OK... many of you have had great suggestions for cosmetic changes that will make your experience here a bit better. I have completed some:

• added a sports board
  
• put a navigation tree at the bottom of the board as well as the top
  
• gotten easier to read buttons in place (not fully complete and is only on the default skin right now, but i'm working on it)
  
• made it so when you post, it goes to the bottom of the thread
  

If you have other suggestions, please post them in this thread. I will try to do as many as I can, but it will depend on if i can find a code hack on the support boards.

Maybe some Holiday skins added to the collection for people to use to on their pages ?? (eg: St. Patrick's. Valentine's, Easter, Halloween, etc)

Now that we have a sub-board for the Naval History Buffs, can we get a tank-board for the Army History Buffs and a plane-board for the Air Force History Buffs?

the sub-board says "all things military" and thus is not branch specific. it just happens that the only threads we had to move there at the moment happened to be naval related.

PLEASE !! Get rid of the "Congratulations! You are 999,999th visitor" jumping banner-ad that randomly appears at the top of the page - preferably before I shoot my monitor !!

That was my rant - but I actually am concerned about that particular ad because of people (myself included) who may be susceptible to epileptic seizure problems.

i understand that concern.. unfortunately, i have no control over the ads that they show.

Scottish, i did go to the proboards support forum and found this.. i'm not sure how much it will help, because it would require remember to do a keystroke sequence when you see the ad. But this is what they say:

ProBoards prides itself in providing the highest quality service with the least intrusive advertising. This thread provides information about the types of advertising we run, how to report ads, and information about our partners that manage our ad inventory.

Found a Problem Ad?

The following types of advertisements are not allowed by ProBoards:

* Ads which automatically play audio
* Ads that automatically expand to larger than their normal size
* Any and all popup ads
* Ads which attempt to install software/malware on your computer


If you come across an advertisement that violates our rules, immediately press CTRL+ALT+R on your keyboard and fill out the form which pops up. This will send ProBoards the information we need to investigate the issue.

while this ad doesn't technically violate their rules, it is definitely a problem for the reason you stated.

So far , I haven't been bothered by ads..glad some one is making something out of this fine product..didn't understand why some one was being so nice to us..naturally they give the raw product and we are so lucky that some one is there re tooling..hope your getting something out of this Moon besides our thanks , congrants, and "you da lady"...you are da lady... .

you can have it give you a pop up- go into your inbox and look for a button for preferences. you can have email or popup (default is no notification at all)

I really like the sub-board for the military in P&M. Could you move the How-tos to the General Board and put all the different folders (e.g., avatars) as sub-boards? That'll clear up some space so we could see the actual forums quicker.

Would you consider adding a new Board for Healthy Living? We have some threads started but they are spread out over Smart Spending and EE and probably some other areas.

Forgive , thats a neat feature but where is my "in box??" How do you find it ?

Dezi your inbox is where you get to your private messages.. just go in there and find the preferences link ..it's on the far right, above the message date.


as for the sub board and healthy living requests, i will work on that shortly

Thanks so much for setting all this up; I appreciate the time you've put into it.
There is a way ( and I don't know how to code proboards, so I'm no help with that) to put some smilies in a row in the "quick reply" box above the text box. I'm just lazy, so don't worry about adding this feature until you have multitudes of spare time.
