Raw celery is OK (especially with peanut butter). Cooked......not so much.

See, I'd rather have the celery cooked an disappear into the food that I would eat it raw. Yuck.

I like water chesnuts. They are much better if you can get them fresh as they are sweeter and crunchier.
Not sure what's up with the baby corn either. Not one of my favorite choices but at least its not okra.

Water chestnuts are not my favorite, they just taste odd to me in Chinese food. Baby corn isn't my favorite either.

no mayo/miracle whip/salad dressing or anything containing that ingredient no 'parts' (liver, kidney, gizzard, heart, brains, etc.) no canned veggies no licorice or horehound my former MIL made a few dishes that were AWFUL. She would make meatloaf with Velveeta in the center...looked like some kind of alien autopsy when it was sliced. She also made this casserole she called tulini (not sure how to spell that). It was macaroni with corn, ground beef, canned tomatoes, cheese, and various other stuff. I liked all the ingredients, but the mix was NASTY. It looked like something you'd puke up after a school lunch. UGH!

Gross description but it definitely gets the point across.

TD - was it you that mentioned NO PROCESSED CHEESE? I agree with that. I call it plastic cheese. DH loves those wrapped cheese singles. NASTY. My only concession to processed cheese was 3 lb dip (Velveeta, sausage, ground beef, and rotels). I haven't eaten that in at least 10 years.

If it wasn't me it could have been. I can't stand that stuff. Nothing I hate more than ordering a cheese omelette or a hamburger and forget to ask what they use for cheese and get that plastic stuff on it. Just nasty.
The laughing cow cheeses are just as nasty.

My only dealbreakers are liver and okra. I'd love to be a judge on Iron Chef America and with my kind of luck, they'd probably have both of those as the secret ingredient!
I don't care for blue cheese either, but can tolerate it in small doses. Just like oysters.

I have to agree on the "processed cheese food". WTH does that mean anyway? That's just as bad as potted meat product - ewwww!

Same with me on the processed cheese slices - you might as well eat the plastic they're wrapped in.

Olives and liver, or any other organ meat. To me, olives have the "organ meat texture" for fruits and vegetables.
