I spent all day, yesterday, with my daughter (10am-10:15 pm).
We went to breakfast.
Cleaned her gas BBQ, like nobody's business! -That was the the main goal of the day. Took us both all day, to get it done. But it has been done well.
Went shopping for a few replacement parts. Couldn't find what we needed, so I bought her some Pink Flamingos, for her garden, instead.
Cleaned up her back yard.
Got dinner, then came home.
It was a great day!

Dh and I spent the weekend in a hotel up north. Mom kept the kids so we could talk to lawn guys. He hired one. He'll mow everything once with a brush mower, then twice a month with a riding mower. It'll take him a couple of weeks to start with us. But the kids aren't out of school for a couple of weeks anyway.

Went to DD1's and BBQ'd using her shiny clean BBQ.  Then the 2 of us (and my grand dogs), went to DD2's softball game. Fun! This is what I'd like to be doing...  LMAO   |

I'm grateful for toilets that flush without sounding vicious and showers that act normal. Loved travel but the bathrooms were a challenge. Worth it but definitely a topic of conversation. My friend and I kept taking turns as to who had to experiment first!!

DD2 got another bird (pineapple conure). I don't trust her 1st one (golden cap, I think) he bites too hard. But I held her new bird today and she was so sweet!  |

Got my place all cleaned up for an inspection today. Then I wasn't picked, to be inspected. But at least my place is clean! Okay, so it is normally pretty clean. But now all those little 'loose ends' have been tied up. -Until tomorrow, at least!   |

GS1 got a late dorm assignment. His grants / scholarships are at 19k but the tuition / dorm / meal plan = 18,940  Has 1 scholarship amt still pndg. They came thru with 2k last year but never let you know until August. School says he's 6k short (offered / declined Plus loan). School's wrong, he's working On other fronts: DS is able to stand for at least 30 sec DD's is now officially a 3/2 homeowner (addition done) So they're both happy little homeowners |

Went to DD2 softball game. Her team was playing against the team that was in first place. Hers was in last place, I think. They played very well... and WON!  WOO - HOO! It was SO exciting! It gives the team a sense of accomplishment and makes it more fun to play, I think. Especially when they beat the first place team. Many on her team have never played prior to joining her team, this year. I was proud of them.  Only one more game to go. |

I bought myself some brightly colored fresh cut flowers. Sort of like this, if it had some sunflowers and rich deep purple colors added to it and 2-3 times bigger.  Maybe more like this, but only 1/2 as many & taller.  I enjoy having fresh cut flowers in my home. |

It's hard to get through the day, when you can't see clearly.  Did you get them on-line? I've heard that's the way to go, if you have a prescription. But I've never done it. I would be afraid that either they wouldn't fit, or wouldn't look good on me. (my head is on the small side, so quite often glasses are too big for my face.) |

I went and visited my friend's dad this evening. I had been going to visit him 1-2 times per week. Then they moved him to a retirement home that is significantly farther away from me. The kind of distance you have to pack at least a sack lunch and some snacks for, cuz it is so far.  (Not in my town any more.) So this is the first time I've seen him, since he got moved. I took him out for a shake, just to get him out. He was happy and surprised to see me. I enjoy visiting with him. |

I've watched my son's girlfriend's dog since Friday night. I'm glad he's going home today. He's a cutie pie but DH's cat is not a fan of dogs. But he's a sweet dog. When I walk him along Bayshore he gets lots of attention and I like talking to people.
