Good Tuesday! I was insanely lazy last night and never posted here for the Monday check-in. I'm still not losing any weight; this morning was 165.8 I did meet--barely--the 55,000 step goal last week. I did work out four times. I did manage to journal once this week. The wildfire smoke is really unhealthy in our region, so going outside for fun stuff has not been an option. I tried to put on a pair of pants yesterday that I've had for at least a few years. I didn't wear them too much past the beginning of May because the weather was nice. I couldn't even get them on yesterday.
So, same-ish goals for this week: four work out days minimum 55,000+ steps for the week lots of water --for me that's at least 60oz per day be planful of meals talk or write myself through binging moments

I've done okay this week; there's been some overeating, but not too much. I did have two glasses of wine on Thursday, and that was a bad plan. I just like pinot gris so much! I've worked out Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday so far. I intend to do so today and tomorrow. I weigh was at 163.5 on Thursday morning and 163 today, so I hope to keep up that trend.

Well, it's Friday. I've had a heavy work week, and I definitely resorted to stuffing my face with chocolate when I was frustrated.

Monthly check in
Not a good step month. Have been feeling under the weather this week and steps were lower than I would like even before this week. Weight stayed the same.

Hi Kids! I'm still battling to lose the weight I regained. I'm down 3 pounds, but not happy, as I'm convinced the scale should've dropped a bit more by now. It's a good thing beach season is about over.

I do feel better though because I've been working out so much more. I just have such self-loathing for the way I look.

Put on a few pounds on vacation, from 206 before vacation to 217 the day after we returned. I did eat eat more than I usually do, but also walked a LOT. Was likely mostly water weight though, because by the end of this week it was back down to 209.
Lots going on which I thought I was handling well, but everything exploded last night. Have had nothing but water today, don't even want to think about food so looks like I going into a stress diet. Weird to weigh 209 in the morning and 207 that night.
It has been a long time since I've done a 24 fast, so it is actually kind of helpful. A good 48 would go a lot further to getting me track though. We'll see.

I do feel better though because I've been working out so much more. I just have such self-loathing for the way I look. I read here sometimes even though I don’t post. But I couldn’t just scroll on by this post. I remember a few years ago, when I talked about how much weight I was gaining, and you asked me a question about details, that I don’t remember, nor do I remember my reply. But I do remember that whatever question you asked, was because you saw some similarities in either our height and weight, or something. As I kept gaining weight, I started hating what I saw in the mirror, and how my clothes fit me. My biggest issue was I started having a big belly, when even though my belly was ugly after having my children, wrinkled and with a million stretch marks, my consolation was that at least it appeared to be flat in my clothes. Until i kept gaining weight and it wasn’t even flat anymore, and I couldn’t even try to look nice in my clothes anymore, because my belly had gotten so big. I have lost a lot of weight recently, due to my mental and physical health issues. I don’t recommend losing weight that way, just to be clear. The weight came off in all the wrong places, and I still have a big belly. Anyway, my point is to try to encourage you to love whatever you see in the mirror, even when it’s not what you’d prefer to see. Love it, because it’s you and your unique body, instead of loathing it. Work to change it if you feel you must, but do it with love and compassion for you and the skin you live in that’s served you well, even if it doesn’t look the way you’d prefer right now. I don’t want you to stop being honest about how you feel, I am just encouraging you to reframe your thoughts regarding the self loathing you mentioned. If it takes you some time to get there, that’s okay too, keep being honest about wherever you are on your path, I will keep trying to encourage you if I see those posts, with understanding and no judgement.

It's Monday! Scale says 167.0 lbs for me. I've spent $300 on new work clothes because most of mine aren't fitting at all any more. My back has hurt more than normal this weekend. I have a lot of pain on my right side in the sciatic nerve. This morning seems better but the last three days have not been good. I've actually had to lay down a lot to alleviate the pain.
Here's to making healthy choices this week!

Another week of not so good choices as what I ate and drank. Too many adult beverages and not enough exercise.

