I read Gone With the Wind when I was 13. I have not read it a second time, but I do love the movie.

I read it too. I remember finding it enjoyable, but I was also 15 at the time, so take that with a grain of salt. Memphis Belle, great movie! Peachy, Did you see the new version of Dorian Grey? If not, don't waste your time. I watched it mostly because Colin Firth is in it, and I love him. I've never seen any movie version of it, but I loved the book. I was not happy with the new movie at all.

I recall watching "Collateral" with Jamie Foxx and Jada Pinckett Smith. Quite a well acted movie.

I like Colin Firth too. I did see that there had been another remake. I've seen one or two later versions...nothing compares.
I do love the Peter Sellers' Pink Panther movies. And Austin Powers. I hear they are making another one...but I think that's pretty much been played out.

Hatari (John Wayne)
That is a good movie! I haven't seen it in ages though. It's not one of his movies that gets played on a regular basis.
My mom watches The Quiet Man every year on St. Patrick's Day.
You don't see chemistry like he has with Marueen O'Hara anymore.

Geez. How could I forget that movie? I have it on DVD. I grew up watching it. I almost always watch it if I'm home sick. I actually got to meet Edie Adams before she died. (She played the dentist's wife.) I was so excited to meet her because of that movie.

We don't have cable, but one of the channels we get with the converter box is a B-movie channel. Every so often it plays great movies like the above or Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I saw PTA once as a child and since the digital coversion it feels like I catch some of it once a month. Not complaining!

Wow gdgyva, those are some heavy hitting movies for the watch over and over again category. For me, personally, the movies I tend to watch over and over are the lighter movies that make me feel good. The movies you listed are great movies, but just too intense for me to watch repeatedly.
