I don't see Biden having strong enough coattails to get someone the party nomination let alone the presidency. I don't see why not. Again, this depends on the current term. Lots of 'Didn't choose Biden in the primary, didn't love him when i voted for him, but man he's doing a much better job so far than I though he would' going around twitter, etc. Likely a honeymoon, but what gets done, and what he attempts to do, will make the difference.

Biden is coming across as a lot more hands on than I ever remember for any President. I'm only familiar with them from Reagan on. But up til now my impression of Presidents has been speech makers, baby kissers, golfers and just say yes or no to ideas brought to them. With Biden I get the impression he is very involved.

Perhaps that 47 years of experience, of which the Repo-Cons claim he accomplished nothing, is coming to the fore at a most needed time.

I read the article earlier. I am glad they are fact checking Biden however I am not sure that those four things he got worth are worth an exclamation mark.

I think the exclamation point was for the fact Biden only had four.
Which is a refreshing change from the novel's worth Trump could generate in a single appearance.

I wonder if Obama would have been able to get a little more experience in a few areas if he would have made some different choices. He seemed pretty green. AOC is even greener. Also, she is too extreme - even for the party, much less for the country.

She needs to become more familiar with national politics, I think she’s on top of her specific corner, which is the north Eastern seaboard, but she needs to understand people from Arizona and Alaska and Alabama, too. I guess what I’m saying is she needs broader experience.

The Senate manages the budget - so maybe a stint as a senator to get some experience in that arena. I think in general the Senate has a broader set of oversight of the whole government. Also, there is no proof that she can represent all of NY state, much less all of the USA. Her district is very specific. She could be on the President's cabinet to get a deep understanding of an issue, as well as the daily administration of Presidential duties. Being a Representative for some number of years, with no other experience is a very specific view of politics. I don't know what is the appropriate amount or variety of roles to be considered 'ready'. We don't have a history of Representatives jumping straight to President. We usually pick from Senators or Governors. Not saying it is required or even the correct thing to do, just a general statement.

Speaking from personal experience, the difference in my ability as a physician at 45 was much better than at 35. Life experience and experience in general makes a big difference. I think 35 for a president is too young, unless you are really exceptional and talented

Apparently Nikki Haley has thrown Trump under the bus. Article here: linkIt's reported that she tried to talk to him. (Why?) Then he snubbed her. (Of course he would; what did she expect?) SCOOP: NIKKI HALEY reached out to former President DONALD TRUMP on Wednesday to request a sit-down at Mar-a-Lago, but a source familiar tells Playbook that he turned her down. The two haven’t spoken since the insurrection on Jan. 6, when Haley blasted Trump for inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol. The snub comes on the heels of Tim Alberta’s deep dive in POLITICO Magazine last week on Haley’s presidential ambitions and how she’s trying to have it both ways with Trump. link

Trump will never treat ANY woman with respect. Unless, he's courting her for wife #4. Then, after the wedding, it's business as usual for him.

AOC is her own green initiative at the present time. Maybe a continued comer or a political Icarus. Time will tell.

I am pretty sure when Mayor Pete was running, many of us discussed that he needed more polishing. Pete has had a LOT more life experiences than AOC since he served overseas in the military & if I remember correctly, is still in the Guard. And yes, he is super smart too. AOC has lots of brains, but not much experience out of her comfort zone in life. Let her come down here & let me drag her around this area for a week & she will start seeing some things with a different view.
