, that's exactly what clams are. To me, it's like eating an aquarium filter.
And eating snails is just WRONG on sooooo many levels!

Oatmeal, cream of wheat, anything from the squash family. Liver is also up there along with the fat on a steak or porkchop...that will make me hurl faster than anything << shudders >>

Mayonnaise, cottage cheese, sour cream, hollandaise sauce and any cheese that is blue, "bleu" or smells like a hobo's feet are off limits. Honestly, most of those things are just rotten food. Why would you eat them??
I used to have the same aversion to alfredo sauce and cream cheese (are we sensing a theme?) but unfortunately for the size of my boo-tay I got over it.

I agree with anything innards (even though I haven't actually tried them it's the whole idea of actually eating them) and my other is Chinese. I'm also pretty stupid about things like brownies or fudge with nuts...not going to happen. Now I will eat them separately doesn't make much sense does it?

I does to me, I love dill pickles but hate them on hamburgers.
Eating boiled okra is like eating boogers.

Peas and Spinach. I can tolerate both with enough butter and salt (damn kids). Liver and stinky cheese too. I love brie but I will not eat the rind. And you can't make me!!!

Why would you eat them?? I eat them because they are super duper tasty. As a matter of fact, I had sliced roma tomatoes with crumbly blue cheese and greek vinaigrette dressing on them on Monday night. Yummy!.

my sister's ex hubby wouldn't eat anything white. Don't ask me. :/ I hate liver, and who would want to fry chicken gizzards or livers and eat them? I don't like brussel sprouts (love cabbage) either. Love limas, hate butter beans. Yes, they are too different! Don't like any raw veggies really, except any bell pepper that's NOT green. I'll eat tomato if it actually tastes like one and not cardboard and will toss all pink fast food tomatos out the damn window. I'll also do onions on the burger but not alone. I'm sure there's more. Oysters!! Cooked or raw, yuck!
