Do you watch certain movies every year, or seasonal? Whenever it's stormy out and I'm being lazy, I watch Twister. Halloween night as I'm handing out candy, I watch Halloween I. Sometime late October I watch Wizard of OZ and Baby Boom. And of course I always watch the Charlie Brown shows. How about you?

Steel Magnolias....it's a mom & daughter kind of movie that I enjoy watching with my mom & gramma
the original Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory...very much a childhood favorite and enjoy that carefree feeling it gives
Gone With the Wind....love the clothes, the romance, and the stories behind the movie
24 hours of A Christmas Story...have always loved it....it's become mine & kiddo's tradition of watching it together...and the build up to the 24 hours of it....
Urban Cowboy (inside joke between hubby & I)....as I said, inside joke between hubby & I.... we met while I was bartending in Houston....we can do one helluva Bud & Sissy impression and we'll giggle and laugh thru it because there are parts that hit way too close to home....

I remember The Ten Commandments was always on around Easter when I was a kid, and we always watched it. Favorite Christmas movie is Holiday Inn. Modern day Christmas movie is The Family Stone.
if I'm flipping channels and catch any of the Python flicks, I have to watch for a while. Same with Young Frankenstein, Cool Hand Luke, Bridget Jones' Diary, The Count of Monte Cristo, Napoleon Dynamite, any James Bond movie...oh, there are many!

Once Upon a Time in the West (Uncut version) ET Die Hard FX High Plains Drifter Green Fried Tomatoes Bourne Identity - all of them Hmm, I see a pattern. Love payback movies!! Niagara with Marilyn Monroe was on the other night. Saw that one when I was a kid - flash back to when movies were 50 cents, popcorn 10 cents and candy bar a nickle Not one I would watch over and over, it just popped into my head.

I only own a few movies, so only a few I watch several times. Wish I had Hero(es). I watch my copy of Orgazmo, by one of the creators of SouthPark, when I need to be cheered up and/or some laughs.

At Christmas it's The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Best Christmas Pagent Ever (it was a made-for-tv movie, we watched it on a vhs tape my mom recorded until that wore out, we were finally able to find it on DVD a couple years ago), not a movie--but A Claymation Christmas.
Other movies The Shawshank Redemption American Pie Saving Private Ryan Full Metal Jacket (and another one I can't think of the name for...) Several of the Disney/Pixar movies (Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, Monsters Inc., etc)

I'm an old movie fan. I find that very few new movies "hold up" well enough to watch them over & over.
For Me:
Midway I just can't pass it up. I've watched it 2 days in a row. Most John Wayne movies. Big exception was the Shootist. Last movie & he played a guy dieing of cancer (while he was dieing with cancer). I just can't watch it. Tarzan (with Weismueler, just can't pass them up) I agree with someone else: The Thin Man, all of them. Great acting & Myna Loy is wonderful. Misses Miniver The Ghost & Mrs Muir Oh & anything with Bogart & Bacall

Every Which Way But Loose Smokey & the Bandit The Ten Commandments The Breakfast Club Independence Day Hatari (John Wayne) The Parent Trap (the original, not Lindsay Lohan's version) It's a Wonderful Life Harry Potter (some of the earlier ones) Despicable Me

'I'm an old movie fan. I find that very few new movies "hold up" well enough to watch them over & over.'
I agree with this. I'm a die-hard Star Wars fan, Lord of the Rings fan, Greek Wedding.
Have a good collection of all kinds of movies. Need to get more Titanic movies. Next April (2012) will be 100 years since she went down.
I like movies that entertain me ...... feel good movies ...... something I can sing and dance with.
'Blazing Saddles (it's one of the most politically incorrect movies EVER!) '
Mel Brookes is in a class by himself ...... wonderful .. Robin Hood, Men in Tights History of the World

found another one on right now: Prelude to A Kiss. Another one along the same lines is Mr. Destiny.
also, the original Clash of the Titans. I don't know what it is about that movie, but I just love it.
Meet Joe Black...one of my all time favorites. Totally underrated & very poorly marketed IMO.
Lake Placid is one of DH's & my favorites to watch together. Laugh out loud funny. Brendan Gleeson and Betty White were phenomenal in that movie!

Charlie Brown for every holiday because they're awesome and real and keep me grounded during the seasons of excessive expectations
Halloween (original of course) for Halloween because it's the best horror flick ever
Alien (original) because it's the best sci-fi ever-nothing beats the creature bursting out of the guy's stomach after dinner and watching the drippy fangs of Big Momma
Steel Magnolias because I believe in the power of women and friendship
The Big Chill because I believe in the power of women and friendship and it's the best soundtrack ever
Birdcage (Robin Williams et al) because it's about all of us and the games we play

And Fargo, a Serious Man, O Brother Where Art Thou? and anything else by the Coen Brothers because they prove you can think and laugh at the same time.
