Back from vacation. Last week my weight creeped up a bit from eating carbs, too much salt and too many calories, but I am back to just up .6. Which leads me to: It's time to lose another 30. The first 30 came off relatively quickly earlier this year, but I've been stuck in the same "decade" for about two months. I know I will succeed.

I don’t know exactly what I did, but my foot started hurting a few days ago. Is it plantar fasciitis? Is it a stress fracture? Is it just badly bruised? I’m giving this week to get better and I’m taking it super easy exercise wise, then if it’s no better it’s off to the doc. I'm out of town this week for work, so uh, this is gonna be fun Fingers crossed it starts feeling better soon. Hope you’re feeling better!

My weight ticked up a bit. I’m not quite sure why, but I’ve kind of been watching my food consumption this last week. It’s stopped going up. Need to get it to tick back down.
October Steps/cardio is looking better than September.

My winter neighbor on seeing me said you've really lost weight. That was even before a hi. So the tracking for months worked. The challenge now will be eating wisely at a tennis socials. Loads of sweets. One or two bites, I will!

Maybe I need to try the "almond mother" eating plan. 2 almonds chewed thoroughly and that's it.

Hi Kids! We're back from vacation, and considering how many hours I was driving, I consider it a win that I only regained one pound. Yes, I plan to lose it again soon. The biggest win is, we were walking on the beach, and I was climbing up a sand dune, and DH had this big grin on his face. I didn't know what he was thinking until later in the day, when he mentioned that in the past I'd frequently take DS's arm, or DH's arm for a little assist on getting up a sand dune, and now I'm doing it all by myself. So, I AM definitely more fit since losing weight. Totally worth it!

Artemis Windsong I had to google almond mother. So many thoughts.... I'll just say growing up I knew someone like that, and someone close to me is married to one. busymom excellent news! What a great feeling. The neighborhood is having its annual trick o' treating early Sunday evening since Halloween is on a school night. Parents caravan children around on our mesa to different homes ending at our house. I plan on serving leftover snacks and sweets from last weekend's Halloween party to get food we don't usually buy out of the house and away from temptation. I've been doing too much night nibbling and the scale reflects it. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.

I just learned of "almond mothers" yesterday. How many of their poor children will develop eating disorders?

Weekly check in
Hit step and water goal.
Goals for the week
1. Average 7000 steps per day.
2. Average 45 ounces of water.
3. No eating after 9:00 PM
4. Work on getting to bed by 11:00
I need to face facts the weight gain is not just water weight. Need to reverse this trend. I consumed far too many calories on Saturday.

I found out one almond has 7.7 calories. I ate 4 to stop my hungries. I did have breakfast and will eat lunch and dinner. Tracking amount and calories. I go through times when my appetite roars and I can't get full. I haven't weighed myself but did judge I had gained since the spanx almost didn't fit. I really need a schedule for activities that is stable. That has not been the case for nearly 6 weeks. I will get it working again.
Emotions are also an issue.

Our neighborhood had trick o' treating last night since tonight is a school night. I made sure to divvy all of the candy out to the children and sent moms home with the cupcakes and leftover crescent roll "mummies" I made. The rest of the cupcakes and Reese's Pieces were sent with DH to take to the shop today. Less temptation laying around during a weak moment.

Hey all, I am pretty much just maintaining and staying even here. Which has allowed me to start putting my goals energy into other things. I have a pool lesson Wed, so excited about that. But wanted to say you all rock.

ners , Can I ask why the water goal of 46oz? It just seems like a weird # to me, as most water bottles are either 16.9 or 20 ounces - as are a lot of drinkware.

Starting challenge #3 today. Scale at 207.0 this morning, so I’ve stayed pretty stable over the last few weeks of “doing nothing”. Going to push myself during this challenge and see what I’m able to accomplish by the end of the year. Really, really looking forward to getting under 200lbs. Hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks!

Ended the month with a 3.8 gain. In my defense, I have been taking another round of prednisone and today is the last day, thank goodness. Onward and downward? I also hadn't officially exercised in a week and a half, though between packing in groceries, preparing for two Halloween festivities, and the usual chores, I did get in daily steps. Hugs everyone.

Wow! I surprised myself this morning when weighing in. I'm back at the weight I was at before we left on vacation. I'd expected it would take longer, with birthday dessert & all, but I DID walk twice as much yesterday as I normally do, so that might've been what did it.

Down to 206.4 this week. Challenge is going alright. Still not super motivated, but seeing the progress certainly helps with that!

I downloaded a new app to help with weight loss and I was thinking of you guys! I’m struggling with 15 pounds since last year. I don’t expend the same amount if calories with my new job and unfortunately I never curbed my eating. Then I had a torn plantar fascia and that had me in a boot for months. But slowly getting back to healthy.
I am giving Healthi app a go. Its like a much cheaper version of WW and so far I love it. Its only been 3 days but hey, I actually stuck to my eating target for 3 days, which never happens for me.
Starting weight 11/14: 155

mamasita99 good job downloading the ap and thank you for the reminder! I have a new phone with more storage, so I'll be able to download the fitness ap to sync with my smart watch. Last week I lost last month's gain but am back up a few pounds. Stress eating for sure. I've exercised about half the days so far this month, which isn't reaching my 2/3 goal. Been warding off the crud and taking Emergen C daily. 'Tis the season!

Everyone at work has some kind of app for tracking their food and workouts. I’m the oldest one there, so the “kids” are tracking too.

So now all my excuses are over. I've retired and moved into new home. Yesterday I did my 10k steps. It's harder in cold weather, so I did a walking video 2xs. Yay me! I plan to do it again today. I really want to lose about 8-10 lbs.

I've been maintaining, but it's been a struggle. Don't you just HATE it when the scale moves up a pound or two, then drops those same pounds again within a couple of days? Oh well, better than the scale continuing to go in the wrong direction.

Oh well, better than the scale continuing to go in the wrong direction. That’s been my life for the past 6 months. I “lost” 4.5 pounds this week. But if I weigh myself today, two days later, I’m sure a bunch of it will be “back”. Once the number consistently shows 10 pounds less than my starting weight I’ll believe I lost real weight. Otherwise the number fluctuates too much and I get upset.

so lots of new goals with recent events. Last Sunday I woke up Sunday with intense pain after spending the night at mt bf house for a bonfire. She drove me to the ER, I ended up with a 10 cm tumor on my right ovary, which they removed with the ovary and tube. however while in pain before the surgery my blood pressure jumped to 260/140 and I had 2 or 3 brain bleeds in the basal ganglia. I have a follow up on the 28th with the surgeon, and the 1st with a neurologist.
so goals are more to find baseline, sleeping, water, walking. fine motor skills on mt left side,
