I don't remember it coming up during the month long flap, but it struck me as odd that Weiner, a Jew, would be married to a muslim. And not just any old run of the mill muslim, but one with kinfolks holding high places in the Muslim Brotherhood, or one who is said to be a member of Muslim Brotherhood supporters. Someone has asked whether it was the wrong Weiner who resigned, and maybe it should have been her instead. Now I'm wondering if the Weiners will be targets for any Patriot Act surveillance. It has also been revealed in the Arab media that Huma Abedin’s brother Hassan is a fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) at Oxford University in England. A number of Muslim Brotherhood members sit on the board, including Qatari cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has incited violence against Jews and Israel on numerous occasions. In 2009, Qaradawi’s role at Oxford and the Muslim Brotherhood was supported by Sheikh Rached Ghannouchi, one of 90 Muslim leaders who, in the same year, signed a pact in support of Hamas and for military action against the British Navy if it stopped an arms shipment headed for Gaza. Another member of the OCIS is Abdullah Omar Naseef, who founded the Rabita Trust, which was included in the first post-9/11 list of al-Qaeda supporters whose financial assets could be frozen. Naseef is chairman of the board of OCIS. frontpagemag.com/2011/06/17/why-is-weiners-muslim-brotherhood-wife-not-resigning/

And maybe, just maybe she converted. You can do that, you know. Take some classes, convert and marry. Plenty have done it.

News Flash:
Weiner has gone limp in the media, though still stiff on Proboards.
Nothing more at 11.
I was really hoping that after his resignation this celebrity status of his tighty whiteys would have gone away.

All of the normal restrictions imposed by the Koran upon a Muslim may be lifted when a person is involved in jihad against an enemy. They are allowed to do everything necessary to infiltrate and fool the enemy.

I guess freedom of religion is total bullshit. We only have freedom to choose between some form of Christianity, and no religion at all. Everyone else is suspect.

They should all be on a gov't watch list.. but, of course, they won't, because they make the laws. Best to watch Christians.. who we all know are at war with the USA and Israel and want to cut our heads off... Idiots..

According to Wiki, she was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and went to George Washington University. She is a practicing Muslim. She sounds pretty American to me.
Maybe her brother is a wingnut, but she's not her brother.

Well - she married a perv, so I'm thinking she has bad judgement on people anyway.

How thick can that muslim ice be under her feet? Marrying a Jew to be closer to things that would be helpful to "them" is one thing. Working for someone who can be milked for more is also a plus. But being married to a loser that causes the information flow to be cut off may not be such a big plus. And the ice may be getting thinner under her feet, especially if the Patriot Act surveillance gets stepped up.

I don't get it, I find the guy repulsive, but to each his own.

Something is going on, because Muslim girls in THIS country get killed by their own fathers for doing things they consider to be "wrong." I would think a Muslim woman marrying a Jewish man would be considered "wrong" in the Muslim faith.. People do not like talking or even thinking about this stuff because it is so foreign to American thinking. There is nothing anywhere that says Huma converted, or, for that matter, that Weinerman converted..

Thanks for reprinting all of that in totally obnoxious colors. Granted, you have yet to prove that SHE is affiliated with this branch of muslim - only that her brother is.
My sister is a hard-core Christian, a great mother and an all around decent person. We have almost nothing in common, except our nose.

Some Catholics think it's wrong when one of "us" marries a nonCatholic. Some Jews think it's wrong when a Jew marries a Gentile. Interfaith marriages happen all the time.

If she were actually using her position to spy on us, don't you think it would be far more likely that she would convert and be seen every Sunday sitting in the 8th pew, on the right side, every single Sunday? I mean, if you are going to pretend to no longer be associated, then she should be able to hide her association with them a little better than this. But, I'm sure you've cracked the code, and you figured out something that the Secretary of State and her staff couldn't find, even with a complete background check.

I currently know two couples who are mixed Christian/Muslim. Knew another when we lived in Iran. The fellow who lived next door to us was an Iranian Muslim married to an Albanian Christian. Can't think of a mixed Muslim/Jewish marriage amongst those I know, or have known, but it sure doesn't surprise me; nor, does it bother me in any way. I don't figure it's any of my business.
