It also came to my mind just now that this is also the same ad that caused me some major computer problems in the past when one of the younger family members clicked on this ad when it was on his game website, and our computer got a virus or hacked almost immediately afterward. It was a pain having to pay to get it out of the hard-drive.

I read on a thread last night something about how there might be a "time limit" of sorts for the mods.... that after a set amount of time, the mods would switch. Does that also apply to the political section of the boards? So I might know when it won't be so slanted against any and all liberals and might come back at that point?

yes steff... i do plan to rotate mods after a period of time, though i haven't really decided the time frame.. could be six months.. could be longer. but, it would be on all boards.

current mods can sign up for 're-election' and new polls will be put in place at that time. it's even possible that i may appoint some additional mods prior to that.

Those at work may wish to have the volume turned down or off. Some of the banner ads have annoying sound effects. A poster I correspond with wrote:
"I was on the Board earlier and one of the banner-ads at the top started playing a loud bad-rock video game sound track through the speakers. Don't want you to get caught off guard. Might wanna make sure your volume is down or muted so that it doesn't bother you if you're on during your lunch break."

Wish list items for discussion.

On the Market Talk board header, might an intraday volume subgraph be presented beneath the US stock market intraday graph? That information gives board readers important information about how much emphasis they should place on the day's trading vagaries.

Might I also suggest the SP 500 as a metric for the US stock market tracker instead of the DJIA? It's a much broader index than the DJIA. The DJIA really isn't a metric of interest to much anybody but the mainstream media, IMO. <I ain't got no H.>

Also if there could be a click link to the data source to access further raw financial data and charts (one button only; let the user navigate from there), that would be superb.

Don't know if it's possible or even worth the trouble, but is there someway to search for members and select to the "to" field when composing a PM?

Just a small request. You've done a great job at getting rid of the hard to read fonts for Search, Members, etc. I accidentally clicked on Bookmark last night and found that the Remove Bookmark is still in the fuzzy font.

unfortunately this isn't something each user can decide for themselves. i have to set it board-wide. Currently it's 30/page which is the maximum..

i know.. there are a few i haven't gotten switched over yet as i am having to create new buttons for each one. then after that, i have to replace them on all the other skins as well.

rose, you should see a button up top for 'members'.. there are several different search options:
View All Members, View By Letter, View Top Posters and View Staff Members

once you click on the person's id, it will bring up their profile page and click on the 'send personal message link'.

OR, in a thread, if there is a poster you want to pm, you can do so directly from there by clicking the envelope icon under where the avatar goes.
