I love Mayo and ketchup...sometimes mixed together!!! I get nauseated just thinking about eating Oreo Cookies (I think it's because I ate like 100 of them as a kid and was vomiting them up for like an hour), cauliflower, brussel sprouts, onion rings with the huge slimy onion in the middle, cow tongue, stomach lining, any hooves or feet of any animal, Shrimp with the heads still attached...but the one thing I refuse to ever eat are hormigas culonas (large-bottomed ants). My father is Colombian and he grew up munching on those suckers. They fry them up and salt em down...I'd run screaming from the room when relatives would bring us a jar as a gift. Sadly, when I was a wee lass, my dad told me they were peanuts and I apparently ate one and liked it!!! My mom freaked and washed my mouth out

I go to the freezer dept. at the grocery store and get the yellow box marked "Eggo Waffles." Hey! We have the same recipe! This might be the problem. I'm a Bisquick junkie. Plus, you can make a huge batch and freeze them - like Eggos, only much cheaper.

They're supposedly high in protein...which I guess makes sense, since my dad grew up in a very poor region of Colombia. meat was expensive and for the rich people only.

I don't even have a waffle maker Pick up one of those Black and Decker Belgian ones for $19. My mother-in-law got me one for Christmas 2 years ago. It's the only present I've ever gotten from her that I haven't immediately donated to Goodwill.

I could but then the kids would want me to make them Really, I have so much stuff to store already and so little space I just haven't bothered to get anything else that is just one specialty like that.

CL, I actually got the Foreman grill with interchangable plates as a wedding gift, and it actually comes with waffle plates! They're conveniently hidden so DH doesn't get any ideas.

LOL MJ! I don't have a Foreman grill either, I have too much food to cook. The waffle plates could be useful though, if I weren't so lazy. Just like MM.

I cannot find a pesto that I can say I like. I've tried but dang - it's just not up my alley! I do however like fresh basil so I don't get it...

Marshmellows and mayo. Yick.
Anything that was ever part of a living/breathing animal also repulses me. (this is the reason I am a vegetarian. it has nothing to do with ethics)
I do love things like olives, brussel sprouts and blue cheese though.

I'd like to say I have a good imagination but the truth is, there was this one time, at band camp....when MM licked a hobo's foot and then we made out.
the end.

Revolting foods; Eggplant Liver; beef or chicken Sweet Potatoes; any form; baked, casserole, pie, etc. Biscuits & Gravy; I mean the old time Southern type with the white gravy. I love biscuits, but not like that. Mushrooms; but I'm allergic any way, so this one is OK. I know a couple on my list always upsets the other Southerners here when it was discussed in the past, but I can't help it. Sorry.

My backwoods Arkansas taught my mother how to cook, so I was raised on Southern food. One thing I have always hated is gravy, to me it's like a mouthful of lard. I've also always hated okra, especially boiled. Also anything squash or cabbage. There are a lot of veggies I like raw but hate cooked, like carrots and spinach.
One meal I dearly love that my wife won't touch is fresh (never dried, canned, or frozen) black-eyed peas cooked all day long with a hamhock over unsweetened cornbread.

I agree, but she doesn't like "wet" cornbread.

Meh, cornbread can take the moisture. It's not that weak.
