well now Artemist good going! keeping track for me is a distraction - LOL Laughing cause I've actually said to myself effft - don't feel like keeping record! how screwed up is that! - LOL so when I do go second time - I don't write down how I did + I go longer than just a half hour / or sometimes shorter than half hour.

motivation level = MEDIUM
this morning and the past few morning actually - I have had to go an extra few more minutes to reach the high numbers which are the new normal numbers. (makes since - right?) LOL ok say when I first started my average numbers would be say 4 to 6. but as I got into a routine I would put up high numbers like 6 to 8. now my normal numbers for a half hour on the exercise bike is 6 to 8.
but these past few mornings after a half hour I'm doing numbers 4 to 6, and have to put in an extra 5 minutes to meet the 6 to 8 numbers.
That is why I'm at Medium

Z - I think the beta board was just temporary and I never even knew I was in. I thought your musceled up avatar Was you. I am glad you are increasing your times. Good job! I tried to think what Jillian on Biggest Loser would say but all I can see is her slamming the front of the tread mill yelling stand up. -------------- I have a new fun/fast routine for you. 10 Minutes - Get in plank position. Do a push up then roll over to the tee position. (Tee position is side plank with arm extended straight up.) Back into a push up and over to the other side for a tee. Standing, opposite knee to opposite elbow crunch. Standing, cross country ski motion. Squat then punch upward into overhead press bringing one knee up. Squat again, ohp and bring the other knee up. --------- I need to keep track as I get part way through the exercises and forget what my weights were the last time. I also rotate through different reps.

ouch! Heartemist! - LOL that sounds like something they do in the Insanity Video DVD's advanced parts - LOL I'm too lazy for Insanity - LOL but I do like watching! I keep track of so many things and have files for exercising records, yea I think it's still good to do. I do look back at how far I've gone and try to stay above what I started out with. guess I should stop posting in this thread as I see I've taken it over. we'll catch up on the bet thread. see ya Heartemist - your support is appreciated

I need to start my exercise routine again! I kinda lost the rhythm of it. You ruin one day and then you kinda give up on the entire thing. Erk!

I'm coming to the end of the second week of half-marathon training. Not bad, though it does seem strange to rearrange things and actually add some rest into the routine.

I got my rear kicked in tennis drills this afternoon. Major sweat but great fun with friends.
Then I wrecked my efforts at a hamburger joint. OMG - full sugar HiC fruit punch.
Back to the Nautilus tomorrow and try to get my weights back up since I cut back. I need to get outside to play before the blizzard.

A very good lifting session and reduced eating to compensate for the slip up .

I have been extremely stressed at work the past 2 weeks so I have done nothing but work and sleep. I was going to start a workout today but then I caught a cold so haven't been off the couch much. I need to get motivated!

Exactly one week ago was my last weight lifting session. Today I got to the gym early and had the cable tower all to myself. No one cluttering up the area. No one looking at me like are you done yet? I could do walking lunge/curls with no interference. Zero thoughts of who is waiting for me to do thus and so at home. Oh happy day. I was completely spent when I got home.

Spent 20 minutes working with free weights and 20 minutes on the treadmill at the gym today.

Wanted to join my bike shop gang on a long bike ride. Doctor said it was too soon after surgery. Boo. I did ride a short ride, though. Still miss my swimming (five days to go until I can go back). But I can also run, so it helps. I've been running in the a.m. and bike riding in the p.m. to keep my fitness level.

I think I just died. Im bringing this back! lol
Today I walked a mile. I did 80 crunches, I did 20 push ups, and I did 80 Burpees...I thought I was dying with the Burpees.
I need to get back to the gym and start lifting weights again and jogging. I used to be able to do 150 Burpees with breeze...Swore I was going to pass out after fifty today.

that is something I just don't get? (1) I think I would have much better results if I join a gym (2) gym membership I should be able to meet others with similar interest
but it doesn't matter if I join at work or the gym around the corner from home (seriously! the gym is actually 3 blocks away from home) I have gym equipment at home that I am not consistent with using
I have spent a lifetime thinking if I can (1) take the time to travel to gym with change of clothes or dressed for gym (2) establish a routine (3) travel home or change into work clothes
then all that time (and money) spent for gym can be used energy at home workout?

Had a swim meet yesterday - chilly out, but we plowed through it quick. Very tiring, doing it all in 90 minutes or so, with no rest.
Got up and ran three miles this morning.
It's a taper-down week, as I have another meet Saturday and a triathlon Sunday.

I spoke with a trainer recently at a gym I was so close going to join. (1) there is NO WAY I can currently afford a trainer at this time (2) he said getting in shape is 80% diet and 20% exercise! so I didn't join

Terrible weather this morning, so no outside workouts. Going to a job interview shortly; will put in a bike ride after lunch. In the pool tomorrow a.m., then a run tomorrow night. After that, it's all taper down to the weekend events.
