My garden is only half what it was.
Also, I have several items that I pulled out of my lawn shed to get rid of and put a free sign out, just saw it fell over. I have some more things to pull out of the basement.
The trailer renter is losing all the stuff he bought to his GF. He just let her have it. So, we have a twin bed, end table, lamp, and recliner, plus 2 kitchen chairs he can use. It's fine by me, I want that stuff out of the basement anyway, so good deal. One way to declutter and help someone else.

Ok, well I was planning to go back to try and figure out what is going on at Pink's house with the car situation. I missed something. So I need Pink to summarize the story for me if she is up for rehashing the whole story.I was awake early this am, just going to get out of bed to walk my Dogs, and DD called. She said she was standing in her parking lot to go to work and her car was gone. She lived downtown MKE near Fiserve Forum where the Bucks play. Her boyfriend has an indoor spot, but they gave her a pass to park on the surface lot. She pays $100.00 a month to park there. They towed her car b/c they say the parking pass was not displayed. DD said it was displayed, but the tag falls off her mirror. They do not open until 9 am, so DD got her boyfriend up, had him drive to our house so she could get our spare car, and went to work. Then I waited for DH to get ready and went with him to drop the dogs off at my in-laws and headed over to the North Side to get my DD's car. DH said she would not have been able to get it b/c her name is not on the title. It cost DH $355 to get it back from the tow lot. One of my Dogs has to sit on my lap if I am in the passenger seat, and DH was bitching at me over the car issue, and because DD's furniture is all over our house, so I had a stressful morning. In addition my Brother called last night bitching b/c my Mother apparently wrote 2-3 bad checks to the Dentist. Apparently my Brother and his wife go to the same dentist and they told my SIL about it. My Mom told me earlier this week that she wrote the checks and they bounced. I thought it was b/c the Bank changed and the routing number and the account number changed...But after I talked to my Brother I looked at the letter we got from the bank for our work accounts and it specifically says you can use up your existing checks. So, I have to go see if what I thought was the case is really what happened. Brother wants her to stop driving and he things she should move out of her house to some type of assisted living. I really think she is fine to stay where she is, and I am not sure about her driving. I have to try to call my sister and see what she thinks. DD is moving out of her apartment as of tomorrow, she has been living with her boyfriend for a few months and to get the parking pass she had to be added to the lease - she has been on the lease there for a month or two already. She hated the neighbors in her old apartment - working for the airline they often get up to go to work at 3:30 am so they go to be early. The kids upstairs were very noisy late into the night, so she just stopped trying to sleep there a long time ago. So, anyways a good amount of her possessions came to my house b/c her boyfriend kind of likes living downtown, and he will be up for promotion and moving on to another city within maybe 6 months so he extended his existing lease. His apartment was already furnished, and is only a one bedroom. DD is trying to get a management position too, and she may land in an entirely different city than him. She has a few things to move yet, but all the larger stuff is out. She said she can do what is left herself. I think a desk, the Keurig, and some miscellaneous stuff. Right now she has a cube shelf and her chairs from her kitchen table in my entryway and that is part of what DH was bitching about. I have places I want the pieces to go, but I can not accomplish it myself without DH helping, it remains to be seen if he will cooperate. He can be very stubborn about things. Going to call the car dealer for a report on my car today too. They have had it for Two weeks today. I’m not sure what you missed. Some people broke Mr’s T’s back window out of her Grand Cherokee SRT to try to steal it. They couldn’t drive off though because she has a club on the steering wheel. The police said there were 2 sets of footprints in the gap between their fence and the piece of a fence at the back of our property. There are no houses behind ours. There was mud in her car from where they climbed over the seat to get in the driver’s seat. They even adjusted the driver’s seat. There was something valuable in the car, but they didn’t look through the car. The police also said the thieves had probably been watching and would probably come back, prepared to cut the club off. The SRT is fast, that’s why it’s attractive to thieves. Mr. T said he figured somebody would try to steal it, but not this soon. It still has temporary tags on it. You have to get close to it or behind it to be able to tell it’s not a regular Grand Cherokee. We are the only 2 houses in our cove, so it’s not like a random person walking down the street would see what it was. I park the Jeep in our driveway, and you can’t see it at all unless you come all the way into our cove. I’m not sure you can see what’s in their driveway either, just passing our cove. Mrs. T was told she couldn’t get her window replaced until sometime next month. I put her in touch with a guy that’s always recommended in the local Jeep group on FB, and he replaced her window the next day. I was already always kind of nervous about getting in the Jeep to go to work because it’s so dark out there. There’s a light on that corner of the house that gets brighter when it detects motion, but since I’m the one making it brighter, it just makes me feel like I’m in a spotlight and can’t really see who or what is around me. I’m even more nervous about it now, so I’ll be driving my car to work even more often. My car lives in the garage. Mister was the one that noticed Mrs. T’s window missing when he was leaving for work (in the dark). He texted Mr. T to tell him they’d left it down. Mr. T got up and went outside, and that’s when he realized what had happened. Mr. T has been confining his dogs at night after all the mess with the neighbors behind him. His dogs aren’t really pets, they are bred and trained for certain types of work. Of course he’ll make sure they stay on his property, but I don’t think he’ll be keeping them confined at night anymore. I’ll just say I wouldn’t want to tangle with Mr. T’s dogs. Or Mr. T. Or heck, even his little bitty wife even though I’m bigger than her lol. Hopefully the police officers were wrong, and they won’t come back. And hopefully nobody else gets any bright ideas to commit crimes in our cove either. If any of them do, they just better hope they don’t get caught. I don’t like living in fear. I think that’s most of what I said about that situation. Yikes, Thanks for the Synopsis. You need a pole barn or a bigger garage. Lol. DH has too much Sh!t in our garage. 3+ Car Garage, one car parked inside. Right now (totally my fault) it has a desk and some office chairs and a big filing cabinet he got for Free on FB Marketplace. My fault 'cause I told DH about it, thinking he could put the desk in the remodeled office space in the front area of his office. He wants to put it in his own office which is the only area of his office that does not have new flooring. So that stuff is in the space where my car should be parked, until he replaces the flooring at the office. Before he does the floor they will be doing the roof. It is not leaking, DH said it could wait 3 more years, but he got the shingles for free so they will go ahead and do it asap, but he says they have to have a weekend with no rain in the forecast for 2 days. It rained last weekend and it is supposed to rain this weekend too. In our 3rd car + garage, DH also has a bout a gazillion tools and a gazillion grills and wheel barrows and ladders and whatnot along with lawn furniture and Lawn mowers and Christmas decor.

