Good luck everyone, whatever may happen. I'm pulling a Goober, see ya..................... I'll join you. It's well past time for some of us to walk our own paths. Good luck to all, especially to the Francisco d'Anconias.

" hordes of starving people start running north out of Houston, don't kid yourselves, you wouldn't be able to hold them off for long. Concrete cowboys, in any mental state, trying to go up against a group of fully trained ex-Marines, soldiers, and avid hunters, which my group encompasses, will not only hold them off but will see a serious decrease in the Texas census." One for the ages!!

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But, today, is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

Trae-I assumed you didn't want this thread and all your hard work moving it to Proboards getting lost in the general P&M area so I moved it here for safekeeping.

I recall hearing some whack job over on the old MSN P&M board constantly going on about unrest, protests, riots, food shortages, soaring food prices, the economy collapsing, and on and on and on. Thank goodness we had some level headed people who constantly rebuked that guy, and was able to bring up multiple examples of exactly how we are in fact in a recovery. Aren't you guys so glad that the worst is behind us now? Now that we are solidly in a growth/recovery mode, and the whole world has settled down, I guess we can all start singing Kumbya and Happy Days Are Here Again.

Yes Mr. Stay Put. I vividly remember that "whack job" way back on MSN. Come to think of it, it was...... well.... it was you. of course you had a strong supporting cast such as the esteemed Mr. fiscan and the immortal Mr. traelin0. I trust you all have made the necessary adjustments and preparations. You know what Mr. fiscan's main commodity was for self preservation. I'm sure people in those upper class Egyptian neighborhoods could have used a piece or two. They had to settle for machetes and baseball bats. I wonder if that would be enough in this venue.

Mr. burnsattornican, you are so correct. fiscan and trae were there every step of the way. In fact, my friend fiscan found himself put on vacation on more than one occasion, as was I, for speaking out against the situation that we find ourselves in, and that which is still to come.

Whatever happened to Traeoline? Did the black helicoptors catch up with him, or did the gold bullion he was aquiring accidently crush him?

Economic collapse thread needs a shot of adrenaline. It was so appropiate two years ago, and even more so today, but alas, it is buried in a suboard, destined for oblivion.

Ergo, somewhere some poor narcissist must be nursing their bruised ego... and plotting revenge. The longevity of a thread rarely can be attributed to high-quality content. The longest-running threads I've seen in MANY online forums just happen to be the ones constantly goosed ("bumped")... usually by some obsessive-compulsive desperately seeking online status. (Odd as it may seem, apparently there are literally hundreds of thousands of jpgs to tell us "Have a good day!" and "Thank God it's Friday!")

To the moderators here: Could you release this thread and move it back to the regular P&M Thread area? This thread has become more relevent than ever, due to the now faltering economy and economic collapse that is happening in Europe. Do we double dip, or do we collapse? A year ago, I did not think this was even an actual issue. Now, it seems to be.

Holy friholies. Somebody has actually looked at and responded on this thread since I was last here? Whatever you do, do not compare the FED spending chart with the stock market. The similarities are "completely" coincidental. Just because the printing presses will have no choice but to stop, does not mean in ANY way, shape or form that there will be anything to worry about with any kind of a crash. Again there is absolutely no correlation between the FED dumping dollars into the market and the stock market's health. Go on with your merry lives.

Stay Put, I told you never to call both the timing of the event as well as the event itself. I told you there were more legs in this bubble than what you gave it credit for in 2009. 2015.75 (OCT 2015). That's what Armstrong's ECI points to.

traelinO, my old friend. How has this world been treating you lately? I do appreciate your word of caution, and that is exactly why I simply pointed out an obvious correlation between the FED charts and that of the stock markets. You will notice that I have intentionally left out a due date given the fact that our wonderful govt has proven to write rewrite their own rules for our economy.

Just found out some interesting news today. We are looking at getting visas and part of the process for certain countries is your typical NCIC background check. Well in order to request it, you need to submit a standard FD-258 (fingerprints) along with your RFI to the FBI, and send their results to whatever consulate you're interested in getting a visa from. Now in normal times, an American could simply go down to their local police agency, bring in the forms (sometimes they even supply them) and get rolled. But according to the local sheriff's office 'round here, Washington (I presume DHS) has told the non-Federales to cease and desist offering fingerprinting services for anything related to "immigration". Call me crazy, but I am trying to TRAVEL/EMIGRATE, not immigrate. But that's beside the point. We were pointed in the direction of INS, and the closest INS is hours away. Fortunately, this problem was only vexing for me for a few minutes, unlike for most people. I called our MP Station and the fingerprinter was shocked about this. So was my office security officer. Take this information for what it's worth, but consider this. Parasites aren't trying to escape America, generally speaking. It's generally only the people who see the world for what it is, who also generally tend to be producers. This is just another brick in the "wall", albeit a small and subtle one, for people who want out of the lunacy.

Crap, forgot to post something else. I was looking at opening a basic passbook or savings account in a country with a stable banking system. Lo and behold, they are either not accepting American customers at all, or they are not accepting American customers unless they live in the country of origin of the bank. It's "know your customer" to the nth degree.
So don't bother with most countries in Asia, unless of course you want to fly to NY or LA to physically open an account with the Bank of China. If anyone has any other recommendations, I'm all ears. It looks like I could open an account with iOCBC, but that's a Singaporean brokerage account and all I want is a simple depository account.
IRS Schedule B and FBAR is not an issue in the least because I've had to do Schedule B for a few years now (Question 7A), and next year I'll probably have to do an FBAR. I just want a bank account in a stable banking system. Ideally Singapore, because they are serious about a central clearinghouse for derivatives, and they actually prosecute fraudsters.

If you live in a metropolitan area, get out now while you still can. If you have relatives in the country, even if you haven't spoken to them in decades, make contact with them now and see if they will help you relocate. Do it now, so that you have the time to relocate, set up, and start crazy stockpiling everything. I too looked into an expat relocate, and when I got around to actually looking into it, I saw all that has changed and I was not really surprised. All of the things that has changed since the Patriot Act, and all of the fallout regulations that followed, made me realize that the ones that escaped years ago, are the only ones that escaped in time. The rest of us are stuck here. So, be stuck in the absolute best place possible, and start getting involved in taking our America back.

Naw, it's not too late to get out if you take a deep breath and use your noggin to set out the logistics. Remove emotions, go with pure chesslike logic. This is just one of many amazing OCONUS locations, and I'll bet money some multi-million dollar companies are started in this anarcho-capitalist enclave. If you're interested in some more, I'll PM you. Anyone with the desire to improve their standard of living can do so if the surrounding govt. is not big enough to confiscate everything and terrorize the citizenry at will. www.laestanciadecafayate.com/Start by getting a passport. One small step at a time. Make sure you have easy access to countries like Canada or Mexico to leap from if need be. They haven't as of yet thrown up the "wall" so it's pretty easy.

She was born in Good Air, as was her father, but her mother was born in a small town by the mountains. I'll have to ask her tomorrow. Her father worked for Argentine airlines, and moved their family to Long Island when she was 9 months old. People who don't know her very well are still set aback when she breaks out in Spanish. "You speak Spanish?" We always cringe on the the next question that always seems to follow the first. "Are you Mexican?" ;D

Talk about a culture that understands currency crises, LOL. They take briefcases of cash to settle RE deals. And of course bury the good stuff.
