You don't have to now Virgil Showlion, SL somehow attached it. BUT I want to let you know that while I'm on Google I cannot attach an Icon to an existing thread. But I can go on IE 9 and attach an Icon to an existing thread.

Jaguar: It's an issue with how the browsers handle something called AJAX differently.

You should be able to edit icons using your Chrome browser now.

THANK YOU SO MUCH Virgil Showlion I was able to attach a birthday icon to an old Birthday thread while on Chrome.

I should mention that after talking with one of the other coders on the support board, I've just now put in a new tweak that should eliminate the problems associated with accessing pages using the control bar that floats down at the top of the page.

This should fix:

• links not showing up with colours
• 'hide avatar' menu option not appearing, and hidden avatars being displayed
• empty posts appearing in mod-only post slots
• problems with the custom forms on the Games sub-board

It may also help to resolve any number of the issues associated with various buttons and controls not working in certain contexts.

Proboards is (in theory) still working on a more permanent solution, but this should work until they've actually implemented it.

Just for grins, I've added some custom profile fields. You can find them by editing your profile, then scrolling down to the bottom of the Personal Tab. You can answer any, all, or none (of course), and your answers will show in your profile and mini profile. So far, the questions include:

Favorite Drink
Location

If anyone has any other suggestions for other questions that might be fun, let me know!

Just thought I'd mention that they have upgraded the functionality in the "Participated" box. For those who want to NOT see updates on certain threads, you can now mark them as read for a day, a week, a month, or forever. This is useful for topics you may have made one post in, but has a lot of activity so it always shows "new" for you.

in addition to the upgrade to the "participated" button I mentioned above, there are now some other upgrades you might find useful.

Option to Hide Avatars: In your Edit Profile > Settings tab you can now select if you would like to hide user avatars. This is something that Virgil wrote a code for, but it's now an actual feature.

Notification Updates:

New Notification Option: "When a thread I have participated in is updated." By default, new members of your forum will receive email notifications about topics that have been updated that they have participated in. This will help drive more engagement on your forums.   If you don't want to receive these, then you'll need to go turn it off in your profile!

Bookmark Notifications: You can now choose not to receive forum notifications for bookmarks. Unchecking this option will make the notification bubble not appear in the top menu.

I've also put in a new "Live Clock" that should always display the current time in each poster's time zone. takes up less space than the others that were there before.

    I like the giant live clock.   It keeps me on track if I have an appointment so that I don't stay on the board for "too" long.

I was going to mention I noticed the new clock yesterday.. It's nice to have the correct time on my page - I was always mentally adjusting the time by 2 hours before.
