The place we sold up here is closing next week. We took a hit, they apparently found some rotten wood under the living room floor, said they didn't know what it would cost to fix it. So we got $85 instead of $92, I don't care, the damn thing is sold. Hubs said likely wouldn't fix it. I thought it had metal under instead of wood, who knows. But I'm happy to not sell at a loss, we will recover all our costs plus some and be rid of the $730 a month rent. That land was bought by investors, so they are really jacking the rent up. Huge relief, believe me. Now I can do a few things here I want to do.
Went to doc, going to get a chest xray. I get something called bronchial induced asthma when I get colds or flu. But she listened today and there was wheezing in the bottom of my lungs. I'm going to use an albuterol inhaler as needed and said to start taking an OTC allergy pill daily, she thinks that allergies could be part of the issue. I think so also.
I would like to take a brief nap then go get my groceries and make cookies for today. I didn't sleep long last night and I'm tired.
Think I'm making pancakes for lunch, maybe some bacon and a couple scrambled eggs too, we are all hungry.
To work I go.

DD(25YO) contracted RSV from a regular cold brought into the house when she was @8 weeks old. She had no symptoms other than a regular cold, but could not keep formula down. Started Pedialyte mixed with water at doctor's rec. A day later while getting ready for bed I noticed she was moving her eyes, but not her limbs - it was like she talking to me with her eyes. Rushed her to the local ER, where they life flighted us to Children's hospital in Washington DC. They cut off my headphones during the flight and later told me why. She went on a ventilator as soon as we landed and was on it for a week, and in the hospital for a month. She nearly died twice that week. This was before the vaccine.
As a single mom at the time, I have to recognize the Ronald McDonald House for what they provided me. Especially long distance calls - cell phones where non existent in this area, or at least no signal.
I should also call my uncle from Baltimore who was at the hospital when we got there (he drove through a snow storm). That support meant the world to me. My dad, who had driven us to the ER doubled back to pick up my mom and they were there later that night. And I do appreciate my mom calling her brother so that I would not be alone.

Wow, daisylu. It's good it all turned out, but that is very scary.

Slowly getting the house together.
Ended up taking a 2 hour nap. Made Wilbur's day he slept on me the entire time.
Bathroom is clean. Doing the sun room floor. Next is the kitchen. Then we need to clean the fridge.
Will probably have to hijack dad's fridge again. Very handy to have him right across the street.

To repel mice use peppermint oil along the edges of the room. They can't stand the intensity of the smell and run away. You can put the oil on cotton balls.

Peanut butter in a trap got mine while my nephew was fixing the other traps. It just couldn't resist. The glue traps but I can't do the glue traps. They squeal until they die. I put PB in the trap. It won't bite. It's in the bathroom of all places. I think I'm going to put another trap in the basement and see if it likes that one.

Pep band tonight? Really? I was thinking I was off the hook for any school shuttling until next Monday. Guess not. So, have to run like mad to get to piano and then home to make it back to town by 6:30.

I'm within a week's work of being done with the book. I just found some new material at the very end including an old document I'll have to take to FedEx and copy

Good grief. Insurance won't cover the 10 days' worth of cough medicine prescribed to me, so they are going to try 7 days. See if that gets covered!
Plus, DD's cat Mitten has advanced kidney cancer and won't be with us for much longer. DD is surprisingly ok, tearful but not broken into pieces.
I need the cough medicine so I can sleep. I need to sleep so I won't be completely peel-me-off-the-wall loony.

my office isn't quite presentable yet, but it's getting there. I've gotten all the work stuff separated and stacked up to go to the shredder, and I can see the surface of my desk. I have cube shelving in here, and I'm going to be purging those as well. I found some more release paperwork from during COVID, and checked in with B to let him know I had another stack for him. so he's gonna come down soon and we will meet up for some drinks and I'll give him the stack.

