I thought Star Wars -The Last Jedi was NOT good. I expected more info about Rey and her parents & how she can use the force with NO training. The communication between Rey & Kylo was downright weird. They tried to inject humor at inappropriate parts (opening sequence, Rey & Kylo communication, etc.). Luke Skywalker was way off character. A slow moving spaceship chase? But peeps got time to go fly to the casino world and back? Worst $18 I spent (IMAX & 3D)

I would like to see Get Out.
Someone gave me a couple movie passes that expired yesterday so I was able to see the Last Jedi. I liked it. I am more Star Trek than Star Wars, but I loved that it gave homage to the initial movies while including some of the recent. I also enjoyed the humor of the usual cute Star Wars critters to help ease tension while watching the movie. I thought the Porgs were cool as I love Puffins. I wish Luke hadn't disappeared into the hereafter but it does give him license to come back like Yoda did.

Did anyone see Coco? I liked it, but it ended up being different than I thought. I actually cried towards the end of the movie. I almost saw Shape of Water instead, but it was brutal cold last night and Coco was earlier and shorter.

Get Out - great Blade Runner 2049 - surprisingly okay (from someone who fell asleep during the original) Star Wars: The Last Jedi - eh, the first half sucked but the second half was good (agree on the humor part - trying too much to replace Han, who was effortless at cracking jokes that fit into the flow of the movie)

The Mountain Between Us - 2017 Kate Winslet. I have been so interested to see this movie. also didn't know Kate has such an attractive body! the sex scene was nice! As a movie fan or fan of the movies. I can predict what will happen. typical scenarios and can guess pretty much the next scenes and the ending. However, here, with The Mountain Between Us. I did NOT expect the ending! Which makes this movie a surprise ending for me. 2. I find it so funny that women at the time of breakup. over relationship breakup with boyfriend, husband, divorce, or friendships. She always takes the dam dog! LOL! What's up with that!?? LOL 3. this movie also provides an example of how we good guys say how women throw away us good guys! he tends to her needs, wants, and desires. so many times she will tell him to go away! leave me! get out of here! but if he were to treat her like shit, start arguments, emotional abuse, she would not tell him to leave. This is a great movie to watch over and over. I did like how she pushed him to move on, stay alive. Women are smarter that way! I know!

I finally saw Get Out last weekend. Very good movie.
I watched 3 Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri on the plane to NYC. It was okay. I would give it 3 stars.
ZaireinHD - The Mountain Between Us is one I have been wanting to see

Jumanj Welcome To The Jungle - 2017 Karen Gillan Hilarious? Very Funny? or just funny? I'll say very funny with consistency. Including when they get a little serious. but with that said: I'll admit. There really are no times I don't find Kevin Heart funny. I am a big fan of Kevin Heart and find him so funny. So, I will admit! LOL! I really like Dwayne {The Rock} Johnson! LOL Love him as well! I am also current with the two of them on other movies they worked on together, and I do believe they are big time friends with each other. I have seen so many behind the scenes with the two of them. Jack Black playing the role of a teenage girl! no lies in the interviews I've seen. Jack Black is so funny! the parts scenes where the teenage girl no longer has female parts and now has to work her male part and hormones! I couldn't stop laughing! I have seen a lot of interviews before the movie was out in theaters. very happy to say I was not disappointed to see this movie. The ending was a little confusing to me. but not bad enough to ruin this movie. This is a movie I can watch over and over.

Ready Player One - hearing great reviews. Taking into account that the last video game I played was Astroids and having never watched Tron all the way through, should I see this one?

Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri - 2017 Frances McDormand I agree with movingforward. it's okay movie. I would not recommend it. I was interested to see this movie because the commercials looked like it was a funny comedy. but not a comedy and it's a drama. the ending was not good either. kinda stupid ending. disappointing ending. throughout the movie the mom is looking for answers to her daughters death. no answers were made. on second thought. I didn't like the movie. but with that said. I do feel it was worth my time to watch. just I wouldn't watch again. now thinking about the movie 3 billboards. the cop that gets so rightfully fired not only breaks the law. he does it, during the day, in front of plenty of people in this small town and assaults this other guy and throws him out the second floor window. and nobody does nothing! absolutely ridiculous!

To everything you said. I went into it knowing it was a drama though. With all the hoopla, I thought it was going to be something "profound." Like you said, a lot of it was WAY over the top and really just not very good. I do like Woody Harrelson and, to me, he was the best part of the movie. I need to get used to a lot of Oscar nominated movies being a huge disappointment.

