I have 2 old chairs (great tongue + groove bones but worn) that I'm refinishing. I initially thought to do it in MCKENZIE CHILD style ( www.mackenzie-childs.com/shop.axd/ProductDetails?edp_no=830 ) but I think 2 side chairs, table, lamp all decked out in a guest bedroom (12×13) would be too overpowering. So now I'm thinking just a lamp? Reupholster to go with lamp? There'll be a full bed + 2 turquoise nightstands in there too. Shelves / baskets in built out closet for clothes Room will be for GS1 & BF when they're home from college on weekends I get my office back + 1 other room that I have no idea what to do with. Piano / guitars stay so a music room again? |

Options trading is a helluva a lot easier than changing 2 junk yard chairs into something I actually want in the house

Before:  After:  Not bad for my first try. I'll do the 2nd barstool tomorrow. Did you spray or brush paint?? Inquiring mind needs to know It's just like my 'start' chairs ex they're regular height ... no idea how to post their ugly pic |

I sprayed. I have a few spots that aren't perfect, but overall, spraying worked for me.

DD took those chairs so I'm doing a child's rocker in that style but a musical instrument instead of flowers and black / lt blue / forest green / peach. I want 1 unusual piece. Wish I could post pics  |

DD's littlest one is loving the rocker so looking for a next project now that I'm going to be laid off after I get back from France. But apparently EVERYONE is now refurbishing broken down chairs!
