I loved that they opened scene in Mereen and Dany ~ she really can be a decisive, can't she? And she really was giving Tyrion a "what have you done with my City?" look as he was trying to put a positive spin on things. And the settlement negotiations with the Masters was just delightful ... as was Grey Worm's handling of 2 of the 3 rulers. SLICE! Nice!

Rather than complain to Jon after the strategy meeting is over that he shouldn't neglect to ask her for advice, why didn't Sansa speak up sooner? Seems like they are building toward some sort of show down along the lines of Who should be in charge?

As to the Battle .... it was certainly bloody and realistic, but a bit painful to watch. I wasn't surprised Ramsay killed Rickon, but I was a bit bummed that the Giant died.

Can I say that I'm glad Ramsay is dead and think having him repeatedly punched in the face and eaten by his dogs was ... gratifying?

I am rather glad that Brienne wasn't there for the battle,

It will be interesting to see what happens between Davos and Melisandre now that he knows (or at least suspects) what happened with Shireen.

So .... is Bran still hanging out with Benjen and Meera in the snow?

Is Samwell Tarley studying at The Citadel or coming back?

Wonder where Varys is?

Wonder where Arya is?

Wonder where the Hound is?

Wonder where Jorah Mormont is?

Wonder what Margaery has been up to ~ we didn't see her at all last week or this week? Maybe she's bonding with Ser Pounce?

I honestly think that's the way it's heading too! Her as the ruler as almost every season ends with her and she just gets more powerful and powerful. I think maybe her and Jon Snow may rule together but for now my votes for Dany and I really think it's going to end with her in the most powerful role.

I have a feeling that the end will throw everyone, simply because it GRRM writing the story.  I have my theories on how some stuff will go down (and who will get revenge, etc), but the guy really has proven to kill off people you aren't expecting to die.  I just can't trust that he'll give anyone an ending that leaves them with the warm fuzzies.

I'll still hope for the things I want, but be prepared to be sad, angry, and disappointed, lol.

Nope. Right now, only Bran knows ... but Petyr Baelish might suspect. I wouldn't put it past Varys to know, either.

After seeing "Winterfell" for your location under your avatar,  I had to come over to TV shows and see if you had a thread for Game of Thrones.  Good call huh ?  I've read all the books except the last one that just came out.  The DW and I are up to the middle of season 5 on the TV show   They did an excellent job on following the story line.

Well what is happening ?

Dany is in Dragonstone.  Arya learned Jon Snow is King of the North.  Cersei is plotting to kill everyone.  Bran is south of the Wall now.  Jon has been called to kneel to a Queen.  Sam has learned where there is a stash of Dragon Glass.

An epic sea battle on last night's episode.  Didn't see that coming, but we should have!

Epic sea battle is an exageration.

its an epic battle (sword fights and stuff) that happened on board some ships at sea. They didnt show much of the ships attacking each other.

Also, John Snow has yet to learn that Darth Vader is really his father. He has to wait for the crippled dude to make it to him (which i think will happen this season, since crippled dude made it south of the wall)

Also spoiler alert- crippled dude is really Yoda, and he's going to tell John about his "other" sister (she's the one that's always getting nekkid).

Its exciting.

It was EPIC!  You must have blinked to not see the ship ramming and TONS of men running down the prow/gang plank. 

I kinda liked the design there.  it showed real ingenuity.

So many hacks, spoilers and leaks this season. It;s hard to avoid them all. HBO actually played this Sunday's episode early last week by accident in Europe.

We've managed to avoid all the leaks and spoilers so far.  DH and I actually stay up on Sunday to watch it this season.    We DVR it so we can watch it again during the week.

So many surprising twists this time!  And we're just SOOOOOOO close to everyone finding out who Jon's real parents are!
