Not exactly a Floriduh, but still pretty funny -- he is a friend of my dentist: TEQUESTA, Fla. — What did you want to be when you were a child? Were you able to make that dream come true? One Tequesta man is proof that you can juggle two very different dreams at once. By day, Dr. Jimmy McDowell runs his dental office on Tequesta Drive. But by night, he runs circles around his opponents in the wrestling ring. “I fix teeth by day and knock ‘em out at night,” he joked. The 58-year-old has juggled this double life for years and is proving that you can do anything your heart desires. “You can have your dreams fulfilled at any age,” he said. His double passions started when he was a young child growing up in Arkansas. “When I was 6 years old, everyone knew I wanted to be a dentist,” he said. But that’s the same time wrestling caught his attention, with his family taking him to local matches. "My grandparents were from a town of 300 people called Havana, Arkansas. At 11 o’ clock every Saturday morning they would come in off the farm and watch wrestling. It was in my blood.” He trained in wrestling through college but chose the path to dental school. It wasn’t until he opened his dentist practice in Florida - one of the hottest markets for wresting - that he realized couldn't resist... "My patients were wrestlers and talked me into doing it,” he said. After years in the ring and earning his nickname, he recently won his highest honor: A heavyweight champion belt from the Allied Independent Wrestling Federations. Now, he’s getting challenges from across the country and world. "I've been asked to go to Australia, Japan, Toronto, and London,” he said. “I’m still 5 days a week in the dental office, I do travel dentistry also." That's why you'll find his wrestling gear in the office, in case he's called up for a match. I can picture this....he goes from wrestling a stubborn molar to knocking out an opponent's teeth, then offering the dude a discount to fix the damage.
Taking care of business. Wow.

FL couple has sex in the back of patrol car after being arrested for DUICouple was riding a bike, when stopped by police. (pick up the story here...) Field sobriety tests followed and were allegedly failed, so the policeman put Mondanaro and Thomas in the back of his patrol car.
The deputy details that he was still outside of his vehicle when Mondanaro and Thomas allegedly disrobed and started having sexual intercourse.
The deputy said he opened the door to tell them to stop and noticed Thomas was completely naked and Mondanaro’s pants were down and her breasts exposed.
The report claims that Thomas was removed from the vehicle, and pushed another deputy to the ground before fleeing, sparking a brief foot chase.
Both remain in custody. SHOCKER! people.com/crime/fla-couple-allegedly-had-sex-in-police-car-after-dui-arrests/

nypost.com/2019/10/08/woman-busted-wearing-a-bow-shaped-bag-of-meth-in-her-hair/A woman in Arkansas was arrested when a cop who pulled her over for driving with an expired registration realized a bow in her hair was actually a bag of meth, according to a report. “Are you serious? … You have a bow in your hair made from a bag of meth,” police officer Kenneth Looney told 38-year-old Jessica Bernice Kropp following the Sept. 24 traffic stop in the town of Flippin, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Baxter Bulletin. “I didn’t know that was there, someone else put that there and I didn’t know what it was,”
Kropp, who didn’t immediately stop when pursued by Looney, was driving a borrowed Dodge Neon with a suspended license and without insurance, the report said. At the time, she also had five outstanding warrants out for her arrest. They don't catch the smart ones.

I still remember the appeal for reinstatement of a terminated employee who tested positive for cocaine use. The employee swore she didn't do cocaine. She stated maybe her boyfriend did right before she gave him oral sex right to the 'bitter end' and she swallowed 'it'. Termination upheld and we shook our heads once she left the meeting room.

While watching Live PD over the weekend... A guy and a girl get pulled over. The cops are sure they are on drugs and search them. Finding nothing, they talk to the girl, who finally admits she put some in her butt, when she saw they were being pulled over. The officer tells her to get it out, cuz he isn't going to. After several failed attempts to locate the drugs, police call for EMT's to come and assist. The girl goes into the ambulance for privacy and assistance. It is decided that the drugs have melted and been absorbed into her system. Because there was no evidence, the couple was allowed to leave and no charges were filed! Bwahahaha

Poor Olaf . Florida man sexually assaults two stuffed animals inside a Target store
A Florida man admitted to doing “stupid stuff” after sexually assaulting two stuffed animals in a Target store. The suspect, Cody Meader, started his bizarre sex romp with a stuffed animal from Disney’s “Frozen,” then moved onto a stuffed unicorn around 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to Pinellas County, Fla. “(Meader) proceeded to select a large Olaf stuffed animal and began to ‘dry hump’ and then ejaculated onto the item before placing it back on the shelf,” according to police. He reportedly selected Olaf from an assortment of “Frozen” characters before throwing it on the floor and doing the deed. The 20-year-old suspect then “selected a large unicorn” as his second partner of the afternoon and allegedly “dry humped” it, too. I say this given the total lack of detail given in most online news. Stories with headlines - 5,000 killed in NoLand last night might have a two line repeat of the headline and zero details.

There was likely recorded security-camera evidence of Cody's activities. If the reporter was given access to the recorded evidence, then it is not surprising that there was significant detail. One should always expect to be under observation, particularly in retail settings. Does it seem to anyone else that people who have in a central role in activities that turn out to have been a bad idea are often named Cody? (Apologies to the non-crazy Codys of the world).

FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- One person is in custody after carjacking a vehicle and fleeing from police in Fort Pierce on Saturday. Officers responded to the 2500 block of South U.S. Highway 1 at approximately 11:26 a.m. in reference to a theft. When officers encountered the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Michael John Ginger of Stuart, he fled on foot, then quickly carjacked an occupied vehicle and pointed a gun at an officer. One of the responding officers discharged his weapon in an effort to stop the suspect, but his shot did not strike anyone. According to police, Ginger drove the vehicle south on U.S. Highway 1 where it spun out of control and collided with a police cruiser on the 3200 block... It's the suspect's picture that gets me. I suspect he was blinded by the light of his own teeth when he looked at them in the rearview mirror. Honestly, where id this guy think he was fleeing to, looking like this? A blind person could probably pick this out of a lineup:

Okay, not Florida but... Police in UT were called to do a wellness check on a 75 yr old woman living in a retirement community. When they got there, they found the woman on her bed, deceased. Upon checking her residence for clues about her death, they found a man in her freezer! The man is estimated to have been dead for between 1-11 years! www.newsweek.com/utah-tooele-police-find-man-body-freezer-deceased-elderly-woman-welfare-check-1474088The man has since been identified as the woman's husband. Save that space! Freezers really do work!

The really big news story of the day involves a really big pile of sand: WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The West Palm Beach Police Department said the city's holiday sand tree, known as "Sandi", was vandalized early Thursday morning, causing costly damage.
Sgt. David Lefont released photos of people climbing "Sandi" around 3:22 a.m.
Lefont said the damage exceeds more than $1,000, so the crime is a felony.
Surveillance video released by police shows one person climbing on the side of the 35-foot tree and sliding down it. OK, here's the deal: there's no fence around this humongous sand trap of a tree. Keep Off signs, yes. But the surrounding streets are packed with restaurants and bars, and the Lake Worth Lagoon is a few yards across the street. Like no one is going to get drunk, stumble onto the street at 2 a.m., see this tree and NOT think it's a fab idea to play in the sand, because hey, there's water over there so this must be the beach? I mean, look at it. It looks like Jabba the Hutt.
I'm shocked that no one's decided to use it as a cat litter box yet.

Agreed. Esp if you're not from the area, so don't know the history... and you are drunk. From what I could tell, no sculpting had been started (other than the basic tree, of course), which might add to the confusion as to what the pile of sand is for. A felony? That's going to suck, when they get caught! So much for a fun night out! As for using as a litter box, my guess is that it has happened more than once!

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Port St. Lucie police have arrested a suspect they say burglarized a Popeye's Chicken restaurant back in September.
On Sept. 2, at approximately 11:25 a.m., the suspect, 27-year-old Rodney King Frazier of Port St. Lucie, entered the Popeye's Chicken restaurant located at 190 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd., approached the cash register, placed a chair under the surveillance camera and sprayed the camera lens. He stole cash, multiple cases of chicken, bags of chicken and a tray of chicken.
Police say there were no signs of a forced entry.
According to a news release, Frazier was identified on November 27 and wanted on several charges.
On Dec. 12, Frazier was arrested and charged with burglary of a structure during state of emergency, grand theft, preventing obstructing extinguishment of fire and criminal mischief.
Dude, what part of you were caught on camera when you pushed the chair under the camera did you not understand? And what the cluck did you plan to do with that much chicken?

Maybe the guy wanted to make 'copy cat'versions of Popeye's famous chicken sandwiches and charge double for them?
That's all I got.

I'm thinking he wanted to have a bbq of sorts. Or thought he could freeze it and eat it for the next year?
I once used toothpaste on a piece of paper to cover a security camera. LOL But there was no question about who did it, nor did I care. It was an act of defiance on my part. When I was told I couldn't have it there, I said in my most innocent voice, "Oh. I can't?", as if I didn't know. Haha
I gotta say, this guy didn't think his situation out real well. Maybe he thought he wouldn't be guilty, if he couldn't be seen actually taking the stuff?
That's all I've got.
Certainl, no one would wonder where he got all that chicken that tastes like Popey"s. Or turned him in for it. Nah...

Several weeks ago while my groceries were being scanned by the cashier, on the next lane to me (which was closed) a store manager was scanning some very expensive meats. Apparently, the store suspected two people might be shoplifting and they were putting the most expensive meats in their cart including what appeared to be a 20 pound slab of beef which could be cut up into rib eye steaks. There were also slabs upon slabs of pork ribs, cut up chicken, and the ever popular pounds upon pounds of crab claws. Apparently, the two would be thieves figured out they were being followed by store security and managers and they abandoned the cart in the store. By the time I was checked out and my groceries bagged, the manager was still scanning the meats and she told me at that point the cost of potential stolen meats was over $550 and more stuff still needed to be scanned.

I knew a couple years ago, who while buying their regular groceries, would switch the prices on their meat, paying $5 for $25 of steaks, crab, etc. I was under the impression they had been doing it for some time, which added to their confidence about doing it. I heard a few years later, they'd been caught. But they weren't friends of mine, so I don't know what happened, or anything else. Blows me away.

Nancy, are chickens really an issue in Florida? Feral chickens?!? According to an episode of Dirty Jobs some years ago, feral chickens (and feral roosters, in particular) are terrorizing neighborhoods in, I think, Miami.

Can they prosecute, if the items weren't actually taken? I heard a few years later, they'd been caught. But they weren't friends of mine, so I don't know what happened, or anything else. Blows me away. Store could not prosecute because the thieves abandoned the full cart in the store. The store manager said she would have been more than glad if they walked out of the store with all the food. She would loved to have had them arrested. But the other manager talked her out of it. I just hope all the meat was put back in the refrigerated shelves. I hate to see food thrown away, especially meat.
