Nothing really, just some routine stuff.
I did do a prelim on the taxes. Have a lot of my forms in, but I'm missing my Walmart stock dividends and interest form and the 1099 for hubs RMD on one account, but I know the amount. It appears to be looking like we will get a nice refund of part of the estimated tax. If so that will be good.

Got gumbo and ate a leisurely late lunch.
Went to the city, took 3 pairs of scissors to be sharpened.
Talked with the lady about cleaning the old machine I bought and checking it out. She can do it, even had one of the tables for it to drop in. I told her what I paid for it, she said you can't touch one for that, I knew that. Have to have hubs take it out of the table.
Dropped off a pair of eye glasses to be recycled. Dropped in at the grocer spent $45. Mailed a letter for DD's status to the state.
Bought buttons for my jacket and some others. Wondering why buttons for clothing say spot clean. The cashier and I were talking about that one. Like she was saying and you wash them on clothing, that should be interesting.
Came home, finished the soup. Pretty much it.

Got a PM from a tenant, they just moved from a mobile we had to a small house about 1200 sq ft.
She was thrilled, their gas bill was $77, she said she keeps it 73 in the day and 68 at night thought this cold weather. We thought the little house was very tight, apparently it is. Happy tenants and efficient systems helps them be able to pay their rent!! So its a bit self serving also.

I took all that down about taxes, after reading it I'm relooking and posted a question to the tax board. I'm really uncertain about the LLC, if not for it I could file my own taxes. I need to read more and get a clear understanding how the thing works.
I found this by steff, I love her stuff and laughed my way through it. She is so funny, think I will put it on facebook, there is nothing to identify the writer.
I went to bed at 5:30 am after making hubby breakfast....slept until 12:30ish...okay, I slept until 1. Had a dr pepper & a smoke & because hubby is on vacation and I'm thisclose to killing him, I waked n baked. once my kill switch had been subdued, I went out & helped him pick veggies in garden. My kill switch was quickly reactivated & I spent the next hour planning on where in the garden I'll bury him. I came in the house and unloaded & reloaded the dishwasher. Then I began to work my way thru veggies. I washed, sliced, breaded & laid out on cookie sheets a giant bowl of okra and slices of squash. I washed, snapped, sorted a couple of gallons of green beans (btw, my essay on How I Spent My Summer will be 2 words....Green Beans.). I cooked a big wok full of Chinese green beans. I cooked a big ass pan of bacon green beans. I blanched a big ass pot of green beans. cooled, bagged, & in the freezer. Then I realized I was out of room in the freezer. so I put on my pack mule outfit and began moving frozen veggies from the laundry room freezer to the new basement freezer. I dropped a bag of frozen squash on my foot and briefly considered using that momentary loss of sanity to kill hubby, but decided I couldn't walk enough to do it. I hobbled my now limping pack mule ass up and down the stairs 2 more times. But I contained the frozen bags of foot death in a laundry basket for those last 2 trips.
then I sat my pack mule ass down, had several smokes of a couple of things & regained my PMS happy zone of I'm only thinking of killing you. Then I whined & conned hubby into shucking 35 ears of corn for me. SUCKER! I then sorted ears of corn...yeah, as thrilling as it sounds. Froze 15 ears whole, scraped & milked 20 ears, seasoned, bagged, labeled, into the empty freezer. Then I put on my sombrero and began coring out a huge ass bowl of jalapenos. Once my hands & eyes & nose were properly burning & watering, I made the cream cheese gunk to fill them with. I made sure to rub lots of the gunk all over my hands, the counter, the cutting board and the outside of the bag as I put the gunk into a baggie to fill the hot little eye waterers. After attempting to fill 2 with no sucess, my dingbat stoned ass remembered to poke a hole in the bottom of them all. so toothpick...peppers...5 minutes I'll never get back. And back to squeezing gunk inside of peppers & it works much better this time. On a cookie sheet & into the freezer. Cleaned cream cheese off everything in the kitchen.
Suddenly remember that I started laundry like 3 hours ago...and finally switch loads. Watered the herb plants while in the laundry room. Stopped to bitch about kiddo's unfinished laundry on the floor & put it into a basket. stub my toe on the basket and notes to self look for 2nd spot in garden. Flips a coin literally to decide if I bother cooking dinner or just order a pizza. Notes to self to bury coin in garden also & proceeded to make fried chicken for dinner. Swept the kitchen floor and collected another entire bowl of flying corn while the chicken was cooking. Made new potatoes with bacon green beans, corn on the cob (cause yeah, I also have a bag with like 10 ears in the fridge already), and a salad. Cleaned the kitchen & informed hubby if he didn't put his dishes in the dishwasher when he was done, then he was done for good, because I am done in the kitchen for the day.
Sat down here & started reading...remembered laundry as I typed...switched loads again. Now have a basket of towels on the couch staring at me. Before I could sit back down, remembered I needed to water my lettuce....so pack mule back on duty...slogged water out to water the lettuce. Picked and ate 3 strawberries. Plopped my pack mule ass back down here and typed this.
I need a nap.

Received our property tax statement for 2019 and was shocked to see our taxes had decreased by over $1300! Thinking the county had made a huge mistake I waited for the other shoe to drop. A post card from the county tax assessor arrived a few days later explaining the "revised property tax rate decrease". No mistake. The local levy had dropped by 50% with slight decreases in the state tax and local bond. I'm keeping our budgeted monthly amount for taxes the same as last year to give us a cushion against any surprise life (or the tax man) might decide to throw our way.

Wow, would I be pleasantly surprised, good for you.
I just finished the jacket I was making. And I had made an eyelet embroidered blouse some time ago and had not put the buttonholes in it, so finished it too. I love my new sewing room. So handy, good lighting and can walk away and leave things out.
Got to hit the sack, need to get up at 9, LOL, but its 2AM. We are taking hubs aunt out for her birthday dinner, I think she is 90. Neither lady looks 90 and 92, to bad they have mental issues.