We are going to sell the boat, that frees up a bay and hubs is still decluttering out there. That garage he built shelving in, but it still needs a lot of cleaning. His main garage is looking really good. But I told him I know there is more to go in there.
We have our cars in garages, so that part is ok and all our lawn equipment and the old tractor. It's getting better here.

In our 3rd car + garage, DH also has a bout a gazillion tools and a gazillion grills and wheel barrows and ladders and whatnot along with lawn furniture and Lawn mowers and Christmas decor. I’ve considered maybe we need to have another garage built instead of getting a shed. I never thought we’d end up with 5 vehicles though. But the Jeep was a good price, I could’ve sold it the day after we bought it for more than we paid for it. The Tahoe was a good price, we could sell it tomorrow for more than we paid for it. Then we have Mister’s old Lincoln and our 2 Hondas (mine is a 2003, but she’s still awesome). Mr. and Mrs. T have a lot of vehicles too. Besides the SRT, he has a Challenger, a nice pickup truck, 2 old sports cars (that run) and their daughter has a new car that she doesn’t drive because she won’t go get her license lol. We have 3 cars in our driveway, they have 3 in their driveway and the cove. The thieves didn’t bother anything but the SRT, not even the Challenger. And all of their vehicles are loud. If the thieves had actually started the SRT, it would’ve been a lot of noise for the middle of the night. OG still barks every time they start one of their vehicles. I still can’t figure out why our garage is so small when our house was built in the early 70’s. I KNOW most cars were still pretty big in the early 70’s lol. So why do we have this tiny garage?!Mister’s old Lincoln was made in the late 90’s and you can’t let the garage door down if it’s in the garage. Our Hondas barely fit, and mine is a coupe. The funny thing is that you can park the Jeep in there and turn flips on all sides lol. The first time DD rode in the Jeep and had to wrestle getting DGD2’s car seat in the back seat she asked me how in the world I’d managed to find a Jeep smaller than my car. It was funny because it really is smaller than my car lol.

Mister and Mr. T are over at the gap between our yards right now, talking to some guy about putting fencing up there. Mrs. T told me the other day that Mr. T had said he’d split the cost with Mister. I told her we’d let the men hash that out lol. It is really on both of our properties, but I can see Mister insisting on paying it all himself, because he’s the one that had most of the junk growing there cut down, which made it even easier for people to trespass by walking through there.
Closing that gap off will help, but the fence at the back of our lot only goes about halfway down our property. Mister and I really need to fence the whole back yard in. Idk if Mister is asking the guy today about an estimate for that or not. The last estimate we got was for $12k for just closing in part of the back yard, and that was before lumber costs increased like they have. Our lot is 3/4 acre, and although our front yard is a nice size, most of it is on the back of the house.

Omg. I haven't been in KFC for forever. Damn it's gotten expensive. I took Carrot here for his last meal and after seeing the prices I'm letting him eat alone. I'll have something when I get home. Everything is getting expensive. I feel old. I will find some young people to shake my fist at..

My daughter-in-law texted and asked if I wanted to go to lunch since she would be up this way. Sure. Then I get a call from my daughter who said she just found out we were having lunch so she's coming, too. Even better. Since I got to pick because of my diet, I picked up the check. Since when was lunch for 3 $50 at Cracker Barrel? It was fun, and I saved half of my lunch for tomorrow. I have lost 24 pounds so far.
Great job!!

