I made it to the gym last night and to night. I was home today however, and I am way more active when I at work.

I got in one 15 minute walk today and about 45 mins of shoveling. Water and food is good. Fingers crossed I go below 170 lbs tomorrow morning.

Made it to my 16 hours today. On the dot. A coworker came by with some deer bologna and wanted to break together. It was worth it.

I think what I like best about IF is that you don't have to adhere to some hard target.
Like, yesterday, I was aiming for another 36 hours but got to hour 23 and decided to end my fast then. Today, I was aiming for 18 but am going to end at 16 instead.

Down 0.6 lbs since Tuesday. Really not doing much different. Eating a little more beef and bean chili, and salads with French dressing of all things (French is just about the worst calorie-wise). Tiny bit less booze, but I had a second piece of pizza last night, which I rarely do. No exercise, though I should.

I had delicious potato chips yesterday. Lots of them. Today, there's water retention. lol.
I was able to get some time on the recumbent bike Wednesday evening. Yesterday, I chillaxed and binge-watched Criminal Minds on Netflix.
I haven't decided what today will bring. It's sunny out so I may get some trekking in at the park.

170 even this morning. The scale is tormenting me. I am dying to get into the 160's. Taking Magnesium Glycinate every night ensures a good one pound weight loss shortly after I get up and get moving in the morning. I've found that I tend to be three lbs less each morning from what I weigh when I go to bed at night even with the day to day fluctuation.

175 this morning, so down 3 lb from last Sunday. I think meal prep for this week will be Asian themed. So I will make a big batch of steak/green peppers/mushrooms/onions and broccoli. I have some fish sauce, fresh ginger, garlic, red pepper sauce, and soy sauce I will season it with. I also may make the vanilla spice cake for the girls that I didn't get done last week, and the oldest wants to make her mac and cheese.

So... No progress since last week. In fact, I'm up 0.1 to 209.3. I did track, but I did not make good choices. And I did not hit my water goal, didn't even get close a single day. Sigh. I need to relocate the fire I had when I came back to this group late last year. I've set my goals, I know where I want to go and why I want to get there. Now I need something to kick me in the ass so I get back to doing what I know works. This is about where I am mentally. I know what to do and how to do it. I'm just not doing it.

No weight loss this week but no gain either. Steps are definitely up after the drop that I had the week prior. No tracking of food at all--it's either laziness or avoidance, but I'm not sure which. Had one day of bad heartburn. With my current weight, the shape of my face is annoying me.

Weekly check-in
Hit step goal. Water good. Getting to bed could use improvement. Food choices need improvement.
This week's goals 1. Get out of bed without hitting snooze 2. Water intake - average 35 ounces 3. Step goal 35000 - this is lower this week as work will be stressful 4. Attempt not to stress eat.

This past week the scale is still jumping up & down in the 3 pound range. I am getting my steps in, but I'm not leaving the house much due to cold temps (right now the wind chill is -10), so I'm sure that's not helping me any. Plus, I have to dig through a bunch of paperwork at home this week, which doesn't exactly count as exercise. Then, throw in my Covid booster scheduled for later this week (and wondering if I'll feel ill afterwards), and I'm thinking I'd better be thankful if I can simply maintain where I'm at right now. I'll get more active when the weather improves. And, I know my motivation will improve towards Spring. So, for now I'd probably better be happy just to maintain where I'm at. Here's to better days ahead...

I stepped on the scale at the gym over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised! I was so sure I was going to be up and I wasn't. Whew. I probably should buy myself a new scale - my old one broke last summer and I haven't yet replaced it.
Work isn't quite so crazy this week, so I'm hoping that means I hit my step goal each day. The first 3 weeks of January were insane at work and I barely had time to for bathroom breaks, let alone time for a mid-day walk. I know it's going to be like that again soon, so I'm trying to enjoy the slightly slower pace of this week.

The scale didn't budge this last week, still 209.3 this morning. Same story as before: tracked; poor choices; and no water. Still looking for the motivation I misplaced back in December... I decided I better start starting, and soon. I made a mini-goal of 200.0 for February 22nd, and if I don't hit it I can't make the extra mortgage payment. Chipping away at the mortgage is top priority for me and DH, so gotta get my behind in gear. Going to go back and read my posts from Nov/Dec last year, see if that sparks something. The progress from you all is really inspiring too! Maybe I'll start a secret, one-sided competition with someone. Thanks for letting me vent/whine.

Tuesdays are hard because youngest has soccer practice 6:30 to 7:30 indoor, parents are not allowed in. So if I make the gym it is a late night. I am still going to plan on it. I also go back and forth between getting something to count my steps at work. Part of me really wants to know, another part of me doesn't. It is also that time of the month where I hate moving and just want to lay in bed with a heating pad.

I did that many a time while my kids were in dance or gymnastics or bastketball.

I used that time to go to the store and get some things I needed. I have walked around when they were outside and practice was 1.5 hours. The rest of the week I should be able to go my normal time. Sunday I might miss because I have the monthly pool league.

My company started offering a program thru Omada - anyone done it? I signed up, seems like small group setup with lessons and a health coach. They are sending me a digital scale. Going to make this the boost to get my health/weight back on track.

Going to stores can add a ton of steps. Shopping is good for your health! 😂
Never heard of Omada.
I forgot to weigh myself this morning, with a 9 am meeting and a kid home from school, I completely forgot. I like to weigh before breakfast. I was up a pound last time after being down .6 prior. Damn cheesecake!

Going to make this the boost to get my health/weight back on track. I have not heard of it. After googling it, it seems similar to an app we use that tracks our steps and you choose other healthy habits each week. If you meet your goals you get to spin the wheel, which consists of points up to 250 and $5 Amazon cards. When you reach 2500 points you get to choose from various $25 gift cards. You also get spins for stuff like pap smear, dental screening, Covid vaccine & booster, volunteering, financial classes, and a bunch of other stuff. I looked back and last year I got to the 2500 points 4 times and hit the $5 Amazon cards on the wheel 7 times. I will take whatever I can get!

Blergh to last week for me. DS(9) ended up with Covid, so we were all home all week and I got way less steps than normal. It was also cold here and I was unmotivated to get outside. So we reset on Monday. And luckily no one else got it (so far, at least).
Got a ton of steps in on Monday and a 2-mile walk yesterday. Not as many today, but I’ve already improved since last week.
