You NEVER want someone to cook for you who does not want to cook for you. Think about it.

PeoIle have too much free time on their hands. I am all for "standing up for your rights" and all, but going after a bakery for not wanting to bake you a cake is not really doing that If ìt ìs not "standing up for your rights", then what ís ìt? Under Colorado law, their rights were violated. Isn't Colorado the same state that voted against gay marriage? So they are allowed to do that but get bunched up about a cake. Seems a little inconsistent.

I wish the states and the feds would stop the two faced treatment of gays give them the rights they deserve. Instead they blow them kisses with one hand and punch them in the gut with the other.

It isn't the voters who are butting into this business.

No I have not. But you seem to know someone. Was he terminated? He could have been carrying any number of viruses.

He could have been carrying any number of viruses. I've been involved in the restaurant business since my late teens. I've heard of this happening many times. Once a State prison inmate (cook), who worked in the employees cafeteria, placed a wad of his pubic hair into the hamburger bun of a woman who he disliked. She actually bit into it. I'm sure he was fired. All I am saying is be careful that you don't tick off your cook.

It's really quite simple, or at least should be simple, for these people. If they have read their Bible, they know that God commands us to obey the laws of man EXCEPT when they conflict with God's laws. After some fairly extensive research, I find no passage where God commanded that homosexuals should not be fed. If State law says you can't discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, then you should obey that law. By doing so, you are obeying God.
Again, I'm mystified as to why anyone feels the need to inform anyone else of their sexual orientation anyway. Perhaps some of this stuff could be avoided if we all keep private what should be private. If you don't want "govenment in the bedroom", don't give them the damn key to the door.

Apparently, you've never pissed off a cook and had him spit in your food? No detection of a crime there. No I have not. But you seem to know someone. Was he terminated? He could have been carrying any number of viruses. Actually, when I was in high school I worked at Burger King. On one occasion I saw a girl spit into the hamburger of her ex-boyfriend and another time the person wroking the drive through intentionally dropped the burger on the floor (the actually burger, then put it back on teh bun) because the person at the drive thru was being a total prick. I'm sure I've seen more but it has been a LONG time and those were the two that stick out in my mind. Because of what I ahve personally seen, I NEVER send food back at a restaurant. I have told the manager the food was awful (maybe 2x in my life) and asked that it be taken off my bill, but I have never sent food back and asked for it to be fixed. You just never know what stupid shit is workign in the kitchen.

agreed have you ever heard the saying(usually uttered by anti Christians) about religion? "religion is like a penis, its all well and good that you have one, but don't wave it around in public, and please, don't go shoving it down the throats of children". ditto sexuality.

You NEit.ER want someone to cook for you who does not want to cook for you. Think about it. You can also be charged with a crime for screwing around with food. Think about it. You could take the chance of changing your recipe and it tastes bad. That isn't against the law - I've had plenty of bad food at restaurants. Spitting in someone's food is kind of dumb, because likely it won't cause any problems (if the spitter is healthy, then it isn't much worse than serious french kissing.) But you would really damage a party by putting half the sugar as necessary into the wedding cake.

Keep up...I said that 3 pages ago :-p I would never put non-food items in teh cake...but fucking up the recipe isn't illegal

... ditto sexuality. I would agree also about sexuality. But we are talking about marriage, not sexuality. True. But? When I went in and ordered my wedding cake, my best friend - my Maid of Honor - went with me. My soon-to-be husband was not at all interested in going. Even though there were two females there ordering the cake, I did not feel the need to say, "I would like to order a cake for a HETEROSEXUAL wedding." Why does anybody feel the need to announce they are ordering a cake for a homosexual wedding? That was my point. Just order the friggin cake and keep your private life private.

Was it possible at the time you walked into that establish for you and maid of honor to be legally wed? Besides: Sometimes that cake topper is a dead give away.

If you baked the cake publicly kicking, screaming and angry you had to bake a wedding cake for a gay wedding, and only put in half the sugar or worse, waaaaay too much salt, there might be a case for at least small claims court (if not more).