Opti: We watched "Coco" recently. Indeed the ending was sweet, albeit predictable. Disney/Pixar movies are generally pretty good. ZaireinHD: The ending would make more sense if you'd watched the original "Jumanji". In the original movie, Robin williams' character is trapped "in the game" as a young boy. Another girl playing it with him at that time, left in the real world, is traumatized and simply abandons the game. Some time later (30 years?), two more kids discover the game and start to play, adding themselves as players to the game already in progress from 30 years earlier. Robin Williams materializes back into the real world as a result. To finish the game, he and the kids need to find the (now middle-aged) girl who started the game with Williams, which they do. At the of the movie, when the game is "won", Robin Williams and his friend are sent back 30 years to the instant in time they started playing the game. They're both kids again. 30 years later, in an altered history, they meet the two kids from the original future who helped them beat the game. Or possibly just their parents. I can't recall. In this sequel, once the game is won the "pilot" who'd started playing the game in 1996 is evidently also sent back in time to the instant he'd started playing as a teenager. History has been altered so that he never vanished, his parents never fell into despair, their house never fell into ruin, and he now has a family of his own. When he sees the other four characters, he intuits that they're his friends from the game (presumably because there are four of them and they're staring at him awestruck). To them, only a few minutes have passed, but to him, 20+ years have gone by since he last saw them. Of course he doesn't recognize them at first because they aren't their avatars. Naturally the whole thing is a paradox, because if he'd never become trapped in the game, they'd never have found the console junked in the school, and even if they had, they wouldn't have met him inside. So take the move with a healthy suspension of disbelief, which I'm pretty sure you did.

Saw Chappaquiddick yesterday. It was good. More emotional that I thought it would be. That poor girl may have been alive for hours. Politics is so ugly.

The other scene is the lady commits a crime of arson! and to make it worse. she burns down the police station. there is no way someone will not get caught burning or starting a fire to burn down a police station. Stupid!
the ending Stupid! these TWO criminals ride off into the sunset. without being charged for anything!

Yes, Quoted myself. Ended up going to watch it. Start was a bit of, "Is this really for me" but stuck with it and ended up liking it.

Friday the 13th - 1980 Betsy Palmer
well, it's only fitting now. being that we recently had a Friday the 13th! LOL Great movie classic. 1980 this movie was scary! LOL. the age of being innocent! then the next few times watching this movie the intensity of being 100% scared. seemed to have die down. which sometimes this turned into a comedy! just was funny! However, currently, I will watch this first episode on the actual day when we have a Friday the 13th. Currently, the rule is. no horror movies before going to bed. the music alone is scary enough! LOL Mrs Voorhees! Kill them! kill them all! too funny! hey lady! what is your deal?

Game Night is the funniest movie I have seen this year. Tag is coming out soon. That will be funny, also. My friends and I have Moviepass annual subscription so we are at the movies about twice a week. We have the unlimited plan and can go to one of the 2D movies each day. The subscription is $9.95 per month.
MP promotion is giving subscribers 3 free one month for new subscribers.

Father Figures - 2017 Glenn Close
What a funny way to find out your mom was a whore in her youth! no! not a prostitute. woman of the night. paid for sex. just a normal, free love'n, hippie, Woodstock, follow the band, in her youthful 20's, in the years of the 60's, kind of whore! LOL the kind of whore with today TV talk shows like Jerry Springer and Maury. where the woman does not know who the baby father is. Father Figures is a movie about twins that only one of them want to find out who is his dad? but by the end of the movie. his mom or the mother is such a good liar. I am not so sure they found the right father. But they did get closure. which is the important part of finding their father. which the twins are not kids. they are in their early 40's at best! Good movie, with funny scenes.

I got my moviepass card about a week ago so will probably be going to the movies a little more.
I finally saw Black Panther (been wanting to see if forever) - LOVED it!
I also saw I Feel Pretty. It was enjoyable enough. I thought it was over the top (like a lot of movies these days) because I don't think Amy Shuman is ugly and is, what I would call, just slightly overweight. The overall message of the movie was good though and it was entertaining.

If anyone here wants a referral to movie pass for the first month free, I have mine. Life of the Party. My movie going friend didn't like it. She said my picker was broken a 2nd time. She did not offer an alternative to 2 we had not seen. We don't see scary stuff. Anyhow. I could not believe Melissa McCarthy does nothing but talk constantly then gets stage fright in front of everyone in class. Oh Pulease. If I didn't have moviepass, I wouldn't have bothered.
