So last Wednesday evening I get a call from GW's school that she missed 4th period. It's an automated system. GW was standing right there when I got the call so I asked her where she was. She says she had a spare. But she is a really bad liar. I said okay, I'll call in the morning and get their records corrected. She says that's okay, she will do it and get the school to call me. I hear nothing on Thursday so Thursday night I tell her that if I don't hear from the school Friday first thing I'll give them a call. I'm trying to give her a chance to come clean but she isn't taking it. Friday I get a call from a young girl claiming to be from GW's school. She is calling on a cell phone that keeps cutting out and it sounds like she is in the cafeteria at lunch time. Both times the call gets cut off. I told my friend about this and he killed himself laughing. "You're saying that the high school's one cell phone isn't working?" To make a long story short, GW is cleaning my bathroom for 2 months. 2 weeks for skipping class, 6 weeks for thinking I was stupid enough to fall for the phone calls.

Sounds like she has to learn the hard way. Those phone calls must have been hilarious.

That is too funny. She had to try and test those boundaries .

Sounds like she has to learn the hard way. Those phone calls must have been hilarious. They were priceless. I was actually in shock for a minute thinking "she wouldn't really think I would fall for this!"

No, we don't walk away. But when we're holding on to something precious, we run.

Yeah, she should have known you wouldn't fall for that. If she was 12 or 13, I can see trying it. But not at 17!

It's a better lesson to learn not to lie.
