I had nasty accounter at WAL-MART yesterday. Customer came for the baby formula and I was out of it and she was walk-in person so I said 'wait' and ran to the WAL-MART (I am really repulsed by this zoo but I had nothing closer to me who sells baby formula). So I ran into the store. I grabbed plastic bag and threw 6 bright yellow cans into the bag. I went to the register and one family was there in front of me but they had a problem locating some price. So I am standing there and Lakisha the cashier about 20-30 y/old giant woman tells me to take those formulas out of the bag. I refused because my plastic bag was pulled down to the table(transporter) and she could clearly SEE with her giant eyes 6 bright yellow cans and IF she wanted to put them in another bag by her side - she would have to do the same exactly procedure of taking EACH CAN - scan it and put it into the bag by her side. Or she could scan one 6 times BUT she decided to MAKE me to take plastic bag from under those cans and I refused of course. So she tells ME (a customer) that she will not ringme up. I said WHAT??? And I had tried to roll my eyes as far as I could to match hers in size! She yelled 'Susan' a manager and little blonde girl came looked scared and uncomfortable and Latisha told her 'I am not ringin' her up' and she snapped her fat fingers and Susan wispered 'follow me' and rang me up on next cash register with formulas IN THE BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked loud and clear 'Does Latisha has a mental issia'  and Susan looked down and smiled and got scared of herself. I left all miffed about how is it possible to tell paying customer 'I am not ringing you up' Also I am wondering if one person (or a gang) can hold a whole WAL-MART under some sort of...I don't know what? so they all are affraid of this working gang ang just do what gang tells them to do? I had ONE order in front of e and she says 'I am not ringing her up' and it is OK??? So guess if I am going back to the WAL-MART period? |

So you buy formula at Walmart and then resell it at your store? What kind of markup do you put on it? Do you make money doing that?

Whew that was funny. Thanks loony, I needed that laugh.
You really ran out and got something a customer needed right then? Excellent customer service imo. Not that you'd be able to do it all the time, but still, great job.
And you might want to stay away from Latisha in the future. ;D

Why are you putting your merchandise in a plastic bag before getting rung up? While the cashier was rude, you weren't exactly following SOP yourself. She was probably following some stupid rule that she was taught.

1st -  at this whole story 2nd - why was taking the formulas out of the bag that big of a deal? 3rd - what mid said 4th - why do you have to keep mentioning the fact that she was overweight? 5th - I might have to side with Latisha on this one just out of principle |

I except WIC program. So markup is about $2.50 per can
And yes Susan got scared of herself laughing...because she really wanted to laugh but Latisha was right next to her...

Gee - if the cashier says take the stuff out of the bag - idk - maybe take the stuff out of the bag?  I can't figure out why being asked to take the formula out is that big of a deal |

Yes, many criminal kingpins capable of subjecting Wal-mart to follow their orders also like to work there as cashiers.
I heard Al Capone ran his criminal empire while making sandwiches at a deli.
The current leader of the Bloods in LA works the 5am-2pm shift at 7-11.

Having a smaller in size person to be afraid to laugh in your presentse makes Latisha a gangster...also having Susan ringing me up BECAUSE Latisha said so makes her a gangster or bully or both! And Susan is THE manager!!!!!!!!! And it is not a big deal to take cans out of the bag but WHY? Because huge loud person told me? Susan did rang me with cans IN the bag. So there is NO stupid nor smart rule about it. Latisha was just a pain in the neck. I am a prejudist againsa stupid...even more against stupid with attitude!!! |
