Got my glasses FINALLY! Buying a replacement pair as soon my eyes calm down. They say it's bc my old ones weren't sitting right on my face (missing bridge)

A friend and his wife invited me to go to the lake and go boating with them Friday.  
I did.  Although it was VERY hot, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Thank you Universe........ The bank hasn't frozen my bank account yet, that's a good thing in my books. Life is so wonderful when the government overpays you, and you yourself caught the mistake. Just going along at a snails pace.

DD and I both get our hair done today so we will both look blonde and beautiful. Have I mentioned my hair stylist is a genius?

Plus, I'm babysitting wiggle butt ( the dog) next Thursday night until Friday night again. IF he's flea less. He's the cutest thing!! I don't even like dogs much but he's an exception to that.

My printer/scanner/all in one bit the dust. So yesterday I went to Office Depot, to get a new one. While I was there, I checked their clearance items. The had a basket of mostly random stuff, that was all marked down to $1! I found quite a few useful things in there.

Bargain shopping, at it's finest! Woo-hoo!  One of the things I got (actually I think I bought 4 ) is a clip board- but it opens up, so you can store your papers, notebook, pens and pencils inside of it. Also, they made the hinge in a special way, so it can be set up like an easel. Kinda cool.
When I was checking out, the guy told me the clip boards were originally $24.60!  Holy crap! I would have lived without it, at that price! Glad  I got it for $1. 

I love getting a true bargain!

Oh, I also met one of my friends, for lunch yesterday.

It was a good day.

Today I will see if I can get the new printer connected and running. Ay-yi-yi!

I sold my house, and there were some inspection issues.  I lined up an electrician to fix a few things, and a friend is handling the rest.  

I am so appreciative that I don't have to call multiple people, get bids, and try to figure out who will do what, and know that everything will be done well.

My kids give the best hugs in the mornings.

I get up shower, get them and dh up and then I leave for work around 615. The kids insist on hugs before I leave. Sometimes multiple hugs, sometimes sleepy ones but all are awesome.

I get hugs from them later in the day too but the morning hugs are special.

phone interview was today and they told me that I was indeed eligible for unemployment. Apparently when I signed to stop unemployment, it caused confusion. Having received a pension also caused confusion but that was for a job that I left in 2004 so allowed. Hopefully Jaguar has found equally capable government employees in her bank dilemma

I'm going to phone them on Monday September 12, so think good thoughts. 1st week of September, no one is up to anything.

A friend picked me up this morning and we drove to a classic car show about a hour away. It was really fun and I enjoy looking at the cars. My friend also managed to find a old car show buddy that had been doing poorly a few years ago and he seemed much happier and still had plenty of pep for being in his 70's.

Zib, I may be able to do you one better.  

A few years ago my street was closed because they were repaving.  I couldn't get into my driveway, let alone my garage.  

On my way home from errands I saw two young women on the side of the road attempting to put gas into their gas tank.  I saw they were having difficulty because they hadn't flipped open whatever it was that lets air into the gas can so they can pour out the gas.  I rolled down the front passenger window and told them what to do.  Before I could get home to park on the street nearest me that wasn't being paved, there was a huge downpour.  Unfortunately, that was the exact moment when my window regulator went out.  Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal because I could just park in my garage.  But it was pouring and I couldn't even get to my garage.  I had to park as close to my house as possible and try to protect the interior of my car from getting saturated, while getting myself saturated.

I feel your pain. 

But: good news today.  My brother, who hasn't sent me greeting card EVER, sent me a birthday card. And I got a check in the mail from the consignment shop; I sold more surplus stuff.

I decorated the outside of my place. Last year I was such a zombie that I barely put up a tree. This year I did inside and out. The kids will be thrilled.
