I have no idea who that is directed towards since you didn't quote anyone. But if it is directed at me, I am not sure how trump reminds me of me. We sure as hell didn't share the same life experiences (DJ's point, not mine). i really think what i said was absolutely clear. if you are well informed, you vote based on information. the less information you have, the less you have to vote for. the voter who has almost no information votes on appearances. in that situation, a voter will TEND (not an absolute) to vote for the candidate with which they have the most in common. i posit that this is actually rational. we are kind of herd animals at a certain level. I wasn't sure who she was responding to. Might have been either of us.
I guess I'm the voter that just won't vote if I have zero information on any of the candidates. But I do understand what you are saying now. The more educated that you are the less likely you are to vote for someone like you versus the better candidate (which might be the same or might not).

yes. but in addition, if you REALLY IDENTIFY with a candidate PERSONALLY, the policy issues CAN go away, to a degree. for example, i LIKE Obama, PERSONALLY. he is well spoken, he is neat and tidy in appearance, he has a nice, orderly sort of family life....all things i respect. i differ with him a LOT on policy- but if i were just going on personality, i would vote for him in a heartbeat. so there are kind of three levels to a candidate, i think: general appearance, personality, and policy, in that order. some people (some would argue MOST) never make it to #3. i ALWAYS make it there. in fact, i usually START there, and work backwards.

I don't have to like my leader, I just need to believe he has the views to get our country to where it needs to be.
I believe Bernie Sanders to be the most ethical of the three of them but I would never have voted for him because he is batshit crazy with his views

i would have liked your post, but i disagree that Sander's views are "crazy". i think they are actually pretty mainstream....IN EUROPE. i would agree that his views are seldom heard anymore, but when he was a young man, back in the Mesozoic Era, they were fairly mainstream here, as well.

Not sure if " batshit crazy" but would say his views too extreme..would not get passed in todays climate..down the road? Maybe and most probably but I live in the "today" so in this case it was a easy choice..Hillery..didn't work out that way but between the two left, I don't vote or want sleeze as my POTUS...[ sorry to say..sleeze I got[sigh]]

(I know many that voted for her for that very same reason {ETA: and I'm referring to the "General Election", NOT the primaries})
Same questions for you that Ms. T didn't answer. Who are these people? As you personally know so many how about some examples? Demos that would not have voted except for the vagina? Repos that crossed over and voted for Hillary because she was a woman? Those that normally don't vote but did this time because it was a woman? You want specifics? Several relatives and numerous friends. Any more specific than that would be pointless as you don't know them anyway. And yes, I know that they voted for Hillary "because, vagina" because they ADMITTED it saying "I voted for Hillary because we need a female president!" or other similar verbiage.

The reason that Trump won is easy!
Voters hated Trump less than they hated Hillary!
Why is that so hard to figure out?

That's your opinion of course. True. It's also the right opinion, in my opinion. I'm not saying everyone should be required to strip down or anything. Far from it. I just think we don't need to lose our minds if someone sees a boob or a penis or a vagina. Janet Jackson's nipple was BARELY visible for about half of a second, during a Super Bowl Halftime show... and the US lost it's collective MIND. "Ohhh the poor children!!!" That's what I'm talking about when I say we need to become less uptight about nudity. It was a nipple, no big deal, move on.

Rarely is there a naked person in public worth looking at and Europe is no exception.

Half time during super bowl is too late for children to be up anyway. It wasn't about the "children " at all. I remember the hoopla.

Rarely is there a naked person in public worth looking at and Europe is no exception. Therein lies the problem. It's not about looking at them and considering are they worthy of being looked it. It's about seeing them "as a person, the same as you would if they were clothed... and not caring that they are naked".

Yes, well I'm not a fan of looking at ugly. I tend to ignore what is. You want to run around naked? Plenty of places it's okay to do so. Have at it.

The Super Bowl started at 6:25PM in Houston. (Central Time) The Half Time show was probably about 1.75 to 2 hours in... making it likely between 9:00 to 9:30. 9:00 to 9:30 isn't exactly what most people would call "late"... especially on an "event night". ETA: but that's probably enough hijack on this from me... so... back to "why Hillary lost"

We are talking children. I think I was clear. If not, I apologize. My kids were in bed 8-8:30 pm. Always until middle school then it was between 9:30-10 because that school started at 9:30. HS started at 7:05 am so they went back to going to bed early again.

If it helps, I don't think people "hate Hillary" so much as a person, but as a choice. Personally I don't hate her. I just know that she's an abysmally bad choice for President... for numerous reasons.

Looks like both you and Ms. T petered out before answering the key questions. Oh well. Looks like your comprehension is lacking then. I answered the question you asked, as fully as needed for an internet chat board. If you'd like to have Congress subpoena me and put me under oath (if you have the authority/power) however, I will happily answer them once they prove the necessity of my answer when I ask them "Why do you need to know?" Do you have any relevant questions for me now... or are you going to continue to try and insult my intelligence and integrity?
