I think that question is better directed at you (collective) Republicans, who voted for the guy that wants to deport the people doing the work most Americans would never do. if I see you (singular) complaining about the price of anything in the coming years, I'm going to remind you about this post. I can just see scgal's and ripvanwinkle's family members emptying and cleaning out nursing home bedpans. Not to mention changing adult diapers. They can practice on you-know-who.

So your good with illegals because you say "we need them" for cheap labor. With that mindset the thuglicans is not the republicans rather the democrats. Yes I ment to spell it that way Didn't you vote fir Trump for cheap gas and groceries? How are you going to get cheap groceries if you deport all the illegals? Americans aren't exactly lining up to do these jobs. You'd have to make it worth it. Which would mean raising prices to make up for now having to pay an actual wage instead of per fruit picked and cover the increased costs for safety because I'm guessing most of us like keeping our limbs. I'm fine if you want to deport everyone but it's going to fly in the face of everything else you want. I'm also fine paying higher prices so people do take the jobs. Are you Republicans ready? Like it or not our economy depends on an underpaid lower class doing what we refuse to do. How exactly are you going to make Anericans do those jobs AND do them in a way that gets you those cheap groceries you desire? By using republican logic. It will happen magically because I want it. Now the rest of us understand logic and logical consequences to actions

Exactly. The 'thuglicans don't want them here but we NEED them - which is something they refuse to see or understand. So you’re good with illegals because you say "we need them" for cheap labor. With that mindset the thuglicans is not the republicans rather the democrats. Yes I ment to spell it that way If we went after the companies that hire the illegals. - shut down the plants and farms and seize them, instead of just shutting them down for a day so they can reopen the next day with another batch of illegals - if we did that instead of trying to find and kick out every illegal, the immigration problem would stop. No one is going to try to sneak into the country if they won’t be able to work. Why won’t Trump go after the people who hire the illegals? Because they are big corporations, or they belong to big agribusiness and hospitality lobbies with a lot of political clout. Even Trump uses non-Americans to fill some of his housekeeping positions at his resorts and golf courses (he prefers bringing in the Eastern Europeans). So Trump will make a show of setting up a few concentration camps for the illegals, but they’ll just scoop up the unemployed ones. They won’t touch the Tyson foods illegals, or the ones picking the crops. They won’t fix the root of the problem - the fact that even as these migrants are deported, there will still be a demand for their services as indentured servants not picky about OSHA rules or the minimum wage. Like most of Trump’s promises, this one is just for show. Like his wall.

Yea he is so articulate. Just another democrat politician wannabe. legit, go away. your disdain for anyone that doesn't fit your own agenda is tiresome at best, and fucking insulting at worst. to make a comment like this about Pete Buttigieg, an armed forces veteran who is fluent in seven fucking languages, is tone deaf at best, and I'll just stop there. your ignorance and hypocrisy are noted here, and I'll just say Good For You and have a nice night. Which makes it eight (8) languages more than FOPA is fluent in!

I'm especially looking forward to the increased price of produce since the vast majority of the pickers are migrant workers. Also, the local dairy farms are all staffed by Guatamalans. I have no idea if they are here legally or not. All I know is the Trump loving redneck boys aren't lining up to milk cows. Somehow grocery prices are going to magically drop, doncha know? Those who voted with their wallets are in for an economic rude awakening.

Didn't say they were a Goldilocks solution. Sometimes you have to tolerate the black and brown people to get what you want./s But if they are legal brown people then we're going to have to pay them at least minimum wage and that means my pork chops and hamburger meat prices are going to go up! Not to mention all those environment and OSHA regulations they are going to expect the plants to follow now which will also jack up prices. Phht...I remember reading a headline a few months ago, or a post here where there was/is talk about disbanding or OSHA or pulling its teeth. Regulations are a republican four-letter word. Wait until MAGAs that work in factories suddenly start dying or getting injured on the job with no protections.

