I like lima beans, but not on cornbread.
I like onions on some things, but I tend to avoid them because they give me heartburn. Peppers, especially Bell Peppers, can be removed from the Earth IMO.
One flavor most people love that I utterly hate is mint. I never really cared for it as a kid, and then when I was 15 they needed to x-ray my kidneys. To "clean me out", the night before the procedure I had to drink four ounces of mint-flavored castor oil. For years after that, anything mint flavored would make me heave.

I forgot about peppers. I don't mind their flavor when they're in a sauce or a chili, but I never liked them fried or any other way. Onions are OK for the most part.
I love cornbread, but I rarely put anything on it like beans or gravy. (Go ahead and hit me CL). These days it's not so much of a problem since my wife has never made cornbread in her entire life. The only time I see it is on trips back to the South.

I don't like condiments of any kind but I HATE mustard. Just the smell is enough to make me . I agree with MB smothering my biscuit with gravy is just rude and nasty thing to do to me first thing in the morning. My bread or biscuit should be on the side with butter on it.

Do you ever make your own? If I can get a nice batch of basil growing again this season I may have to try it. Since I love to cook it's do-able! Try making it with walnuts instead of pine nuts. It's a bit of a bolder nuttier flavor, which could be what you're missing.

<<unfriends MB>> Seriously no biscuits and gravy? What is wrong with you people! I was craving a sausage and cheese biscuit this morning from Hardees but there aren't any Hardees in this damn town. Cornbread is good stuff. I don't have any stuff to make it with right now. Maybe dear grandma would like to make me fried chicken and corn bread this weekend. Oh score I just realized I will get at least one home cooked meal. I'm going home tomorrow morning and grandma makes dinner for dad Mon-Thurs bc he has class those nights. Things I don't like: olives, raw onions, raw tomatoes, raw peppers, sardines, anchovies (except in Caesar dressing), any innards, and I'm sure I am forgetting stuff.

Not for me, I hate gravy on anything. I like my biscuits with butter and sometimes sugar.

Tripe is good if it is cooked well and seasoned properly. The tripe he ate came from a jar sitting on a bar. Someone asked if he wanted tripe and BF said "sure, what's in it?," thinking someone was offering him a shot. Urp.

I agree with anything innards (even though I haven't actually tried them it's the whole idea of actually eating them) and my other is Chinese. I'm also pretty stupid about things like brownies or fudge with nuts...not going to happen. Now I will eat them separately doesn't make much sense does it? Craig gets an exalt for being a new member and because I'm not eating some of that stuff too. The question is was he a lurker on the old boards, or truly someone who found us here?l

Maybe you should try them separately. Actually, maybe I should try them together and that would solve the problem.....I don't care for champagne or orange juice but I do like mimosas. Marshmellows are disgusting in all circumstances. Mayo I can at least handle if mixed in with something like a dip.

There might be something to that theory. I'm not a real big fan of corned beer, russian dressing sauerkraut, swiss cheese or rye bread by themselves, but put them together in a reuben, yuuuuuuuuuuuuummmm.

NYC, maybe. I live in BFE. I'm surprised they've even heard of a reuben, and I've never seen one made with pastrami around here.

gotta go with corned beef for the Reuben, hold the dressing please. That's the only time I eat sauerkraut. BTW, Biscuits with sausage gravy is the best hangover breakfast. Ever.
