Well, it was so pretty and sleek with it's light gold metal covering, I decided I'd better let it have someplace to live so I made this.:

LOL! What I've done today: Preened, made bacon for breakfast, salad for lunch, packed a yogurt and blueberries for a snack, and drove to the office. Opened the office, posted two client payments, typed up evidence for insurance for a new UTV, called customer service twice because of a client's PITA payment, have had two walk-in clients, one had her adorable granddaughters with her, caught up here, went through 15 email, posted ATV Club pictures on our Facebook page, posted a picture on my agency Facebook page, responded to 3 Facebook messages, checked my bank balances, input last night's liquor store receipt into my checkbook, written several emails to several different underwriters..... *inhale* ....Finished my Monster and orange sticks, watered the plants, answered at least 10 incoming calls, processed two receipts and two policy endorsements, one outgoing piece of snail mail, caught up here, and on two other websites, pulled two client files, read a money saving article, had to restart my effin computer, checked my "smart phone", replaced the batteries in my head set....... And the day is only half over.

I went to bed at 5:30 am after making hubby breakfast....slept until 12:30ish...okay, I slept until 1. Had a dr pepper & a smoke & because hubby is on vacation and I'm thisclose to killing him, I waked n baked. once my kill switch had been subdued, I went out & helped him pick veggies in garden. My kill switch was quickly reactivated & I spent the next hour planning on where in the garden I'll bury him. I came in the house and unloaded & reloaded the dishwasher. Then I began to work my way thru veggies. I washed, sliced, breaded & laid out on cookie sheets a giant bowl of okra and slices of squash. I washed, snapped, sorted a couple of gallons of green beans (btw, my essay on How I Spent My Summer will be 2 words....Green Beans.). I cooked a big wok full of Chinese green beans. I cooked a big ass pan of bacon green beans. I blanched a big ass pot of green beans. cooled, bagged, & in the freezer. Then I realized I was out of room in the freezer. so I put on my pack mule outfit and began moving frozen veggies from the laundry room freezer to the new basement freezer. I dropped a bag of frozen squash on my foot and briefly considered using that momentary loss of sanity to kill hubby, but decided I couldn't walk enough to do it. I hobbled my now limping pack mule ass up and down the stairs 2 more times. But I contained the frozen bags of foot death in a laundry basket for those last 2 trips.
then I sat my pack mule ass down, had several smokes of a couple of things & regained my PMS happy zone of I'm only thinking of killing you. Then I whined & conned hubby into shucking 35 ears of corn for me. SUCKER! I then sorted ears of corn...yeah, as thrilling as it sounds. Froze 15 ears whole, scraped & milked 20 ears, seasoned, bagged, labeled, into the empty freezer. Then I put on my sombrero and began coring out a huge ass bowl of jalapenos. Once my hands & eyes & nose were properly burning & watering, I made the cream cheese gunk to fill them with. I made sure to rub lots of the gunk all over my hands, the counter, the cutting board and the outside of the bag as I put the gunk into a baggie to fill the hot little eye waterers. After attempting to fill 2 with no sucess, my dingbat stoned ass remembered to poke a hole in the bottom of them all. so toothpick...peppers...5 minutes I'll never get back. And back to squeezing gunk inside of peppers & it works much better this time. On a cookie sheet & into the freezer. Cleaned cream cheese off everything in the kitchen.
Suddenly remember that I started laundry like 3 hours ago...and finally switch loads. Watered the herb plants while in the laundry room. Stopped to bitch about kiddo's unfinished laundry on the floor & put it into a basket. stub my toe on the basket and notes to self look for 2nd spot in garden. Flips a coin literally to decide if I bother cooking dinner or just order a pizza. Notes to self to bury coin in garden also & proceeded to make fried chicken for dinner. Swept the kitchen floor and collected another entire bowl of flying corn while the chicken was cooking. Made new potatoes with bacon green beans, corn on the cob (cause yeah, I also have a bag with like 10 ears in the fridge already), and a salad. Cleaned the kitchen & informed hubby if he didn't put his dishes in the dishwasher when he was done, then he was done for good, because I am done in the kitchen for the day.
Sat down here & started reading...remembered laundry as I typed...switched loads again. Now have a basket of towels on the couch staring at me. Before I could sit back down, remembered I needed to water my lettuce....so pack mule back on duty...slogged water out to water the lettuce. Picked and ate 3 strawberries. Plopped my pack mule ass back down here and typed this.
I need a nap.

steff Nowhere do I see that you plowed/mowed the back forty, built a carport for the other cars, replaced plumbing and layed down new tile in the basement. You are quite the slacker. You should be hanging your head in shame not napping. Oh did I miss whether or not you buried your husband? I can help with that if need be

I'm on a diet so I went to walk at the Rec Center for 30 minutes before going out to lunch with DH. I was good at lunch, though. I had a grilled pork chop and two helpings of green beans.
Then I pulled down some of the glassware (3 sets) that I've been meaning to post online. Two sets already have questions so maybe I will get lucky. At $2.50 a goblet for Noritake, I'm giving the stuff away. But I've got to downsize.
I washed all of it and cleaned the top of the refrigerator. It is stored in those little cabinets above the refrigerator.
Yesterday I painted the hallway. I also bought the crap (good word choice) for the colonoscopy I have to have next week. Nothing's wrong that I know of, but I hate it. Oh, and I also washed clothes yesterday.

