How can anyone not like beets?!!? OMG, roasted beets are amazing!
I tried a fantastic almond and tomato basil, courtesy of America's Test Kitchen. My Saturday isn't complete without watching that show!

Maybe roasted ones are ok but the ones I've had have been ick. Oh yeah I don't like turnips either. And CL will tell me I'm wrong but I'm not a big fan of greens either.

I just discovered beets. Roasted with balsamic and goat cheese.....amazing. I figured out that I thought I didn't like them because I had only ever been offered canned pickled beets. Apparently I just don't like them pickled.
My SIL makes a great potato salad with green beans and mint pesto. Way better than mayo versions.

Vegas was good kimber. I went in the show, damn it is huge. I was enthralled with the multi cal hand gun but my brother says I can't have it, that its too big and not very useful. It was pretty though. One of the dealers who saw me admiring the Smith & Wesson version told me the Taurus one was better.

But, yeah, I like Taurus as well.

I'm eating brussels sprouts right now! yum, yum. I roasted a huge pan of veggies last night so I have potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, brussels sprouts, red onion, leeks, zucchini and turnips.

It's pretty tasty! Although I do have to admit that brussels sprouts are much better when cooked with a whole lot of butter. I'm having meatloaf too.

How about a nice bleu cheese dip? Sour cream based sauce? A side of limburger cheese?

hawkeyes dinner sounds yummy!
Swamp's suggestions are going to make me know what brussel sprouts look like when they come back up.

My mom would make brussel sprouts when I was a kid. I hated them, they taste just like cabbage to me. But unlike cabbage, I found that if I put the bite of brussel sprout in my mouth and took a swig of milk before I started chewing, the milk mostly neutralized the taste.
Anyone here ever eaten snails? I just can't imagine doing that voluntarily, I think I would starve first.

I've had snails. Very mild taste. Expensive way of eating garlic butter.

<<Now I will eat them separately doesn't make much sense does it?>> I does to me, I love dill pickles but hate them on hamburgers. Eating boiled okra is like eating boogers. Boiled okra = draining, warm sinus infection.

I won't eat saurkraut under any circumstances. It's literally just rotten cabbage. Sauerkraut and spareribs. Excellent.

I agree. My Taurus Model 66 .357 Mag is outwardly a copy of a S & W Model 19. The biggest difference is in that the Taurus uses a coil spring trigger mechanism, while the S & W uses a leaf spring. Many people who have handled my Taurus have asked me what custom trigger I had installed.

Revolting foods: soft-boiled eggs (texture, possible food-poisoning) sardines (smell, appearance; have never gotten past either to taste them) lutefisk (smell, texture, taste) pickled cocktail onions (texture) tapioca (texture, taste) Broccoli Cheese Hot Pockets (smell; when microwaved, these smell like boiled cabbage and vomit)
That's all I can think of right now. Anything I won't eat gets immediately declassified as food in my brain, so it's hard to even think of them.

Water chestnuts-dislike the texture. Like fingernails on a blackboard.
Oh-and those baby corn (cobs) in Chinese food. What's up with them?
