Up 0.2 lbs to 206.9 this week.
I'm still doing my challenge and completing the daily habits, but not with as much gusto as I had last time. Not sure what's going on, but need to get my head and my heart back into it. I have some goals I really want to hit, and this half-assed effort is not going to get me there.

Just returned from the dentist who seemed genuinely happy for me about my weight loss this year. Made me feel pretty special.

They say not to weigh yourself everyday, but I have to for my cardiologist due to CHF. As far as daily gain/loss I've come up with a theory. After a good day of exercise and watching my diet if I gain, and with a bad day of no exercise and bad eating I lose. I call it the 2 day effect. I don't get upset if things average out. I/we know when we do the right things the long term outcome will be good. It's ok to splurge once in a while. I've gone to the Y the last 3 days and lost 2#. Now I'm eating oatmeal raisin cookies with beer.

Hello! I’ve had a wretched start to the school year. (I work at middle school.) I’ve been working 60 to 70-hour weeks since mid-August, and then I got a nasty cold the second week of school. I’ve gone through two bottles of NyQuil and many, many day time cold meds. I finally started feeling better on Wednesday. So, my eating is decent because I haven’t had time or energy to eat, but I’ve not exercised at all since the first week of September. Here’s to feeling better and getting back into an exercise routine.

146 this week, so heading in the wrong direction. At the same time my eating was way off this week. I was in a baking mood and made lots of cookies to take to work and the pool hall. Lots of nerves, stress and anxiety this week for me. I am also not bouncing between the 7th grade and 8th grade like I did last year, pretty much just back in 8th grade again so not as many steps at work. Ate out a few times this past week too. I normally don't crave sweets and fried foods like I did this week. I have a check up appointment at the doctors tomorrow.
So goals this week will be to watch the food some, and work out at home. I still haven't really found the right time to do the work out at home yet and it gets sidelined.

I have got to get my water intake back up. My pee is yellow for the first time in YEARS. Anyone have any tricks. I add fresh lemon and lime. It isn't that I do not like it, I am just not getting enough in. Might make up some herbal tea now that the weather is cooling off.

Run it over ground up coffee beans I tend to drink more when I am using smaller bottles then large ones. Like finishing a 12oz bottles doesn't seem like a lot and I can refill, but finishing my 64 oz mug likes to taunt me.

daisylu, similar to what geenamercile posted, I drink 16-ounce bottles or half a large glass at a time. I keep the bottles in the fridge because I like my water cold. I also keep one by the side of the bed for middle of the night hydration. The large glass I keep on the counter next to the 5-gallon jug as a reminder to drink some as I'm buzzing around cooking supper, doing chores, or produce prepping for the week. In the past I've added sliced strawberries which was pleasant. I've also had it with sliced cucumber at fancy places or the medical center but meh. And yes, it is indeed herbal tea weather.

Just hit 60 ounces. I know I do better when I track it, but need to get back into the habit.

Back from 2 weeks at jersey shore lots of eating out and this year really not a lot of walking. New house is much further to stores so we drove. Less walking on beach due to winds
Anyway was consistently just under 150 before but was at 150.4 today Will get back to regular smaller meals also weather is good so tomorrow will start walking . Still hoping to get to 145 by year’s end

For example, when I'm at work, my goal is one water bottle prior to lunch and one after lunch.

142 this week. Better food choices, lots less salt. Next weekend we are going to the Ren Fair in MD, so that will not be a healthy weekend. Working out at home is still more of a miss, but I do go walking in the evenings. No more extra free coffee from Wawa. My blood work and test all mostly came back normal, and the ones that were off were only off by like .01 or something like that. Almost right on the line.
Goals are the same, eat healthy, work out and hopefully lose a like a pound, this will be for the next 2 weeks since I will be out of town next Sunday.

Weekly check in
Well last few weeks have not been good. Not getting in enough steps or water. Eating too much. Need to get back on track this week.
Not setting goals this week. Just trying to get back on track.

I'm with everyone who needs to start walking. I still haven't been on the treadmill since June. Ended September with a 4.4-pound loss. This is in line with the "lose a pound a week" my doctor wanted from me. I also exercised and stretched 15/30 days. That is up from August, though I'd like to increase the frequency from 1/2 to 2/3 days a month. Sleeping has been good for the most part, as has water, low carb fruit and vegetable intake, and monitoring sodium consumption. As far as stress, last week I reeled in my last volunteer position to quarterly meetings instead of monthly. Hugs everyone.

flamingo , I concur regarding the meal choice difficulties while traveling. I am recommitting to this thread this late in the game. I hope it's okay. I am doing well in other areas of life except my health. Covid found its way to our home late January, and we were down for several weeks. During that time, I realized the time to make some changes is more necessary than ever. Oh, and water. Must get in a healthy amount of daily water. Now that my lungs seem to have recovered, my stamina is returning. I'm slowly adding things back: Monday: Stretches, yoga, leg lifts Tuesday: The above, and added crunches Today: I walked out to the mailbox and around the building here at the office, and I'll do the above this evening And count me in as a Moon Cheese fan. It's no longer available in local stores, so DH has bought it a time or two online. We enjoy the gouda, cheddar, and parmesan flavors. Quoting my first post in this thread as a refresher. Glad to see I've not only stuck with it but have actually thrived with the weight loss and generally feeling better overall. Not that I'm in a rush to go there anytime soon, but it will be fun to show my doctor.

Still not making the best choices. 😥
But down to 193.4 this morning, which is better than the 228 I was at the start of the year. But I know I can do better. Going to start a new goal of 2 gym days a week. Eating better helps, but with my mostly desk job I know that I need to get moving.

Non-scale victory! Finally gave in and went pants shopping. I am indeed down a size. When I tried on the first pair, I became teary-eyed. Two pair fit, one was already too loose, and the fourth pair was way too long.

Does anyone know much about how to use the Fitbit App? I accidentally deleted one of my workout days. I’m the only one that ever sees it but I feel cheated that the day is missing. Is it possible to get it back?

I don’t know exactly what I did, but my foot started hurting a few days ago. Is it plantar fasciitis? Is it a stress fracture? Is it just badly bruised? I’m giving this week to get better and I’m taking it super easy exercise wise, then if it’s no better it’s off to the doc. I'm out of town this week for work, so uh, this is gonna be fun Fingers crossed it starts feeling better soon.

My joints/body has been achy as our temps here keep going above & below freezing. I keep moving, but some days it's more difficult to keep active. But, I try to get my steps in anyway.

I'm still around. Failed my second challenge. Should not have started it, didn't have the right mindset this time. Not doing terrible, hovering around 207 lbs. So only gained back a couple. Going to kick off a new challenge November 1st. Want to see what I can do by the end of the year, and challenge myself around the holidays. Want to enjoy myself, but not go nutty bananas.
