Check in
I have not been drinking water or getting in steps for the last few weeks. Oh well hopefully this week will move in the correct direction or at least no gain going into the Holidays.

Binge eating again. The Thanksgiving festivities pushed me up a few pounds, and I'm not recovering.

I am doing okay. Still some tingling or not as sensitivity on the left side. And I get worn out easier, but some of that may be the cold I had. Food doesn't taste normal again but muted if that makes sense. Monitoring my blood pressure 3 times a day, follow up on that on the 22nd. Dec has become a month to heal, working at eating right but not concern about weight gain. I will come back with goals in Jan.

Hi friends, It's Saturday, Dec 17th. I've made it, along with 375 11-14 year-olds and 40 other school staff members, to Winter Break. Time to re-set my body in both rest and in exercise. I know not all of you get as much time off during this whirlwind of holidays, but I hope you're able to fnd time for healthy choices and self-care. Chloe

143lb this morning. I am really surprised I haven't gain more specially considering my steps at work have dropped. Been good with monitoring the blood pressure 3 times a day. The top number is fine, it is the bottom number that stays in the 80s. I have a doctors appointment with my primary on the 22nd, she is getting me in with a double booked and I am trying to decide if I want to use their messaging system to send her my blood pressure chart and questions on Monday and see if she still wants me to come in or just do through that system. Or if I just suck it up and go in and hope for not a long wait.
I have 2 more days until break. I don't know how much resting it will be, have it kind of booked up with good things to do. Taking a road trip with my aunt. Visiting friends. I just want my energy to hold out.

It’s really cooled down here, and it was nice to get some outdoor exercise in today! I haven’t over eaten holiday snacks so far, but I have a lot of days off coming up and a quick weekend getaway so who knows how things will go. Instead of worrying about I’m just going to enjoy the next two weeks I’m also trying to not fret about my decrease in exercise. I’m hoping that come the new year, my motivation to move will come back!

Better to acknowledge than to ignore, right?

Knee Deep in Water Chloe Good job at acknowledging. Unfortunately, my weight is moving in the wrong direction as well. First step stop the increase.

I think getting back into things is going to be hard. I know to have the energy I use to, I need to get back into better shape but I also need the energy to get into better shape. Seems like a catch 22.

Well, I HAD gotten back to my lowest weight. But, Christmas is this weekend, and in the last 24 hours we've gotten nothing but food & alcohol gifts from friends.

Weight up here, too. 'Tis the season for sure. The second sodium and carbs join me it's all downhill from there....

I just smacked my big toe into DS's chair in his room tonight, and it's really bothering me. I heard a "pop" when I smacked it too. I don't dare walk on it today, any more than I have to, so I'm just going to take it easy & hope for the best. As a tennis player, I know even if I broke it, they won't do anything about it anyway. So much for getting my steps in today. Lousy timing, as I'd hoped to get extra walking in with all the calories I've taken in for Christmas.

busymom Hope your toe feels better soon. I have been a total slug lately. I did hit 2,500,000 steps for the year. However, I will not be hitting my December goals.

I've been way off track since I had the flu at the start of the month. Surely will be starting 2023 a few pounds heavier than my 193, and I'm ok with that.
Still going to track weight, but bigger goal is to get moving.

I just started a new thread for 2023.
December has been a very lazy month.

I just went back to page one to add to my goals, and I realized I'd not posted any!
physical health --lose 20 pounds (2021's goal was to lose ten pounds, and I went the other direction.) --consistently exercise four to five days per week --track this with myfitnesspal for weight and a daily & yearly tracker for exercise --not eat to make my emotions stablize --keep my steps average/month higher that the previous month + the 2022 average higher than the 2021 average
I'll do daily-ish posts here for my own accountability. I'll do monthly reflections here for goal tracking and discussion. Welp...I was doing well for the first third of the year. Then, we sold our house, lived in our trailer for two-ish months, got COVID, moved into another house, started new jobs, etc. I did meet this portion of the goal: keep my steps average/month higher that the previous month + the 2022 average higher than the 2021 average
Weight wise, I'd actually dropped ten pounds by the end of May. Then I stopped losing. Then, since the beginning of November, I've put the ten pounds back on. I'm finishing the year right where I started.
