I managed to fall asleep for a bit. I had a weird dream. Woke up and now I'm on the couch with Jackson and coffee.

Should have just taken the week off. 

Coworker sent a request late Friday, which I took care of this morning. Only to find that what she was asking for was on the meeting invite for the meeting that she attended! She says she does not see it and knowing her so well she does not, because it is an attachment on the invite not in the body of the invite. And she is flustered about a lot of work things. And she knows she has ADHD but will not discuss it with her doctor. If she does not go on some type of med soon I am going to need meds to deal with her.

At least my only pressing agenda today is our "Teamsgiving" at noon. And I would really like to have my encased Justin Tucker jersey hung on the wall before then.

This bronchitis has me back on my heels. I awoke 3 times last night coughing, then slept right through the time to catch the dawn. Franklin the Dog woke me at 7:30. I'm tired. Whine, whine, more whining and a sigh. I am glad I've got a doctor's appointment today. She won't be happy, I think, because this was supposed to be an annual well check, but so be it. As long as I get the stuff that stops the coughing!

It took all I had yesterday to do two loads of laundry, but now they're done.

I haven't been going to the beach in the morning. I took this picture a year ago:

Mom is feeling better and ramped up into self pity mode. She's 80 and complaining she doesn't look 50 anymore. She's also trying to convince me she hasn't done anything nice for herself in 13 years. Which isn't true because dad told her to go out and splurge and she showed.me what she bought. They also went on vacation while he was being treated and I'm sure my mom did some shopping.

It still shocks me that she is 80 and can't say "I could use help.  When are you free.to help? 

Its I am supposed to read her mind that she wants the thing done, drop everything and then go do it. Or do it because I was ordered to. And.then I'm supposed to interact with the passive aggressive comments because I cant read.her.mind.

I don't respond and that's held.against me too.

Same old same.old.  Except I have 0 capacity to deal with it anymore.

So no I will not visit. I'll look the asshole even though I'm not. And I will continue to loathe the holidays and fake.my way through.

Well, this has been a Monday morning.  Carrot and I both overslept which is highly unusual for him (not for me).  We got up at 6:45am, but with mad scrambling still made it to the high school in time for 7:30am Jazz band and I was on track to only be 5-10 minutes late for work. Only when we got to the school Carrot realized he forgot his backpack....so tack on another 40 minutes of driving to run home and get that for him.  I think the only thing that saved me from wiping out a deer speeding across the ridge during those two trips was that it was Snoring out (downpouring rain mixed with snow ).  The deer were probably hunkered down.

I started to clean my kitchen on Saturday morning in prep for family Thanksgiving we decided to host at the last minute last week, and I found flour bugs in my pantry cabinet.  So, I pulled everything out of that cabinet and my lazy susan cabinet, purged a bunch of stuff, sprayed the cabinet, wiped everything down, replaced the shelf paper and put everything back.  I also wiped down the 2 drawers I have utensils in and ran everything through the dishwasher.  Then I sorted through the mail that has piled up.  DH and I have to find time to wash the carpets early this week, but I absolutely have to work Monday and Tuesday.  I am a bit behind on a deadline that was moved up on me.  

We also activated the air tags I bought a few months ago when my Miniature Schnauzer Liberated himself and put them on each dog's collar.  Then I added an air tag to my car keys and had DH set one up on his phone for the keys he is constantly misplacing.  I have 3 left.  DH actually has another set of keys he could put one on, but he did not think it was necessary.  I will need the other ones for luggage if we ever travel anywhere.

DS and her DH worked at mom's yesterday.  We had found an old olive green Tupperware pickle container in the kitchen and DS told me she could sell it if we found the rest of it.  Well, we found the insert that pulls up in the basement last week.  I told my brother that DS was going to sell it all, and she said when she got there he had pitched it in the dumpster.  She said she found the cover for it when she was packing stuff up, so she fished it out of the dumpster with a broom handle.  She went to get mom's Chirstmas dishes b/c she wants to get them listed and sell the set before Christmas. Her DH took some more stuff from the garage.  There really wasn't anything of value in there, I think he is taking stuff to the .  He took my Dad's shop vac for his shop.  I kind of feel it is a small payment for the work of cleaning the house out, so I have no problem with him getting a few things.  I had a mani-pedi scheduled for Sunday, but I had called on Friday and moved it to this coming Friday.  After I get my mani-pedi I will probably work at Mom's.  We also need to decorate for Christmas, and I will probably work at least 4 hours.

Home from the dermatologist.  She took more skin cancer off my nose and I go back in 2 weeks to get stitches removed,

I am so relieved there is no Mohs surgery in my near future,

It was a bit warmer yesterday than it has been, so I took advantage and did some gardening.  I dug up, trimmed, and stored the roots/bulbs to my canna plants, then straightened the garage a bit.  It's still a bit of a wreck, but the little I did helped a bit.  

Does anyone else have a problem letting good used cardboard boxes go?  I occasionally mail something to the kids and grandkids or need a box to contain a gift for wrapping.  But I have WAY too many right now. I probably need to focus on what I need for the Christmas wrapping and mailing, and then recycle the rest.  

I did get the tree up yesterday.  I have a tree with lights, but for a few years the middle section hasn't worked so I've added strings of lights to blend it into the other lights. Now the lights at the top of the tree don't work. I think I'll grab a few boxes of lights when I'm out later and skip using the built in lights. And I'll go with 100% little white lights.  Then, the ornaments. 

Speaking of trees, my mother always got her granddaughters Hallmark ornaments each year.  My daughter has a nice collection of them.  Now I buy Hallmark ornaments for my granddaughters.

About animals and where they sleep... my little dog (Shih Tzu mix) loves her crate.  It's in my bedroom.  She sleeps in there at night and it is her sanctuary.  I keep the crate door open and she naps in there during the day.  At night, if I'm staying up late to watch TV or read, she'll sit in front of my chair and stare at me to remind me it's bedtime.  We woke up an hour ago, she spent a little time in the yard, came in and checked out her food and water bowls, and went back to the crate.  She is my fifth dog.  Every dog is different; even the two Labs I had were unique.

I got taken out of work in an ambulance with a kidney stone back in 2005.  It was like one of my first weeks back after taking several years off, so that was stressful, I was so worried about my job that I went back after they drugged me up for the pain.

I've had them a couple times and they are excruciating, but for me the pain is while they're in the kidney.  They described them to me as all spiky and they get caught in the winding tubules in the kidney and cause backup pressure. Once they made it out of the kidney I was fine, passing them was not an issue.

Exactly. And if I was cut off then I'd act like I was cut off and have zero contact with mumsy and give zero fucks.
