I can finally get back to my workout routine this week after two super busy weeks at work! I barely worked out the past week and a half, but I'm still down on the scale! I jogged/walked 3.8 miles on Saturday, so I am definitely ready for my 5k in DC next weekend. It's supposed to be a walk, but I am going to try to run as much of it as I can. I have until July to fully embrace running a 5k. ;D Total weight lost (since January): 17 pounds! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Two more 5Ks in the "season" for me....one this Saturday and one on Memorial Day Monday. Back to a fifth day of swimming starting May 19th - right now, I only swim Tuesday-Friday.
I am thinking about running in the evenings, when the weather turns unbearable. I will change my morning schedule to swimming Tuesday-Saturday, with a short run prior to my swim on Saturdays. biking on Sundays and either biking or running on Monday mornings, depending on how I feel or what appointments I have on Mondays (I usually make all my doctor appointments early on Mondays).

oh, in the last 3 & half weeks or so I dropped 2 lbs.
but I decided to be more in a maintenance mode now so I may fluctuate plus or minus a pound but that's it, I'm not going to stress about it (if I keep slowly losing a 1 lb or so every 3 weeks, fine, if not that's fine too).
I'm about 4-5 lbs off my weight / body from last summer (heavier now), but I think I been exercising & stressing too much, so I stopped being so strict ---I'll way myself every few days, if I notice an upward trend I will put the kibosh on it
I still gym 5 times a week, an hour a time & my weight lifting has been steadily improving though
I may try harder to get rid of the last few lbs in a few weeks, if not I will still be comfortable taking my shirt off in summer even if I maintain what I currently have

Boot Camp class is over There's no a/c in the basketball gym we use, so he doesn't have a summer session. He'll start a new class in Sept, and I will be there! so now it's spin class Mon, Tue, Wed. Bike, walk, or run Thu and Fri, with a couple of weight training sessions during the week. Mornings I alternate between Pilates and The Wave. Saturday I run with my running partner, then do some weights. Sunday I just do whatever I feel like doing. I don't do two-a-days every single day. If I can get a little more sleep, I sleep. If I just don't feel like exercising, I skip a workout. That's WHY I usually do two-a-days...so I feel no guilt when I skip a workout session. my next 5k is May 19. Last year I knocked over 2 minutes off of my time. Hopefully this year I can do the same.

Saturday's 5K i ran slow to try to pace my friend who wanted to beat her best time (which she did, but not by as much as she wanted), i took off at the end 1/3 of the race and finished 1.3 min slower than my first race, but we got beer afterwards...Sunday's Wounded Warrior race i ran the 5K in 26 minutes...i beat B by over 3 minutes I was hoping to get 27 or 26:30, i had no idea i'd manage to get 26!!! We are doing the Armed Forces 5K on base thursday.

I was very hungover yesterday, so I half-assed everything. Thank god it wasn't timed!

I did my YogaWorks Bodyslim workout yesterday but I ate like crap all weekend. Today I did Leslie Sansone 30 minute two mile workout and am tracking my food again. Sigh.

lol! i would have been hung over yesterday but we didn't use our tickets for the after party for Saturday's run, it was all you can drink beer.....they had a live band playing during the race, beer after and then from 4-? it was all you can drink....i figured that was a bad bad idea.
we tried to give the tickets to our friends, it was held at some theater...and our idiot friend says "i'm not into theater" duh, silly, you could've gotten you and your date (FI's ex that he dumped for me) free beer all night, close to home, and it was not theater...it was just held there for the capacity. I will never accuse some of B's friends as being smart.

Yeah I just don't know about some of B's friends.
Pushed last Wednesday's run. Ran again yesterday forgetting I'd had no ibuprofen or ice since Friday. I was feeling good running last week so hopefully I get back there. I'll go back on Wednesday. In the meantime I picked up a magazine with a bunch of weight workouts.
Being home is disasterous for eating well. I am down 4 pounds since I started this in March.

Great job everyone!! I ran my first 5k on Saturday (did a 10k in April). My goal was to be under 29 minutes, and I ended up coming in at 27:26! It would have been faster if they didn't put it super steep hills! Can't wait for my next one!