Hi folks! Still bouncing around the same weight on the scale. Need more veggies in my life, but keeping up on the running. Family calendar is about to get insane with the start of school tomorrow. The insanity has actually already begun, but I've had this weekend free to focus on the house. I also dragged my XC runner son to the school track a couple times. I was planning on taking a class, but missed the sign-up as I was hemming and hawing about having the time and energy to devote to it. I'm really okay with that! I'll do 2 classes in the winter instead. Taking 2 classes per fiscal year is what maximizes my tuition reimbursement.
I hope you all have a better September! 💕

Hi all, need to join in here! I am on the verge of emotional collapse due to a lack of sleep. I can't remember the last time I had more than 6 hours in a night, been several months. Many nights with under 4 hours - and usually not all in one go either. I put a few things into place the last few days, so ar, no results....even worse actually. Been gathering info on sleep hygiene....gonna try this www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/article/10-3-2-1-0-sleep-formula#:~:text=10%20hours%20before%20bed%3A%20No,phones%2C%20TVs%20and%20computers). Sleep Hygiene Basics: The 10-3-2-1-0 Method Explained ... - 10 hours before bed: No more caffeine.
- 3 hours before bed: No more food or alcohol.
- 2 hours before bed: No more work.
- 1 hour before bed: No more screen time (shut off all phones, TVs and computers).

Another month concluded and I am 0.2 pounds up. I must refocus. I am, however, 0.8 down from Friday, so I'll take it. I did LOTS of walking at an outdoor concert over the weekend. This week's suppers will be vegetable heavy.

Some improvement last night, got about 6 hours and I think it was in one go. Leastwise not a major interruption during the night. Was woken by thunder and couldn't get back to sleep after going to the bathroom....
Going to modify the reccomendations a little, really try to make sure I don't need to get up and go to the bathroom at night. While getting up is a bit of a disturbance, what really kills it is that the cats get all activated.
Take vitamins at least 1x per day (2 is full dose) 1 hour walking or other exercise before dinner 10 hours before bed: stop caffeine (might consider jacking up to 12 hours?) 6 hours before bed, no food known to disrupt sleep, tomatoes, et al. 4 hours before bed: stop food/drink 3 hours before bed: stop work 1 hour before bed: stop screens
Although overall, these seems pretty lightweight, I did have a bit of resistance to sticking to them last night. Wanted a to keep watching the TV show even though my wake up time was set due to an early work meeting, and I was obviously in danger of drifting into....not even allowing myself 8 hours in bed territory, neverminding if the sleep came or not. Then once in bed, some texting and cat pics were occurring.
When I was giving up TV time to get in bed for reading time, realized that I still had to do final feeding for cats, fresh water. Since I thought I was done with "work" - it was a little jarring and I realized that I'm nearly never done with work. Always a little sometime to do, here, there, and then this or that. With scheduling 4 hours before bed to finish all eating and drinking, and 3 for work - will include all cat caretaking as a finish up to the day's chores. Ideally will take a quick shower after that is all done and then have a short evening of only leisure.
Which brings the question!! when I was first looking at this list, I was really jarred by the realization that I had very little options of what to do that was not work or screen time that last hour, as exercise was out too! Reading was the only thing I could slot in there! I do have a book going on that I had been meaning to get back to, but I also want to think of other things to put in there.

Reading, crafting, coloring, listening to music or podcast, meditating could all fill that last hour.

Not a lot of info from the article, but I would consider "work" to require either mental or physical exertion. I wouldn't think feeding and watering cat to fall into that category, but I also do not know your cats. 🤣

Out of town for a soccer tournament last weekend, food and drink consumption was a bit out of control. The scale responded. Blah.
Anyway, it's a new week. Started out rough this morning with work, but I'll muddle my way through. One good thing about my past, I can almost always say, I've been through worse.

I’d been doing pretty good, then today happened. I had pizza, tacos, chips, and guac. Not all for 1 meal, lol, but it does feel like I’ve been eating ALL DAY! WTH?! Usually I’m better at pacing myself and only have one high calorie meal a day.
i also am getting back to running. It’s cooling down a bit, my injury seems to be healed, and that’s helping. But clearly it’s “helping” my appetite a little too much. It’s been a long time since I’ve backed off my running like I have this year, so hopefully things will regulate soon.

- 1 hour before bed: No more screen time (shut off all phones, TVs and computers).
I'm good at the first two. I'm not good at the second two.
However, I can usually get six hours of sleep out of the eight hours I spend in bed. I've had to make a concerted effort to ensure eight hours in bed though. When I don't do that--am in bed fewer than eight hours thereby reducing the amount time asleep--I cannot function as a normal adult.
