Seeing folks reporting vaccinations in random threads. Wondering if we can compile them in a more organized way. Ideal info would include
- State - Age - Type of essential worker - Comorbidities
- Other noteworthy items but try not to clutter the thread much

Vaccination registration for 1B, those over 75 yo, started in my county yesterday (Tuesday) at 5 pm and all slots were filled in 5 minutes. That took care of Friday, the only day they have enough for. Trying to get my 97 yo MIL a shot. Our medical director doesn't know until the last minute when and how many doses we will get.

I will add my name to it. Have received 2 doses of Pfizer vaccine. Do not want to give my state as it may be easy to identify me. Age 60, Hypertension and prostate cancer. No significant reaction, fatigue muscle aches and sore arm. Worst was next day.

I’m 49 and husband is 52. My state just opened up phase 1 to include people 65 and up or those 16-64 with co-morbidities. Even smoking is considered a co-morbidity so I think the push is on to get everyone vaccinated! We get our vaccinations Tuesday and I can’t wait. DH is in public all day long and I’ve been a nervous wreck
My daughter is 19 and she goes february 9. She is special needs and qualified because of that. I couldn’t schedule hers online last night and by this morning the appts were out two weeks from hours. While I’m not happy that she is two weeks out, I’m very happy that people are getting vaccinated!
I scheduled my mom, her husband, 3 aunts and 2 uncles last night. My in laws scheduled themselves. They are all over 65 and qualify due to age.

My nurse cousin in Ohio already received both shots of the vaccine. She had no reaction to the 1st shot but did to the 2nd shot. The reactions weren’t life threatening but left her feeling crappy. She the 2nd shot on Monday, started not feeling well that night and the next day, but by Wednesday she felt perfectly fine. I don’t know which vaccine it was.
In our county, those residents over 65 can get the vaccine. My mom already received her first dose. I think she goes back next week for the 2nd dose. She had no reaction to the first dose. We’ll see for the 2nd. I forget which vaccine that is too.

I’m 73, in the Southeast and my city just opened up for 1b yesterday. They don’t have enough vaccines to vaccinate these in the 1 category, never mind 1b and we don’t know how or where we can get the vaccine. I have COPD so should be able to get the vaccine when it’s available.

Husband smokes still so would qualify but around here there are no appointments but in other counties there are.

But a friend of mine booked one in Lewisburg by accident and kept it. Do you have a patient portal? You get several options to select. PM me if you have any questions. When I tell you I created patient portals and scheduled appointment appts 7 or 8 people, I’m not kidding. I could do it in my sleep!lol When I called this morning (my mom has a patient account but we couldn’t access it) the appts were out to February 9. Still not bad! Edited: I just checked her post. She is getting the shot in Lewiston, not lewisburg!

58, involved in education, also a lot of contact with the public due to Masses. Only underlining symptom is that I've had pulmonary embolisms (lung blood clots) 3 years ago. Due to education factor, would be in 1B. Will be contacted by my physician when available for me. Would be nice to get so I would be able to more freely get into nursing homes / assisted living centers (do go in for end of life situations). I'm not terribly worried about contracting the virus (maybe I am a fool) as I have been very diligent with following procedures.

Currently live in KY. Just scheduled my shot for tomorrow. I am in 1b due to job, pharma manufacturing (not vaccines). I am 57, good health but just barely in the obese BMI category.
DH is now jealous that I am getting mine. I am much more worried about him as he is 2 years older, also just in obese category, heart and kidney disease and diabetes. He also has a job where he is exposed to some members of public (not a huge number) on a daily basis. My job has me exposed to most of the same people and working from home 50% of time.

I'm in Oregon and have had my 1st shot and scheduled for my second on Feb 3rd. I got the Pfizer vaccine. Actually not sure how I qualified this early other than my employer offered it and I said Heck Yeah.

California; age 69; just retired; typical comorbidities of my age (high blood pressure, high cholesterol), DVT in the distant past. Had my first Moderna vaccine last Friday. It was the same batch used at a clinic in San Diego that had an abnormal number of adverse reactions so that batch has been pulled, greatly reducing the supply out here. The only reaction I got the next day was a sore arm, and a backache that may have been from standing in line at the vaccine distribution site for 1.5 hours.
I'm also worried about whether there will be enough around the time I need to go for my second dose.

So, It seems in Pennsylvania if you are a part of the Geisinger Network, then you can access vaccinations. If you are not, then doctors offices do not know when they will have any and recommend trying to get one of the few slots that rite aid pharmacies might have, which go in minutes each day apparently. Sigh. Such a fair, uniform, efficient delivery system.

