If anyone was wondering, the Pineapple Jalapeno Popper dip from Sam's Club is really good... Is it very spicy? I'm a wuss. Yes, I know exactly how brown I am. My dad makes fun of me for being Mexican and not eating spicy food.

Checking the radar and hoping for a miracle, but it's not going to happen. My poor kid has had nothing but horrid weather for all his campouts this year. Last time it got down to 15 degrees at night and was horribly windy and snowy during the day and this weekend it looks like nothing but non-stop rain and storms from the time they arrive until they pack up on Sunday. I mean really, how much fun can fly fishing and bird watching be in a thunderstorm?

I have decided that today is the day that I join a gym. With 2 grown kids at home (for a little while longer, anyway) and DH's new work schedule, I can devote time to myself without feeling like I am abandoning anyone.

Anyone know what magical page number we were on? I was surprised and sad to find it gone this morning. The last page I read yesterday afternoon was 4890. Totally shocked when I checked in today and found only 3 pages. I thought I had clicked on the wrong post.

My daughter-in-law texted and asked if I wanted to go to lunch since she would be up this way. Sure. Then I get a call from my daughter who said she just found out we were having lunch so she's coming, too. Even better. Since I got to pick because of my diet, I picked up the check. Since when was lunch for 3 $50 at Cracker Barrel? It was fun, and I saved half of my lunch for tomorrow. I have lost 24 pounds so far. Then my DIL asked if I minded stopping by Joann's and Publix on my way home. countrygirl2, Butterick patterns are on sale there for $1.99, and they do have online shopping/shipping. There was nothing I needed there, but I did pick up some groceries at Publix. My DIL is "interesting." She is making the corsage and boutonniere for my grandson and his date. And she bought basil for the greenery part! I never comment since I am not creative like that and don't think in the same ways.

Finally was able to log into my bank to see if my tax refund was in yet. What with this thread going poof and my bank being offline yesterday and weird today, I was getting a little nervous. I'm not into conspiracy theories but...

The angry bear is certainly busy today! I've had at least a half dozen sightings, and a possibly eaten post or two

I haven't seen the bear this afternoon but he was straight-out-of-the-den hangry this morning.

Moo do is suppose. To go with me to KOGER. I WAS JUST GETTING READY TO CALL HIM TO SEE IF HE IS REALLY GOING. I HAVE TO PICK MY MEDS. WHAT ARE YOU UP TO?

And another neighbor just posted a photo of the peacock now roaming our area. Last night's midnight post was questionable but today's photo proves it wasn't a chemically induced mirage.