My nephews are like that, Alan who is the oldest and full Mexican will not eat spicy food and Junior who is half white and half Mexican will eat the spiciest food he can find and still add hot sauce, lol I'm of German ancestry, raised in Ohio at a time when the most exotic ethnic restaurant around was a pseudo-Polynesian one called Bali H'ai. I LOVE spicy. I don't go for levels that kill the other tastes of the food but I have a lot of hot spices (chipotle powder, ghost pepper, various powdered pepper mixes, Dave's Insanity Sauce) in my kitchen and I can't wait till my Carolina Reaper and Cayenne pepper plants bear fruit. DS also likes spicy but the grandchildren, who eat an impressive variety of food, aren't into it. BF and I had a pleasant drive to Omaha until the last 5 miles, which took an HOUR. Turned out to be a major intersection with train tracks going across and the lights and signals were perpetually indicating an oncoming train- so basically no traffic signals. Pretty awful. But- we're in for the night and I went out and picked up dinner at Panera. It was a 5-minute walk and refreshing after sitting in the car all that time. We're in west Omaha- hotels near the meeting were pretty much booked when we decided to come here for the Berkshire meeting. The woman at the desk at the Hampton where we're staying said she has one room left- for $400/night.

Toddler went to day care today. He's still not 100%. He was VERY unhappy that mommy and grandma were gone when he got home and he had to deal with only daddy and me. He only wanted mommy. It took the both of us to keep him somewhat entertained--until he realized that mommy still wasn't there.
Mommy did say he is clingy but he is extremely clingy since being sent home from day care on Tuesday. He usually leaves at 5 PM. They called at 4:30 PM and wanted him gone.
So far, none of the adults have caught hand, foot and mouth disease.
Mommy and Grandma went out to get their nails done. Both of them needed an outing without the Toddler. My niece in law got sunflowers for Ukraine on her nails. They are very pretty.
Grandma cooked dinner and was disappointed the Toddler refused cucumbers. He did eat the mashed potatoes and carrots she fixed him. She keeps saying he is weak and needs porridge, mashed potatoes, bread and carrot sticks. He thought the carrot stick was a toy.
When I left, the parents had gone to sign their tax return and Grandma was playing with the Toddler.

I've only encountered one meal I could not finish because of the heat level, Camarones ala Diablo at our local taqueria. They brought me cold milk.
The next three hottest meals I did finish were an Ethiopian dinner, goat curry at a Uyghur bistro, and Kung Pao chicken at a Sichuan bistro. Participating in local politics requires a cast iron stomach and lots of Tums.

The next three hottest meals I did finish were an Ethiopian dinner, goat curry at a Uyghur bistro, and Kung Pao chicken at a Sichuan bistro. Participating in local politics requires a cast iron stomach and lots of Tums. What's weird is that my stomach never gets upset. When I was married to the Ex and I was somewhere in business I'd happily seek out Thai, Ethiopian, Vietnamese- stuff that would have left him in the bathroom all night. I do remember a Chicken Vindaloo in England that was a bit over-the-top and the time I had one Bloody Mary and asked the Ex to tell them to make the next one spicier- I swear he told them to make it half Tabasco. That was hard to finish but I did it just so he wouldn't have the satisfaction of seeing me unable to drink it. No stomach issues at all. Ah, I remember a Chicken Mulligatawny in Toronto that was so potent it cleared up the nasty sinus congestion I had. Best medicine ever. I'm running a wash- in the hotel. I had a guy come in to look at my washing machine that's making a scary grinding noise but now he has to do some research. I do not want it to die before he can get it fixed and my sheets were getting nasty. I had no idea coin-operated laundry machines were so avaricious and that you had to put in more quarters for heavier loads.

My kitty brought me a fat mouse before he came in. They sure like to catch them.
I'm nibbling tonight, a couple of cutie oranges, thinking of peeling and eating a mango. I had a ham sandwich with lettuce, and mayo for dinner. I let DD and hubs have the fajitas, there is still some left, I just didn't want any tonight.
Inflation is getting the renters I think, 2 have paid 3/4's of their rent and going to have to pay the rest next week. I only had one that had trouble during covid but now I think they are struggling. I hate to see this happening to them.
I expect they will vote against Biden big time, but not much he can do about it. It's just part of the cycle, and likely aggravated by keeping interest rates too low.
Think I will read a bit.

Can’t the peacock (soup’s not drama’s) guard pink’s yard? Or does my head hurt to much too and I’ve misunderstood those situations?

I went up a little bit more and it looks like we bought a house! It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, a nice deck; 1340 sq feet. Just right for us as we downsize.

Can’t the peacock (soup’s not drama’s) guard pink’s yard? Or does my head hurt to much too and I’ve misunderstood those situations? No, @pinkcshmere needs guinea fowl. They roost up in the trees and make a truly horrendous noise if anything comes around. And the hens aren't bad to eat, just saying. But that pic is exactly what our neighborhood bird looks like in a sort of miniature version.

We haven't been raising rents, so far people move once in awhile and we up it then. But there will come a day I'm sure when we will need to. Right now we are still good.
