lynnerself, thank you for posting the picture! It is similar to the design I'm implementing on our upper deck I mentioned in a different thread.

that looks so relaxing, a great break! after making a few calls this morning, and running around a little over lunch today, I just cracked open a bottle of prosecco to celebrate that I have an ACCEPTED OFFER for the house I looked at and just LOVED yesterday. WOO!!! Congratulations! Link please

Is this in the same town your last house was? Or is it closer to your work?

WOO!!! I’m late to the party but congrats! My grandma had a tiny place in Provincetown when I was a kid. Grandpa was a chef there in the summers and he would work in Florida off season. They had to sell but man I wish they still had that place...

Having two friends over for backyard dinner and drinks. I made a batch of aviations (six servings). Guesses on them being too ginny? I'm no recipe expanding expert, lol. 🤪😈

I biked, worked in the yard, and swam laps today. So now I'm enjoying my 2nd Aperol Spritz out on the deck. It's a bit hot (85) but not bad in the shade. I've decided I like them with a little extra Prosecco. FYI This is my favorite Youtube channel on making drinks. I just love this guys style and personality.

Started my upper deck rehab! LEDs strung up, deck swept, chairs moved, the one table that arrived today unpacked and set up. Waiting for the second table and rug to be delivered before I unpack the artificial plants and set out accessories. Celebrating with my second vodka, club soda, orange cream.

Tonight I tried something a little different, a New York Whiskey sour. It's a regular whiskey sour, but with a float of dry red wine. Sounds weird, but was actually pretty good.

Started the day with Mimosas and ended with Chocolate Martinis. In between there was a whiskey sour and a glass of wine. Luckily (or not) not all days are like this.

lynnerself, chocolate martinis are one of my (rare) favorites. Welp, yesterday I made these, Red Berry Frozen Sangria recipe, and was going to enjoy them out on the deck to take in my project thus far. I looked at the outside temp first. 97 Fahrenheit. Nope. Stayed inside and they were delightful. I used bourbon instead of brandy, and omitted the added sugar.

that sounds pretty tasty, Iggy. definitely saved that recipe. I saved one a friend posted to FB last night, too. I'd just the pic, but her name is in the pic. I'll just rewrite it here. Watermelon & Cucumber Mojito This makes a whole pitcher. (note: this recipe says 6-8 servings, but in reality probably only 3-4. Just enough for you and a friend. ) Ingredients: 1 seedless watermelon, pureed 1/2 English cucumber, pureed 2 limes, juiced 1/2 c mint, chopped 8oz chilled vodka 1 large bottle sparkling water Instructions: Using a blender or juicer, puree watermelon and cucumber together. Strain using a fine mesh sieve if using a blender, to remove pulp and set juice aside. (Preferably in fridge to chill). Juice limes, then muddle with mint using a wooden spoon or a muddler, if you have one. Put the mixture in a shaker with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a large pitcher. Add juice to pitcher, then vodka, and bottle of sparkling water. stir and serve over ice.

I just cracked open a seltzer and added a little chilled vodka. my latest boozy care package had a new-to-me brand, and I love it so far. I had a peach one yesterday, today I opened a raspberry lemon. no added sugar or fake sweeteners. I'm going to drop off the three mango ones with a local friend here, that's one flavor I'll never like. the three lime ones are still in the case, I'll get there eventually. nude hard seltzers

I made lemon drops with blue curacao instead of triple sec. They are an electric blue/green color. I need a name for this drink.

that sounds fun, lynn. wish I had a name to offer up, but I'm stumped. I poured the last of a bottle of chianti earlier after an errands run, and opened a new bottle of the same label but different year (that I've actually had before, too). woof, these two are NOT compatible to move between. this second one tastes like a merlot, which I definitely don't like.

Just opened a Leinenkugel Orange Shandy. Have you tried this? Schofferhofer Hefeweizen Grapefruit Super light and tasty for summer. But only 2.5% alcohol

I'm continuing my exploration of classic cocktails. Last week a gimlet. Meh, I didn't like gin and lime unless tonic is involved
This week a classic (not fruity) daiquiri. Rum, lime simple syrup. This is nice . I used a high end Nicaraguan aged 7 year golden rum. Next week I'm on to Manhattan. I may work my way up to martinis, but not expecting to like that much.

lynnerself No I have not. Do not think I have ever seen that in the store. I've found it at places that sell hundreds of kinds of beer. Also a tap house around here has it on tap in the summer.