Ok, well I was planning to go back to try and figure out what is going on at Pink's house with the car situation. I missed something. So I need Pink to summarize the story for me if she is up for rehashing the whole story.I was awake early this am, just going to get out of bed to walk my Dogs, and DD called. She said she was standing in her parking lot to go to work and her car was gone. She lived downtown MKE near Fiserve Forum where the Bucks play. Her boyfriend has an indoor spot, but they gave her a pass to park on the surface lot. She pays $100.00 a month to park there. They towed her car b/c they say the parking pass was not displayed. DD said it was displayed, but the tag falls off her mirror. They do not open until 9 am, so DD got her boyfriend up, had him drive to our house so she could get our spare car, and went to work. Then I waited for DH to get ready and went with him to drop the dogs off at my in-laws and headed over to the North Side to get my DD's car. DH said she would not have been able to get it b/c her name is not on the title. It cost DH $355 to get it back from the tow lot. One of my Dogs has to sit on my lap if I am in the passenger seat, and DH was bitching at me over the car issue, and because DD's furniture is all over our house, so I had a stressful morning. In addition my Brother called last night bitching b/c my Mother apparently wrote 2-3 bad checks to the Dentist. Apparently my Brother and his wife go to the same dentist and they told my SIL about it. My Mom told me earlier this week that she wrote the checks and they bounced. I thought it was b/c the Bank changed and the routing number and the account number changed...But after I talked to my Brother I looked at the letter we got from the bank for our work accounts and it specifically says you can use up your existing checks. So, I have to go see if what I thought was the case is really what happened. Brother wants her to stop driving and he things she should move out of her house to some type of assisted living. I really think she is fine to stay where she is, and I am not sure about her driving. I have to try to call my sister and see what she thinks. DD is moving out of her apartment as of tomorrow, she has been living with her boyfriend for a few months and to get the parking pass she had to be added to the lease - she has been on the lease there for a month or two already. She hated the neighbors in her old apartment - working for the airline they often get up to go to work at 3:30 am so they go to be early. The kids upstairs were very noisy late into the night, so she just stopped trying to sleep there a long time ago. So, anyways a good amount of her possessions came to my house b/c her boyfriend kind of likes living downtown, and he will be up for promotion and moving on to another city within maybe 6 months so he extended his existing lease. His apartment was already furnished, and is only a one bedroom. DD is trying to get a management position too, and she may land in an entirely different city than him. She has a few things to move yet, but all the larger stuff is out. She said she can do what is left herself. I think a desk, the Keurig, and some miscellaneous stuff. Right now she has a cube shelf and her chairs from her kitchen table in my entryway and that is part of what DH was bitching about. I have places I want the pieces to go, but I can not accomplish it myself without DH helping, it remains to be seen if he will cooperate. He can be very stubborn about things. Going to call the car dealer for a report on my car today too. They have had it for Two weeks today. I’m not sure what you missed. Some people broke Mr’s T’s back window out of her Grand Cherokee SRT to try to steal it. They couldn’t drive off though because she has a club on the steering wheel. The police said there were 2 sets of footprints in the gap between their fence and the piece of a fence at the back of our property. There are no houses behind ours. There was mud in her car from where they climbed over the seat to get in the driver’s seat. They even adjusted the driver’s seat. There was something valuable in the car, but they didn’t look through the car. The police also said the thieves had probably been watching and would probably come back, prepared to cut the club off. The SRT is fast, that’s why it’s attractive to thieves. Mr. T said he figured somebody would try to steal it, but not this soon. It still has temporary tags on it. You have to get close to it or behind it to be able to tell it’s not a regular Grand Cherokee. We are the only 2 houses in our cove, so it’s not like a random person walking down the street would see what it was. I park the Jeep in our driveway, and you can’t see it at all unless you come all the way into our cove. I’m not sure you can see what’s in their driveway either, just passing our cove. Mrs. T was told she couldn’t get her window replaced until sometime next month. I put her in touch with a guy that’s always recommended in the local Jeep group on FB, and he replaced her window the next day. I was already always kind of nervous about getting in the Jeep to go to work because it’s so dark out there. There’s a light on that corner of the house that gets brighter when it detects motion, but since I’m the one making it brighter, it just makes me feel like I’m in a spotlight and can’t really see who or what is around me. I’m even more nervous about it now, so I’ll be driving my car to work even more often. My car lives in the garage. Mister was the one that noticed Mrs. T’s window missing when he was leaving for work (in the dark). He texted Mr. T to tell him they’d left it down. Mr. T got up and went outside, and that’s when he realized what had happened. Mr. T has been confining his dogs at night after all the mess with the neighbors behind him. His dogs aren’t really pets, they are bred and trained for certain types of work. Of course he’ll make sure they stay on his property, but I don’t think he’ll be keeping them confined at night anymore. I’ll just say I wouldn’t want to tangle with Mr. T’s dogs. Or Mr. T. Or heck, even his little bitty wife even though I’m bigger than her lol. Hopefully the police officers were wrong, and they won’t come back. And hopefully nobody else gets any bright ideas to commit crimes in our cove either. If any of them do, they just better hope they don’t get caught. I don’t like living in fear. I think that’s most of what I said about that situation.

Omg. I haven't been in KFC for forever. Damn it's gotten expensive. I took Carrot here for his last meal and after seeing the prices I'm letting him eat alone. I'll have something when I get home.

Unfortunately, yes, it's perma-gone. A mod deleted it, according to the security log. There's no way to tell whether it was purposeful or accidental (like the intention was to delete a post or two, but accidentally did the whole thread instead). I'm waiting for a response to my PM.
PB has backups, but they won't do a restore unless the loss is due to a malfunction on their part.

Got some done today. I weeded around my lawn shed, and a circular flower bed, along the side of the house. Weed ate all the way around the house and the side walk but didn't get done. I ran out of weed eater string and was worn out anyway so quit. What I have done looks good.
I spaded up a circular flower bed and planted 10 marigolds, so less than half is planted. Saturday going to go vote and see about buying some more flowers in the city. And buy some non GMO tomato plants. I'm going to get 2 big ones, the rest will be smaller ones. I'm planting some stuff from seed. I'm planting my giant elephant ears and some smaller ones in the back flower bed. And will put some plants there that just need some sun and shade. Hubs is tilling it so I can get more clematis roots out of there.
If I find good relish in the store I'm not making more. Going to be pulling back on making a lot of this stuff, we don't eat as much as we used to.

My nephews are like that, Alan who is the oldest and full Mexican will not eat spicy food and Junior who is half white and half Mexican will eat the spiciest food he can find and still add hot sauce, lol
