Tacos really aren't that many calories, at least they don't have to be. Crunchy, not soft tacos. Easy on the cheese and sour cream.
Ive been working in the office the last 2 days. I seem to be eating less. I'm definitely drinking less. (Also posting less.) Im getting more steps because the parking lot, restroom and lunchroom are all spread out.. I'll try to weigh myself in the morning to see if it's getting me anywhere.
Eta: I arriving home from work, and my dh was coming out to rake leaves at the same time. He mentions our next door neighbor is throwing out their treadmill. After some arguing back and forth about spade in the house, he went over and talked to her. She told him the belt slips. He told me, and after a little more back and forth, I said that my dad could've fixed it. Well, my dad's been dead for 11 years, but my DH ended up grabbing the treadmill and sticking it in our garage. He told me to channel my dad. I wasn't expecting my DH to get it. He fights me about this sort of stuff all the time. (It's not fighting at all, but really debating. He fights me like a baby fights sleep, if you KWIM.) So, I might and I might not have a treadmill to add to my arsenal this winter.

I went to the Y too but I spent my time in the pool. Half an hour of laps, not pushing myself but steadily going back and forth. It was awesome.

I'm doing my happy dance this morning, as my scale has been teetering, right on the edge, of losing 28 pounds, and finally today it's official. Maybe I WILL hit -30 by Christmas. Even if the change is painfully slow, I will take it!

I googled it, and there is all sorts of information available about adjusting/repairing belts on treadmills. We'll see. We can always toss it out just like the neighbor was going to do.

Wednesday turned into an eating debacle when one of the school staff brought cake into the main office at 8:30am.
Did okay on Thursday with the exception of an egg roll at our lunch stop. It was a traveling day and then out to dinner. I chose seafood with no sauce; that's a much better choice than the pasta with sauce I normally choose. Plus, no dessert!
Today is Friday. It's 10:45am, and food consumption has been fine mostly because I've been completely by myself. Out to dinner tonight and tomorrow night.

laterbloomer, do you like (and use) your Y membership? We have a fairly new one where I live and was thinking of checking it out. Would lean towards the family plan if DH was interested, or just me + the kids if he's not. I'd love to have access to a pool, and would likely use the classes, cardio, and weight equipment (based on previous membership at a gym).

I just kicked it in, I've gone twice this week and am trying to figure out how often I can fit it in my schedule 😁 Right now you can only go here if you are double vaccinated so it's not crowded at all. One of the silver linings of lock downs. I'm not sure how I will feel when it gets crowded again.

I like that they offer scholarship memberships based on income. I wish it were 24 hour but understand why it's not.

Wow! The scale is actually STILL moving, and this morning I'm at -29. I'm so used to stops & starts with my scale. My goal is within reach, then I'll have to figure out what new goals to set for the New Year.

Nothing moving for me. I've been able to do 5,000 steps a couple times this week and have made sure my calories are low. Weight is staying steady so that's what I'll be thankful for. Hopefully, it starts to go down soon.

So much for the free treadmill. DH plugged it in to check out the problem with the slipping belt, nudged the power cord with his boot, and it sparked and flipped our breaker. Off to the garbage it goes. We're not equipped to fix that kind of shot.
(Dammit, though. I'd read a story about a woman losing a massive amount of weight by basically walking on a treadmill while she was working on her computer. )

Made it to the park yesterday and today. Calorie expenditures offset by Costco adult eggnog consumption.

Weekly check in.
Outside of hitting modest step goal all other goals could use improvement.
Goals for the week
1. Get to desk on time. 2. 45000 steps 3. No snoozing of alarm (this starts tomorrow) 4. Drink at least 16 ounces of water or tea. 5. No eating after 9:00
I did not make best food choices last week and scale reflected.
Have a great week everyone.

FINALLY I went down one more pound! 56 lbs lost since Jan 1. I get my 4 kms with the dogs in each day and most days I've done my 5 min arm workout. I went to the Y 3 times last week. I am going to try to go on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Well, I didn't hit my mini goal. Not even close. Down 0.2, not the 3.0 I wanted. Not a surprise either, I didn't make the best choices over the weekend and thought I could make up for it yesterday. Not the best strategy. I'm going to schedule the mortgage payment without any extra to principal. DH and I are going to tour the Y and see if its something he would use. I have a few questions and if all works out, I think I'll sign up. At least give it a shot. Have a great day/week everyone!

Well, the scale is tormenting me this morning. Soooooooo close. I'm 2/10 of a pound away from losing 30 pounds. I'm going to keep at it, until I hit goal.

Good Thursday - Sunday long weekend regarding food choices. I've not lost any weight, but I'm definitely being cognizant. Today for dinner, we had pizza. However, it was with cauliflower crust and fake cheese. It actually tasted good.

Today I slept thru the first alarm.

I set my alarm for the latest that I'm comfortable getting up. No snooze here.
Made it to the park today and tackled the three mile loop. Looks like the external motivation is holding steady.

First of all, want to thank this group already for the accountability. Even though I didn't hit my mini-goal, if it wasn't for you peeps, I would've gone ahead and thrown some extra at the mortgage, telling myself "well I tried". So thanks! Secondly, I toured the Y on my own today. For sure going to sign up. DH is wishy washy, but what else is new. Not sure a gym is his sort of thing anyway. But I want/need something to help kick start this. I figure either eating better will make things click and exercise will really kick it into gear, or exercise will click and lead to better food choices and weight loss will be off to the races. I also have a little side bet weight-loss competition going with my bestie. Motivation abounds!

Yesterday and one day last week, I exceeded 10,000 steps. Haven't done that since May. I'm thinking it was the weather plus my foot injury in September.
In any case, I hope to achieve this more often on my days off. Not so much on the days that I work though. On those days, I'll be happy with 5000-6000 steps.

Dance party at my place tonight! I FINALLY hit the 30 pounds gone mark. Not sure how many more pounds I'll be able to lose, but I'm just going to enjoy hitting this benchmark today.

Hi Everyone! Haven't been on this thread in awhile. I started this med that made me gain a few (10) pounds. Everything I tried failed. I was going to tell my doctor to take me off of it, but tried one last ditch effort. I started iTrackbites 12 days ago, and as of this morning, I lost 5 lbs!! I pray this continues. I'd like to lose 5 more.