Those who voted with their wallets are in for an economic rude awakening. Trump lies for votes. Remember this? "We will frack, frack, frack and drill, baby, drill," Trump said last month. "I will cut your energy prices in half within 12 months." In September, Trump said he would reduce gas prices to below $2 a gallon. Those of us who pay attention to oil production know the US and other producers need to hit a certain price point to make it worth it to up production. "It's a global market," Ben Cahill, the director of energy markets and policy at the University of Texas at Austin, told BI. "There's very little any president can do to change the direction of oil or gasoline prices." Cahill added that he expected the US to increase oil production but that it would happen gradually. The US is already producing record amounts of oil. In 2023, the latest year for which annual data is available, it produced 12.9 million barrels of crude a day, compared with about 11 million barrels a day in 2020, when Trump was in office. And last year, the US became the world's biggest exporter of natural gas. In October, the US Energy Information Administration projected that the US would produce 13.5 million barrels of crude oil a day in 2025, which would be another record.www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/trump-said-he-ll-unleash-an-oil-boom-exxonmobil-ceo-says-not-so-fast/ar-AA1tXy6s?ocid=msedgntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=c8fab4184fd14533aca7bf6b6930f6f6&ei=92Gas prices are lower now in part because we are on winter gas which is cheaper than summer gas.

Our local grocery store manager told us to expect significant increases in produce prices because of the hurricane damage in Florida. Strawberries at $9/lb at Christmas. Guess that is Biden’s fault too.

The election brought out a bunch of melt down whiners from the left.
I'm not talking to family who supported Trump
I just cant!
He cannot bring down the price of gas or groceries
All Trumps supporters are racist fascits
I'm not going to watch the news I'm going to keep my head in pillow
Whaaaa Whaaaa Whaaaa....This is starting to be better than when he beat Hillary.
The real reason people are upset is that the world they want to live in is not the world everyone else wants to live in and not they are in control.

Why did you think people were upset? Yes, people are upset that instead of a world where the principles of equality are put forth, science is respected, and people aren't forced to live by the tenets of other people's religious beliefs, we get...this cess pool of fascist, racist, zealots who exalt ignorance and greed. Of fucking course we are upset.

Why can't we have different political views and still be friends? Because you voted against all of our own best interests. We're all going to have to go through 4 years of hell because you hate people who aren't like you. He can't bring down grocery and gas prices. Trump supporters are indeed racists and fascists. You're a prime example.

I don't consider it whining to be pissed off that my body autonomy was traded for cheap gas. The majority of Americans are in favor of abortion rights as evidenced by how many ballots it was on at the state level. If conservatives actually wanted to do something other than control or punish women there are millions of studies that show was is actually effective in reducing unwanted pregnancies.
But they don't. So yeah I am going to "whine" about it and not feel sorry for any woman who voted for cheap gas and then finds themselves getting poor medical care. I live in the land of Catholic hospitals I am no stranger to how shitty women's health care is in the name of religion. It's only going to get worse.

She is just here to gloat and stir up shit now. No real desire to have a real conversation.
I hope that is simple enough for her to understand, and there are no grammatical or spelling errors.

Instead, tag her in a new post and reply to her there.

How about just not responding to her posts? They are meant to goad us. I decline to be goaded by her.
I scroll by her posts sometimes. Other times, I read them and shake my head as to why she would want to expose her own complete lack of critical thinking skills.
But blocking her works for some, and I agree that quoting increases the exposure.

hmm.....on a point of note, elitism is also fascist.
That counts for all sides.
I do agree though, the US economy is already better than most places
but you didn't get the message through.
The important issues got lost in a mass of inconsequential nonsense.
If you had said to rural America,......"this is where we are and this is what we can do for you"
but Trump got there first.
Kamala, well she didn't have enough time. It may have been better to get another leader a year ago

There are always so many to choose from.... You people are crazy no one makes more mistakes than the MD. Uncorrected typos or autocorrects (which are likely the result of trying to type on a phone) are bad, but they are still looked upon a bit more kindly than not being able to put together a coherent sentence.
