So a walk-in customer means they have no car.....so those that have cars you let them drive-in?

Maybe if you post your inventory control policy we can help you so that you don't run out of product next time.

At least we know that if tloonya suddenly disappears, it's because she was eaten by an angry Walmart cashier. Closure is a good thing.

So you buy formula at Walmart and then resell it at your store? What kind of markup do you put on it? Do you make money doing that? Is that even legal? I know you can't do that with alcohol and the like, but is it okay for normal goods?

My thought is that there are several different kinds of formula - and some are pricier so the cashier thought tl was trying to pull a fast one. I SAID IN MYPOST: ALL 6 cans were turned to her so she could see those all same bright yeallow cans!!! Do not side with a gangster! Or you will be the next shopper/victim!!!!!!!

I'm still trying to get over somebody feeling the need to start a thread about getting bad customer service at Walmart. I thought that was like part of the charm of shopping there? I mean, other than getting rock bottom prices on cheap Chinese made shit, the only other reason to go to Walmart is to people watch at the dregs of society.

How long did it take you to run all the way to Wal-Mart? Were you tired after? Do you run for fun also or only for business purposes? Nobody "Runs for FUN"... You may run for exercise and for stress relief, but if anyone thinks running is fun, they've got bigger issues.

Susan did rang me with cans IN the bag. So there is NO stupid nor smart rule about it. Susan was the manager so can break a lot of the rules. You hire a cashier & you tell them that you never do X. Cashier takes that rule as gospel & when you walked up with her bags, she was following the rule in asking you to take the items out of the bags. You refused, so she had to get the manager involved & the manager understands that rule X isn't really gospel, it is just taught as such to keep things simple for new employees & lower theft, so she rings you up. Odds are they are taught everything has to be taken out of the bags to be rung up because store loss often starts with employees. How easy would it be to steal if you walk up with a bag of stuff & the cashier is in on the theft & only rings up some of the items. They can't catch it on camera because the cameras can't see what is in the bags. Frankly you were just as difficult as the cashier. She was following store protocol & got the manager involved when she came across a difficult customer that wasn't following the policies she was taught. Seriously - why are you pre-bagging your merchandise. What purpose did that serve other than to cause grief for the cashier?

Maybe Latisha just didn't want to help you because you were sweaty and smelly after running all the way to Wal-Mart. HOOPS! You can stop now. It was not funny first 3 times. Does anyone have to TELL you that you are not funny for you to get it? So YOU ARE NOT FUNNY!

I do not shop at this zoo. I am feeling too...small. And insignificant at that store. Unlike at Bloomingdale's or Target even...now I know why!

You think telling me I'm not funny makes me stop? So naive.

What gangster are you referring to? I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess she's not referring to "little blonde Susan"? Apparently being named Latisha (or Lakisha?) makes one a gangster. I guess I am a gangster, one of those is my name. LMAO!!!

So many places to go with this thread. Wal-Mart isn't one of them. I'm trying not to LOL at this whole thing. I'm picturing Latisha the big-butt-gangsta cashier knocking Loony senseless with baby formula cans, and the cops showing up and trying to figure out why Loony is buying the stuff for someone else is the first place, since she likely looks a tad too old to have a rugrat at home. I'm assuming Loony bagged it and brought it to the register, rather than got a shopping basket or cart on the way in, to make things faster. But the cashiers have to do as they are told. They have to scan the items (either with a handheld scanner or pull it across the built-in infrared scanner) without any other material interference, or the price may not come up correctly.

Also often new cashiers aren't taught to enter multiple quantities. Ever had to wait while a cashier pulls out & individually scans every single ramen from a case of 24? Seriously, even if you can't do multiple quantities, at least scan the same damn ramen 24 times, but it is against policy because they may be different types & then you screw up the inventory.
I love how companies create policies that are extremely stupid & they don't actually want you to follow them, but if you make a major screw up because you didn't follow that policy, it is your ass on the line.

I can answer tthat because it was actually almost only one intelligent post in this thread after mine...ok and Archie's though his was out of the concept. All he cares about is my profit like if when he is old he hopes to benefit from my retirement fund! Pffff! Wait...where was i? Oh! Why am I pre-bagging? I ran my CAR to a store. I ran into the store (carring about my customer waiting not wanting her to wait to long WITH a small child)... So I run to the shelf with formulas which is right accross from the registers line. All the zoo was running with those ennourmous shopping carts. I needed to save me time so I am grabbing a bag and wiggling my butt between those people...I did not need a huge shopping behemot for only 6 cans of freaking formula.

Gee - if the cashier says take the stuff out of the bag - idk - maybe take the stuff out of the bag? I can't figure out why being asked to take the formula out is that big of a deal I can't get past that part either. She's lucky security didn't grab her for attempted shoplifting when she stuffed the six cans in her bag - recyclable or not.

Can we get back to the important topic, like Loony's inventory control policy?

"I ran my CAR to a store. "
Holy crap, did you carry it or just push it? If you carried it, did you have to use 2 plastic bags or was 1 strong enough to hold it? Re-usable cloth with reinforced straps?

That's fine, but then when you get to the checkout line you put them on the conveyor belt like a normal consumer.

Wow, your formula is right across from the register lines? I don't think I have ever seen a walmart with that layout. Mine is towards the back with all the other baby crap.

You stuff merchandise in store bags & usually it is because you are going to steal it. The cashier wanted you to take it out of the bags so she couldn't be held accountable for any appearance or actual theft on your part. ETA - it seems someone that owns her own store would be more open to store policies that are in place to prevent theft.