I am doing the minimum or about 15 to 20 minutes in the gym. Cardio is none as I'm supposed to be on the hilly golf course.
My sense of smell is goofed up. All I can smell is sweat most of the time. I use Fabreze and other stuff to spray caps, visors, shoes, apparel but that doesn't last long. DH says it's phantom smells. Nonexistant.

except for eating some cheese doodles and pretzels for lunch today (moderate portion & it is replacing my nromal lunch, so not eating nothing else), I am maintaining the status quo, so I am happy

okay, well I'm officially off ice cream until further notice, so that will help. I did my 40-minute hula dance workout this morning and ate decently so far. Dinner will be chicken stroganoff with brown rice and carrots, so I'll try to be careful with my portions.

I went to a running store on my lunch and got some help in picking out new running shoes. $90 later there is no turning back, I WILL become a runner. I can't wait to test them out tonight!
I haven't been working out as much as I'd like, but I haven't gained back a single ounce so I am feeling okay!

That is what I did back in January! It was great. 1 - I didn't spend $85 to let those shoes sit in my kitchen, so it really helped keep me motivated! 2 - I used to have some knee pain after running, but not now that I have the appropriate footwear! Get out there and do it!

Most of my pain has gone away with the new shoes. The running store was close to my house and the shoes were the same price they were on zappos.
Buying the gym membership helped motivate me too. I didn't want to waste $20/month. I've been pretty good at going. I actually hate not going. I've forced myself to take a few days off to recover. The last couple days I took off with the sinus infection helped me get over most of the foot/knee pain.

been stressing a bit last few days, but found a way to distract myself today.....also managed to make it to the gym for 45 minutes (not a full hour, but 25 minutes weights /20 cardio) not bad considering I skipped the gym 2 days in row (which is rare)...
.....I been eating some junk but in small portions and haven't been eating as often (skipped a meal here or there (I normally eat 5-8 meals a day so skipping 2 meals or so isnot so bad))...so in the end it balances out? clothes are still fitting the same and weigh in tomorrow........
.....and I will get back in the routine tomorrow (no more pretzels, cheese doodles or cookies for while (at least didn't actually eat that pizza I ordered), clean eating for at least 5 days straight)....

well today I was peer pressured to go out to eat.....I think I did ok despite eating out---8 oz. srloin steak, steamed vegetables and a small piece of bread.....also didn't eat again 'till 5 hrs later...so total calories for the day not that bad and I figure the steak is protein heavy (although I am sure it was sodium laced ) otherwise workouts and eating is back on track and weigh in has my weight as being stable

Saturday I ate like crap - sorta. I had a big French toast and bacon breakfast, skipped lunch, and had spaghetti with turkey meatballs and added chopped tomatoes. Yesterday was about the same - a little better. I guess I'm doing alright because went shopping yesterday morning and figured out that I am down a size!

I managed to get a 2 mile jog in on Saturday. I woke up late and had errands to run before meeting up with my mom, so i really only had a half hour to do anything physical. Yesterday, we went to a Union game and we stood the entire time cheering. I still managed to be down a pound, so i guess clapping and hollering for two hours counts as a workout!

well I did try to go to the pool today, feeling comfortabe enough for that....but than it was super-chlorinated (whatever that means) so I went to the co-ed sauna instead. all the other dudes had t-shirts on? I guess that's what dudes where in the co-ed sauna? Also there was a dude doing jumping jacks in there for like 3 minutes or something there were 2 chicks, but they were wearing t-shirts too (bummer ) I had worked out earlier, and ate good today, so hope to hang in there through tonight (have a nice salmon to cook tonight)

Back in the workout routine now. Did 2.56 miles Saturday and again today.
I think I need some gorgonzola on my lunch salad or something with it. I was absolutely starving four hours later. Same thing yesterday.

One more 5K to go for the "season" and then done until October (it's too hot here to run races in the summer months). Final race is Memorial Day. It's a great run that sells out every year, and they service cold pizza and yoghurt parfaits at the end.
I planned to add an extra day of swimming starting this weekend, but there's a HS meet at the pool, so it's closed. Starting next weekend, I will add the additional Saturday swim time. Still plan to run during the summer, just somewhat less. Bike rides will remain.
Going to the doctor next week to pick up bloodwork paperwork for labs in June. Wondering what all that will look like makes me a little nervous.
