Rusty to Re-Purposed...

I'll be adding photos/creative ideas in the days/weeks to come. Here's the first. Have an old metal head-or-foot board from an old bed?

With a new paint-job, you can turn it into a pretty garden trellis. This one is painted green, and used for Clematis to climb:

Hollow out an old log - and turn it into a pretty planter:

Turn a few terra-cotta flower pots into a vertical herb garden (you could even plant small flowers instead, if that's your preference. Great for a front door/porch accent piece - or tucked into a corner of a patio:

Re-purpose an old spice rack into a storage rack for nail polishes. Just a new coat of paint and a few stencils (if you want to be creative), and you have a place to store all those tiny bottles off the counters/dresser - you could do this for thread thimbles as well if you sew:

Got an old metal watering can? Turn it into a funky hanging planter:

Two small dressers/end tables repainted and joined back-to-back can be used to create a base for a kitchen island - with the added bonus of extra storage drawers under the counter-top slab.

Check ìt for bird nests and nestlings though during spring and early/mid summer before you flood it with water.  It would make a great nesting site.