My 74 yo aunt in rural IL got her first shot yesterday because her doctor happens to have privileges at the local hospital. Friends of her called to try to get appts but couldn't because their doctors didn't have privileges.
Seems to mirror what you're seeing oped.

Outside of Covid testing, my mom and her husband had never been to a geisinger doctor. I had set them up in the portal in November when they got the Covid test and was able to schedule appts for them I’m not sure why you are unable to get scheduled. Reach out to me if you need any help. I’ve set up 8 people so far and would be happy to help you

My state recently opened up to over 65 and 16-64 with commorbidities. Similar to Tequila@misstequila, I spent Tuesday evening signing up various elder relatives for their first vaccine appointment via a portal for Wellspan, or signing them up for the portal and signing them up for their appointment. Signing them up was slightly painful - if you don't have an activation code, you have to answer these random questions a computer generates from your electronic history (i.e., were you ever associated with any of these addresses with 5 choices plus a no, or associated with one of these phone numbers, etc.) I also let people I know who fit the categories that the site was open - they didn't announce that it was available until the Wed afternoon, so it was a lot easier on Tuesday. I was able to help all of them but my 93 yr old grandmother - she apparently doesn't have enough electronic information out there for the computer ID to work so my mom had to use the actual phone!
I have an appointment to be vaccinated in a few weeks. I am an essential worker in the pharma industry (although I can work from home part time)and I fall into the BMI categories (even though I work out 4 to 5 times a week now since I can work from home quite a bit most of the time!). I also help my parents and grandmother out quite a bit, so while I kind of feel bad signing up in place of over 65 folks, I also need to be around some of them a lot. And, unfortunately, I'm actually much more careful than they are. My mom wears a mask, but she still picks up my cousin's kid from daycare a couple of days a week, and other activities I think she should refrain from since she mostly has her mother (my grandmother)with her. And GM is very frail, and doesn't wear a mask a lot because she can't really remember why she has it on....
I'll update once I get it with any reactions, but I know that the doctors from NYU who broadcast on Sirius almost all mentioned that they had a sore arm from the first one, and that they had a stronger reaction to the second one. At least then you know your immune system is doing something.

Had my first shot of Moderna 10 days ago. My job is related to healthcare. No side effects except a sore arm.
Everyone I work with has now had at least their first dose.
My dad had his on Wednesday.
I love hearing that people are getting vaccinated.
ETA: My best friend with rheumatoid arthritis just texted that she got an appointment for today. Yay!!

Talked to my 92 year old dad today What an adventure as he is hard of hearing and trying to talk to him on the phone is an difficult. He was trying to get an appointment at a local pharmacy. Reached out to my brother who has access to his patient portal. He scheduled my dad for tomorrow. (not the most convenient location but my brother will transport my dad too and from the appointment.). From brother's email the place he wanted was booked up. My brother is a rockstar in my mind.

State: ca Age: 41 Healthcare worker (outpatient services at a hospital) Other med issues: migraines and anemia
Got second dose of moderna this week
Had really sore arm & lots of fatigue. Ended up taking the afternoon off today because I seem to have triggered a migraine (not the vac itself). Essentially, the sore arm made it impossible to sleep the night I got it, was so exhausted the next day, I went right to bed without eating. The low blood sugar and sleep issues triggered the migraine.
Of note, the second dose side effects hit most of my coworkers. Lots of fatigue, sore arms, and headaches reported.

They’re opening up preregistration in my area tomorrow (VA). We’ll see if I can register though. I have more than one comorbidities so I should get the shot. If I can’t get it then I’ll continue being cautious using Instacart for groceries, etc.

My parents both got vaccinated. 75+, comorbidities, TX. My sister is on the list as she is their primary care giver. I haven't tried to get on a list yet, but I should as I take care of them about once a week now. I didn't take care of them when I had tested positive (September) until this month.

My daughter got vaccinated last week. She is a Walmart pharmacist.
Alabama is last in the nation in getting people vaccinated. And they are vaccinating "snowbirds" ahead of state residents in the sense that most of them are over 75. Florida's governor has said they won't do that. I understand that they are here and need vaccinations, but they are also talking about cutting our supply of the vaccine since it isn't being used.
Use it on me! Please.

Our county medical director just said that at the rate of doses we've gotten it will be another 90 days before the over 75 group who have registered will get vaccinated. That's unacceptable. Tomorrow the 65 and older are supposed to start. I want to hear what Governor Hogan has to say about how many doses Maryland is getting and how they are being distributed.
