Off the rail bigly. Why will she sag when a major catastrophe hits Georgia, Florida or Texas? Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'Repent' Earthquake Tweet Shakes Up InternetGeorgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) shook up the internet on Friday by suggesting the earthquake in New York and Monday’s pending eclipse were messages from God to repent. The Georgia Republican took to X, formerly Twitter, on Friday and suggested that there was a higher meaning behind the natural phenomena. She even dropped the G-word in her post. “God is sending America strong signs to tell us to repent,” she wrote. “Earthquakes and eclipses and many more things to come. I pray that our country listens.” Although God was unavailable for comment (probably because he’s focused on picking winners for the NCAA Tournament), folks on social media offered their own takes on Greene’s tweet. Of course, one person noted that God may indeed be sending a message, considering how close the quake came to former President Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf club. Rest of article here: Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'Repent' Earthquake Tweet Shakes Up Internet "... eclipses ..."? Check out the list (at the link) to see when (God's warning via) the next total solar eclipses will take place until 2067, Here’s Where You Can See Every Total Solar Eclipse for the Next 50 Years What a fool.

Maybe God just sent a warning to stop the conservatives. The epicenter was allegedly near trump's NJ golf course. Maybe it was Ivana rolling in her grave for various reasons.

I wonder what the next eclipse (that we know the exact date and time of) is a sign of?

The epicenter was allegedly near trump's NJ golf course. Maybe it was Ivana rolling in her grave for various reasons. One of the aftershock's epicenters was Bedminster, where the golf course is located. Her followers must love her stories even if they aren't true and in this case easily fit a narrative that is not pro GOP or Trump. According to NJ12 we were up to 10 aftershocks at 6PM last night. I think the 4.0 one did make things fall off my old TV. I know earthquakes happen including aftershocks, but I wish I could opt out. Disconcerting. The ones I really noticed though were only the original 4.8 one and the 4.0 aftershock centered very close to the original quake. Not liking the fact that these could continue for weeks per some pundits, and we have a 14% chance or something close to that of having another one in the 4.0 range.

Rest of article here: Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'Repent' Earthquake Tweet Shakes Up InternetI live in the Bible Belt and nothing gripes my ass more than some clearly non-Christian person trying to lecture the rest of us on how we need to repent. I’ve known some very fine Christian people, and the number one thing none of them do is judge other people - because the Bible is very clear on that. Marge is nothing BUT pure judgement - and she presumes to lecture people about God’s motives. She’s cheated on her husband multiple times with several different men and then got divorced. She lies. She’s mean. Before she prays for other people to repent, she may what to shut her mouth and so some quiet self reflection. But she won’t.

In a panel discussion on CNN, conservative writer Jonah Goldberg called MTG ‘obstructive’ and a problem for Trump, and that ultimately puts her position in the party in peril.
‘She has a goldfish memory and lives in the moment, she’s a creature of the internet age.’ 😀

Wow, just wow: Crockett, a freshman lawmaker from Texas, asked Greene, “Do you know what we’re here for?”
Greene shot back: “I don’t think you know what you’re here for … I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”
Ocasio-Cortez immediately jumped in to get Greene’s words taken down.
“That is absolutely unacceptable. How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person,” the New York Democrat said.
Greene said to Ocasio-Cortez: “Are your feelings hurt?”
Ocasio-Cortez responded, “Oh, girl. Baby girl. Don’t even play.”
“Baby girl? I don’t think so,” Greene retorted.
... (later)
“I’m just curious. Just to better understand your ruling. If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” Crockett said.link

Never heard of this woman until I had a look at the latest US Covid enquiry.
Strikes me as being mad as a box of frogs.
Why the heck have you got people like this on a platform?
She doesn't need an audience, she needs a heavy dose of lithium and a darkened room.

It won't change her desire to spin conspiracy theories any more than Trump or Putin. Now if we could make the three of them incapable of lies like what happened to Jim Carrey's character in the Liar, Liar movie, that would be fantastic.

There may be some cracks starting, though. In a recent poll, MTG was voted the most disliked member of the House. I haven’t seen any letters to the editor praising her performance this election cycle, like I did the last one. She still has fans in the ‘make the libs cry’ camp, but not with people who expect their elected representatives to actually do ‘work.’ She’ll still win this election cycle, but I’m hoping she gets enthusiastic about getting a place in the Trump admin and quits her seat, just before Trump loses the election, and we can get someone more normal. This district needs someone to work hard for it.

I'm not down playing anything rationally looking at it J6 was not an insurrection just a riot and Trump did not have anything to do with it in fact I am convinced it will show that in a court of law. Difference of opinion. Documents I said let this play out. I am glad judge Cannon is on that one she won't let Smith stream roll him. Smith will have to actually prove it and remember it doesn't matter what you or I think Trump is still innocent until proven guilty. He had everything to do with it. He planned that rally to stir them up with words designed to get them to go to the Capitol and stop the election certification. Do the stations you listen to provide your ideas as entertainment? Trump was also asked to stop it and sat on his ass and enjoyed what he saw on TV. This is known as well. I am starting to wonder if you are really a poster from the US or a Russian bot with a great backstory. i agree with this. if Trump had simply accepted his defeat, he would have wandered off into some dark corner of history, and would not be facing 54 felonies and 34 convictions, and J6 would have been at most a rally (without Trump, of course. with Trump it might have turned out the same). but the entire purpose of J6 is very clear when you look at the evidence: he had run out of options.

They are all owned by corporations or special interest groups. I disagree with "all". For example: Adrian Smith, R-Neb. 3rd District; 4th term 2012 re-election: 74 percent
The anonymity afforded a Mr. Smith is a boon to the Nebraska Republican, who would much rather spend his time advancing local agricultural concerns than being called on to take a position on national issues. He sponsors few bills, he has spoken on the floor for less than six minutes total during the 113th Congress and his sole national exposure was giving one of the GOP’s weekly radio addresses — in 2008. Smith got his start in local politics at 23, when he won a city council seat in Gering but kept his small-town style when he moved to the state legislature and then the House.
As co-chairman of the Congressional Rural Caucus and member of the Ways and Means Committee, he has fixed his legislative focus firmly on the effect of the tax code on rural communities and the opportunity to promote agricultural exports out of his vast western Nebraska district. link There are 435 Representatives, many are hard at work on issues important to their districts.