I can see my paycheck getting docked...oh wait, what paycheck. lol And my hubby received a temporary stay of execution for 2 reasons. He called work & he goes back to work Monday night (Thank You Flying Spaghetti Monster!) and he's asleep in his recliner downstairs. So he's safe.....for tonight. I make no guarantees for the rest of his vacation.

I feel like a lesser being today after reading these posts I went to work and did a bunch of spreadsheets. I went to the company picnic, which wasn't good, left and went home. I guess I am running 2 loads of laundry and took the garbage out. Soon it will be time to be a parent and look after kids. I am resting in preparation

And to top it off, I was too lazy to start a thread on "the best tires for the money, what kind of tires, should I trade my car instead of getting new tires, how much should I pay and all that stuff.

I called my late sister's husband. Seems I'm the first in my family to just talk with him. He's doing better than what we all thought he would be doing. But like he says, he's had his family with him all week.
I wish him the best, cause I love my sister.

Let's see; - gave the dog a short walk before work - worked this morning which involved doing payroll and "team building" - went and got my nails done (waaaaaay overdue) - came home and made wings and cole slaw for lunch - took dog for a longer walk - attempted to power wash the deck but the borrowed power washer didn't work - went to 2 places attempting to rent a power washer, too late for this weekend - came home and weeded the front garden (about 10 minutes) - had a nap - watered plants - made supper - got on here
Insert reading the boards any time I was near a computer into that list.
It always surprises me when I make these lists because I never really feel very busy but I get stuff done.

I discovered my car wouldn't start and called AAA. The battery was a goner, but I was entitled to buy one at a pro-rated discount because the battery I had came from AAA on September 15, 2010. Apparently, every time my wonderful DH deploys, I let the car battery die .... because that's what happened back in 2010. (Oops.) Note to self: drive his car once a week or so. Or at least start it. Sheesh.
I picked a gazillion tomatoes off our overachieving mutant tomato bushes. I gave a bag-full to the AAA guy. I gave a bag-full to two different friends. And I still have an impressive pile here in the kitchen. (It's 5 different varieties of cherry, pear and grape tomatoes). Looks like I'll have more ready to be picked Monday or Tuesday.
I acquired unsweetened vanilla almond breeze, mushrooms, an avocado, 3-bean salad, macaroni salad, and turkey from the grocery store. (The car is starting fine, with its new battery.)
I watered my aforementioned overachieving mutant tomatoes, enjoying the butterflies, hummingbirds, and dragonflies out front. I also watched the squirrels enjoy their newly-peanut-filled feeder. I admonished them to stop dropping shells all over the sidewalk and ~ as usual ~ they ignored me. Squirrels. They NEVER listen.
I was going to prep radishes, but got bored halfway through the 4 bunches. So, they are all washed and off their greens, but I still need to trim off the heads and those little mousie radish tails. One of my cats stole a radish (carrying it by the mousie tail) and it was last seen heading into the living room. Funny, I didn't know my cats even LIKED radishes. I assume we'll find it, all shriveled up, months from now. This is my explanation for the mummified dried baby carrot that was under the fridge. (My wonderful DH rarely stashed his unwanted veggies under there.)
Of course, I also did my animal rescue work today ... posted on Facebook at 7am, 8am, 9am, 9:30am, 11:30am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 8:30pm. Now I can wait until 11pm to select 5-10 Goodnight Kitty Photos from the 100+ that are submitted daily. Crazy Facebook Cat Ladies. (grin) I also liked a gazillion cat photos, answered questions, and removed some spam. THEN I went online and processed 6 adoption applications. (We get a lot of applications that don't meet our adoption criteria.... so my job is to review all apps, recommend denial, recommend approval, or create a list of additional questions that get emailed to the adopters.) I also sent a half dozen emails to and from staff about adopted cats, needing photos, etc. (This is a full-time volunteer gig for me)
Of course, I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. (I never forget to eat. People who "forget to eat" are like aliens to me.)
I hung out in the swimming pool this afternoon with a friend who was over. While in the pool, I watered the backyard plants and tomatoes in pots.
My wonderful DH called (he's deployed) so we chatted for a few minutes. Yay! I love hearing from him.
After dinner, I will do some swimming pool exercises, I will watch The Next Food Network Star, and I will babysit the Facebook page... and pre-schedule tomorrow's posts from 7am to 5pm.

Cleaned the kitchen. Did laundry. Cleaned up the dog yard. Finished painting some trim work. Spent way too much time online plotting converting some unused (or badly used) closets into other uses.
Made BLTs. I just couldn't face yet another night of spaghetti. I still haven't conquered the huge pot I made of it, and I'm not sure how long it's good for or if I can stand to eat any of it tomorrow. No room in the freezer to package it for later.

I killed a skeeter in the shower BEFORE it could bite me. HA! Take that, you dead insect!!! I spent a good 5 minutes getting on and off the scale. (Don't judge, it's an official weigh-in day and I was going for best 2 out of 3) I went and got my hair cut. (Yes, I did contemplate getting weighed AGAIN) Came home, breakfasted. Been Facebooking, etc. The radishes in the fridge are calling my name for me to come prep them ....... I may have to silence them with a sharp, pointy knife.
