Impressive. welts, you don’t understand the rules If you are a Dem, then lying under oath about a consensual affair will get you impeached If you are a Republican, lying under oath about sexual assault gets you a seat for life on the highest court of the land Got it? Celebrating the fact that man can still be INNOCENT in the face of totality unproven political motivated accusations! No matter how loud they scream,, does not make it true!! Absolutely!! There was absolutely NOTHING to tie him to her claims. Even people she said were there denied it. Other than the fact that she has a va jay jay and apparently va jay jays don’t lie, no idea how anyone can find him guilty of this I was speaking to a couple of local, democratic judges recently at BFs country club. One absolutely hates trump and even he said if this case came before him he would have tossed it out. Zero evidence. 1) There were only three people in the room. Only three people have a chance of talking credibly about it. His friend Judge preferred not to talk and frankly both of them could have been so drunk they remember nothing.
2) This was a job interview, not a case, so the innocent to proven guilty has little meaning here. So far some people, no proof but hearsay is enough to make some leery, and others want proof. And it often depends what the issue is. I personally believe it wouldn't have mattered to those who voted yes, if he had attempted to rape her. I think the zie-whatever her name was claims were so over the top, that people assumed she was lying and therefore his only problem was excessive drinking then.
3) I felt he did not handle himself well, and having lied under oath should not have been approved. Whether he did or did not attempt raping Ford became incidental to me once he spoke at the hearing.

Women cheering this are too stupid to understand the ramifications or too dumb to care. I don't think that's entirely true. Some women are very pro-life so for them everything else is less important. A subset of those approve of people killing abortion doctors & nurses, so I expect they are fine with women bleeding to death trying to abort.
There are a subset who are happy now, who will be unhappy later with him, but I think they are the minority of Kav supporters.

I paid my airfare in 2016 to go to DC 5o demonstrate. The flight attendants thanked us for going. I slept on an airbed in a relative’s home. I talked to women who had ridden charter buses all night to be there. The metro workets stood outside and said “ thank you for coming” I’ve since participated in 3 other demonstrations ( with more to come, no doubt)... Nobody is paying those demonstrators - but that doesn’t stop the liars from spreading tne lies. They hate what democracy looks like. |

It's really not about people who don't believe the way they do. That is far too simplistic. I would bet that most reserve their "hate" for those who trash our country's ideals and seek to destroy our democratic institutions. Such as an impartial judiciary, to name just one.

I'm sick of the RW circus side shows, the lies, and daily Trump. What of it? The RW excels at creating paid organizations to further their interests that are named to mislead. One, I think called the Independent Women's Council, even had an op-ed on 'The Hill' concerning Kavanaugh. Its an organization designed to get rid of women's programs. It has a small amount of female staffers. The President and the former one worked at other Koch organizations. The top two donors are men. The top donor donated significantly more than #2 and #3 combined. |

I don't like that, but I am not in charge of this woman's actions nor Kavanaugh's performance. Just because she's described as a fulltime activist does not mean she was paid by anyone for this particular bit. It doesn't even necessarily mean she makes money doing that either. Again, the article is already incorrect about there being paid demonstrators, so who knows what else is incorrect in the article, designed to inflame conservative passions?
Here's a bit of truth - the propaganda arm of the right is far better funded and organized than anything on the opposite pole. Do you even regularly watch Vice news? I don't. Apparently it is some small cable part of NPR.

Demonstrations are evidence that democracy is still alive. You don’t see them in totalitarian governments.

I'm sure Soros gives to organizations, but probably not the way the Koch Brothers have created their giant shell organization scheme. There are many donors to the RW online shrieking and complaining scheme. It would be interesting to know how many and who they are all funded by.
Waters? She's only a big deal to some of you because she was stupidly dissed, and now somehow that means to *you* she's a bigger deal than she is.

The Kavanagh confirmation is the final proof that the GOP party is dead. There are no longer any moderate republicans, there are no 'republicans' at all any more - no more fiscally responsible, limited government GOPers.
Instead, we have the Trumpette party, who gloats in having a whiny, petulant partisan SCOTUS candidate who cries during his Senate hearing about the Dem funded Deep State making him a victim.
Kavanagh has demeaned the SCOTUS, and has pulled that dignified assembly into gutter partisan politics, and no matter how long he serves on the court, he will always be the tainted judge.

You should be careful or you might get what you wish for. If the Blue states emptied out, leaving only the Trumpettes left to populate the country, it would begin to look like my neck of the woods - the South - solid red states that sop up more than their share of the federal benefits (at the expense of the tax payers in Blue states).

If all the Blue state voters abandon the country, you'll be left with the 1%, who have ways to avoid paying taxes (look at how good the Trump family is at avoiding paying taxes) and the red state voters who are used to spending more federal dollars than they pay in.
