Yo-yo dieting is eating real healthy and reducing only to regain what was lost only to start over again. It's the word lost. What is lost is usually found.
Wimpette here did dumbbell workout rather then Nautilus. The 3rd set on Friday threw me into insomina that night. Tomorrow is functional fitness DVD.

I was only ONE pound, just ONE pound away from making goal and BANG 3 months flushed down the toilet in ...what ...two weeks and back up to my heavy weight. now back on the elevator going down again in weight - or my yo-yo is on the going down part.

I did 25 minutes of stretching for my back. It helps immensely. You stretch your legs, abs, and back. You will feel a lot younger if you do them faithfully.

You like a curvier woman? I guess I have some anorexic fever on myself. I've began my diet and exercise today. Hoping it's not a yo-yo one at all. yea - ;D by yo-yo do you mean stop exercising for a while then start again? lol I believe men do like curvy women. Yeh, by yo-yo I mean it's a start and stop process but more of it is about will power and self control. A battle of temptations.

Men do like curvy women. Just don't do like my grandmother did. She let the curves turn into a super highway.

motivation level = MEDIUM for the past 2 days! I looked at the exercise bike - and walk away - look at it again - and walk away - get upset and say - Just do it! get this over with! - then get happy in the process and put up high numbers for the half hour!

I had a k/a workout today on Nautilus plus an extra 200 calories on Precor. I actually think I can get my toning back. When the motivation lags, I'm pulling out all the alternative ideas. Those stick figures in the fitness center walk on the treadmill or do cardio for 45 minutes then plank. Restarting morning Yoga has helped and I used breath meditation to get back to sleep this morning. I'm jumping into the New Year with vim and vigor.

I was released back to normal workouts today. Well, almost.
No swimming until Thursday, but I can run tomorrow and Wednesday, so I will do that. I'm going to sign up for a 5K or two in January, plus a swim meet. Gosh, it feels good to be back. I was sick of walking, even though it was only for five days. Bored, bored, bored.

Welcome back, Nancy, and best wishes for the New Fitness Year.
I did pyramid on Nautilus, today. I am working my way back up to the weights I was using when I listened to the wrong advice. I have a better plan on the rotation of 3.10, 2.15, 1, circuit, pyramid 12, 10, 8. I am not OCD keeping track either.
I am surprised at how I went from being almost ill from overwork to no late onset in a short time. The restart of yoga as a balancing factor is really paying off.

NewYear HD - on those walk away days, just do some planks, pushups and abs. Takes 5 minutes tops and you still have the routine.

I mean my brain is just looking for excuses at this point and I start thinking - dang 1/2 hour is too long to exercise for right now do something else on my chore list like: clear up the DVR, wash dishes, clean the bathroom, work on my budget, pretty much anything else. I'll give it a try - Thanks and Happy New Year Artemis ;D

motivation level = MEDIUM I jumped up out of bed this morning - not much energy, no stalling to exercise and put up decent numbers Plus I've decided to ask GF everyday if she is going into work early to avoid me getting annoyed. and so far it's working. cause I asked her tonight and she said yes for tomorrow morning. now I will start exercise half hour later.

Ah, the pool was nice and toasty this morning, 2,000 meters's worth. Really enjoyed every bit of it.

Takes 5 minutes tops and you still have the routine. yea so far so good! couple times per night I use my curl bar. my arms are tight as hell - GF is on my arms like our boy on his toy mouse - LOL and now at work I'm close to getting back to doing a set of 10 push ups. of course the more times I do push ups I can increase the rep set. Thanks Artemis ;D

trying to stay focused with the thought of yes MUST keep exercising! don't stop! have to keep moving at a higher rate throughout the day.
so first part is done - I did normal exercise with good numbers on the bike this morning. planning to do some more of the light stuff throughout the day and weekend

Here are some more quick tips.
Walk in place while doing something like stirring dinner.
Jumping jacks can be done about anywhere.
The entire idea is to get moving and do something everyday. ------------ I did one circuit through nautilus slowly today. Skipped the cardio. As usual with the excuse of I'll do cardio tomorrow.
Then, I have to have a certain amount of energy for archery practice of 60 arrows. That threw my workouts off last week.

;D I had a great workout today, too. The Nautilus work is toning me. I do need to start keeping track of weights/machines. My lower abs are a bugger. I am doing cardio although not for extended periods of time. There is no need to be ridiculous. If many years ago I started doing pushups or situps and added one per day, every day, I would not be able to do anything else. Ridiculous.