Finished our federal taxes and e-filed. No refund again this year....sigh! Oh well, it's another check mark off on my to-do list for the year.
We received a 1/4 inch of snow yesterday with a possibility of more on Friday. Right now the sun is shining but there are dark clouds starting to move in from the west. I'm more than ready for spring to get here.

Beautiful spring day, 70 degrees and sunny. I hung the laundry outside to dry for the first time since last October. Love the smell of clothes dried in fresh air and sunshine. Cleaned out some of the flower beds, trimmed my rosebushes and just plain enjoyed the gorgeous weather. Simple pleasures.

Dinner was baked salmon, steamed asparagus, both are now gone. I had 2 turtles for dessert.
I'm hungry, drank water too. I'm thinking of eating some pineapple packed in its own juice or some halo oranges 3 or 4 of those.
Had tomato soup for lunch, a small bowl of steel cut oats.
Having a hard time eating less. I may eat some cashews. Oh I had 3 tacos with a bit of melted butter on t them heated in the microwave for 35 seconds.

Yesterday was a great day!!! I had set aside $ 3k to redo the sunroom. After adding up the receipts I've spent just under $700 and it's done. I'm definitely going to enjoy sitting out there this summer in the mornings and evenings.
I can take pictures, but don't have a way to post them.

So far, so good. January issue in ER, our part was $157+ and paid by Aetna. I wonder when they drop plan F will I be grandfathered or will they drop me. Need to look up and see. We will then owe deductibles, drat, that was nice and they haven't paid that much yet. So clear on that bill, wasn't concerned with it. The one I am concerned about is the new one.
My scrip costs for the year to date is $1074, I have up to $3800 or around that before I get in the donut hole. The first 2 months had a couple of expensive ones, but not since, so again, may be ok.
I am happy with the tax refund, but its just our money back, $9237! Just hope it won't go for hospital bill. I would love to spend on the flooring I need, but not going to as I may have to use it. I am so hoping. I anticipate next years taxes being the same as this, following year will need to pay estimated again. I would love to have carpet in living and dining, but with hubs home all the time, would have to go darker. We don't wear shoes but its getting stained. Maybe because its old and been cleaned so much. I have 2 stains from baby formula that bleached it. They are where you can't hide it. I'm sure we will do laminate or hardwood.
We drove to Illinois today about 70 or so miles. Hubs wanted to get this certain cabinet for the bathroom he is rebuilding. It's nice 7 ft tall, double doors, 4 shelves, looks very nice, he has to assemble it. We went to a Home Depot, none around here. I saw some flooring I really like for the kitchen and dining room for that house, its waterproof, love it. $3 a sq ft and we can install. I told hubs lets put it in the kitchen, dining, room, and built in back porch, will be a nice flow. We are still undecided about the living room. We may be able to sand and put area rugs down. The bedrooms will be carpet, and I wouldn't mind using the same flooring as the kitchen in the bathroom.
I need to measure and start ordering blinds and curtains also. I would love to go with a light grey and dark gray color scheme. But the woodwork is all stained a dark walnut, I would have to use liquid sander of something to make paint stick. I'm thinking of just washing it down and go with beige instead, it will look nice that way too. Hubs is getting ready to order blown in insulation.
We had lunch out on the way, it was really good. In Indiana was very gloomy, in Illinois the sun was out and pretty. A good day.

Cleared most of my to-do list today. Took the recycling to the nearby transfer station. Our curbside recycling doesn't take cardboard and glass is picked up only once a month and has to be put in a separate container. It's easier just to take everything to one place once a month and be done with it. Did some stock up grocery/HBA shopping. Bought DH a belated birthday gift. He wanted the dual probe remote thermometer for his Big Green Egg grill.
Stopped off at the post office to pick an item that needed a signature.
Planted several new perennials. This past winter killed off several of my plantings.
Happy Easter!!

Went over to get some items to use in preparing dinner. The sacker forgot to put a sack in my cart. That contained the zucchini, basil, the purple onion, and DD's little sandwiches. The main things I went for. They said bring in the receipt, I said I did not take one. They had the sack, the sacker said he went to get tomatoes for me and so had not put it in yet. They wanted to know the dollar amount even after the cashier remembering me. So I had to go into my bank account to get the amount that was pending. Thankfully hubs was still in town so he is going to pick it up on the way home. You would have thought it was a $500 purchase, like wow. So dinner is half cooked at this point and I did not get the colorful purple onion in it, oh well.

Then he had to go to the back of the store to get it from a cooler back there. He said they looked at him like he stole something carrying the sack through the store, he said I didn't even stop. I said I'm sure the cashier said something. They have a ton of theft in our little town. It's unreal.

I think my bridge underneath is going bad. Chewing isn't hurting but its uncomfortable like I'm feeling pressure. I bet the 2 teeth are rotting or something, not good. I'm like hubs implants, we are not doing caps, so about $3000 each and if a 3 need done, a ton of money. Likely there goes my vacations and flooring. Damn I had the other side done a few years back as the teeth were to short to cap again. And I know its a matter of time till my left front top goes. Not sure if they can do it, doc said something about a problem with sinuses and they have to make sure my bones are strong enough to do it. I think they have been, but you never know.

Spent a fair amount of time weeding my flower beds....we have a LOT of area in plantings. It's good exercise and it keeps me from browsing on the internet and spending money.

Right now I am watching a golf tournament in Wisconsin where everyone is in shirt sleeves. We are cold. Ugh. The Rome tennis tournament was cold. People had coats on and then it rained on and off.