I am hoping that tonight goes better than last night. Kiddo spent the night again which meant that Mister slept in the bed with me last night. Or tried to. Around 1am, he got out of bed, and whatever I was doing that disturbed him so much, I was awake enough to know he was leaving when he did. I could not go back to sleep, and a couple hours later my stomach started acting a fool enough that I was actually glad he’d left the bedroom. I was having so many issues with pain and running back and forth to the bathroom, that I was still wide awake when everybody else started getting up in the morning. I hadn’t slept at all, not even dozed off for just a few minutes, because my stomach wouldn’t let me. I have been awake since then, even though I laid in bed and tried to sleep after the house quieted down again. Ao of course I have not eaten anything today either. I know people have recently been suggesting that not letting my stomach get empty will probably help with my stomach issues. But my stomach was not empty last night. I ate dinner last night, and it included some fiber. I’ve been dealing with this for almost 2 years now, and it really does not seem to have much to do with what I eat, or what’s in my stomach or not. In my experience, when my stomach really goes haywire like that, it doesn’t stop until I guess there’s nothing left in my gut for it to fuss with. That is why when it was happening constantly, the only thing I could figure out to do, was just not eat anything at all for days, so I could try to be able to go to work. But the physical exertion of working made me hungry, so I’d eat something basic like baked chicken and rice, and even that would start the cycle all over again, with my stomach rebelling and acting a fool. So it seemed like the best way to try to avoid all of that, was to not out anything in my stomach at all, for as many days as I could avoid it. So that is why I haven’t eaten anything today. I need to get up early tomorrow morning to work my side gig, and I won’t be able to do it if I’m up all night again tonight, when I’m already beyond exhausted from last night. I did not do anything productive today because I felt so bad and was so tired. Which means I haven’t washed my work clothes or did other laundry, I haven’t shampooed my hair, I haven’t done anything I needed to do today. I most definitely did not do any housekeeping and both sides of the kitchen sink are full of dirty dishes, even though I ran the dishwasher yesterday. The trash can in the laundry room is overflowing and has trash on the floor around it, even though Mister did empty that trash can yesterday morning. Right now, I don’t even care about the dirty dishes and the trash. I only have enough energy to concern myself with what I need to do tomorrow. I'm sure you mentioned this already (I was gone for a while), but have you seen a GI specialist? Maybe get some tests run? DH struggled for years before he realized he had Celiac disease. You'd be surprised how many foods and food items have wheat in them (soy sauce, some ground spices, vanilla extract). He also struggles with spicy things, tomato, sugar, onion, and garlic. I'm not saying you have Celiac. I guess I'm saying that if you haven't gotten your GI issues looked into medically, you should. And I apologize if you've already done this and discussed it on here. You shouldn't have to go days at a time without eating just to function. Yes, I’ve seen a GI specialist, and have a million tests run. No need to apologize, I know you were gone for a while.

I found 2 gigantic turkey legs at the big store today so I'll wrap them individually for the freezer - one will be a huge meal for both of us sometime during December and January. We love turkey!

My poor hubs is so tired and feels bad, poor guy. He said the pain is moving a bit. He is miserable, never seen him like this.
I took a nap, as did hubs. I made my list and am heading to town. Need to go to the bank, get gas, grocer, and pharmacy, need to do so before everyone gets off work, so I'm out of here.
I woke up with my hair looking nice, just combed it, I love how the beautician styled it. I can't afford that though, for DD and I it was $225, gasp!!!! But we look good, LOL!

I'm convinced that your stomach issues are caused by stress. Your home environment is very stressful and contentious. I think you'll have stomach problems until things are resolved or you move out. You are correct about my GI issues being caused by stress, and what my home environment is like. I am working on it. And I don’t necessarily mean the home environment, besides being more vocal about certain things than I have been in the past.

It’s stupid that your insurance won’t cover 10 days. I had my doc write a script for it to have on hand. I think I had to pay out of pocket for it, but it wasn’t much.
