Fearing High Gas Prices, Sean Hannity Proposes Re-Invading Iraq and Kuwait To ‘Take All Their Oil’ Tonight’s Hannity on Fox News featured a discussion by the Great American Panel about high gas prices, which host Sean Hannity claimed are “now gonna go up to three, four, five dollars a gallon again.” The panel ruefully noted that Arab sheiks possess great amounts of oil, and pointed out a recent statement by Kuwait’s oil minister that he believes the market can withstand $100-per-barrel oil. After noting that Kuwait is a country that “would not exist [but] for us,” Hannity angrily offered his remedy: HANNITY: There’s two things I said. I say why isn’t Iraq paying us back with oil, and paying every American family and their soldiers that lost loved ones or have injured soldiers — and why didn’t they pay for their own liberation? For the Kuwait oil minister — how short his memory is. You know, we have every right to go in there and frankly take all their oil and make them pay for the liberation, as these sheiks, etcetera etcetera, you know were living in hotels in London and New York, as Trump pointed out, and now they’re gouging us and saying ‘oh of course we can withstand [these prices].’” In the most recent invasion of Iraq, there have been 4,442 American combat deaths and over 30,000 injuries, many of them traumatic and debilitating. The cost of the war is at $3 trillion and counting, and the invasion demolished America’s global standing. Apparently, Hannity would be willing to re-pay this cost for cheaper gasoline. Hannity also acts as if Iraq should be grateful for the invasion and turn over its natural resources. Of course, anywhere from 100,000 to one million Iraqi civilians died during the unwanted invasion, which destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure and cultural heritage. On the other hand, Hannity has previously noted that he “travel(s) on private planes, [and] I have an SUV that I’m proud of.” Surely, the hundred-millionaire would be hurt by $3-per-gallon gas. LOL! I'm far more concerned with the apparent insanity of our so-called political leaders, like Barack Obama and Harry Reid, who actually have the power to effect change in our lives. But if you prefer to dwell on talk-show entertainers, I suppose that's your prerogative. Perhaps we can discuss Angelina Jolie's latest movie while we're at it?

I"m not qualified to judge someones sanity, but I think it is stretch to take that remark as an earnest proposal for invasion

as these sheiks, etcetera etcetera, you know were living in hotels in London and New York, as Trump pointed out
And given they are Muslims they certainly were not drinking, snorting cocaine and banging hookers in their hotel rooms, were they?

Video: thinkprogress.org/2011/01/14/hannity-invade-iraq/ As far as the Iraquis reimbursing us..I am thinking the Iraquis are just waiting for the last one of the Americans to go home and that includes the down trodden under their late leader, majority sext, ton have the biggest blox party ever seen in the near east in celebration and wouldn't be surprised to hear a lot of mumbles of . "good riddence", "Allah be praised ' and don't let the door hit you..... we invaded, we killed thousands and thousands , bodies of their soldiers are in the desert never to go back to their familoes, same with the civilians, and the kids who died in the boucott of food and medicines, no matter who was at fault to get them and why the $ were not spent ont hem, their kids are dead. Don't forget the humiliatiion of the defeat on their psych too. I believe a lot of the lst war to get the Iraquis out of Kuwait, were paid by the Saudis and Kuwaut, the dinancial costs.

Liberals hate Sean Hannity and Progressives want him silenced so what else is new? Lakhota has been lambasting Sean Hannity and Fox News since he first joined the MSN Community so get used to this stuff which is a waste of board space here as you will soon learn...

The question should be. Is Lakhota hypocritical? I thought he favored demonstrating more civility in our talk and conversation. The title of this thread doesn't seem to promote that.

There is a cancer beginning to grow on the Poltics and the Markets MSN Money Board refugees message board that could very well ruin it by turning off many of the members with so much left wing hate speech here...that they will just leave...

I have not suggested silencing anyone. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of complaining about FOX and Limbaugh and then posting stuff that will help keep the pot stirred.

Why do people always want to silence people they don't agree with? The people who seem to be in favor of silencing others seem to be those who cannot really articulate their own positions or don't have confidence in what they believe. Let people speak their minds. If you don't like it or find it "offensive" then don't read it. Kind of like protesting but continuing to run back to the feeding trough for a second bite.

I'm with having free speech and heated debate whether it be Rush or Lakhota. Not sure if that is the same as pot stirring. Pot stirring was usually referred to one intentionally trying to cause controversy and it usually didn't necessarily have to include the truth. By the way what is the definition of "snicklefritz"? It's a word that we commonly called each other as children. i assumed it was German but never really knew what it meant.

I have not suggested silencing anyone. I think this is the next kick for the liberal left. The "silencing" question about has been asked just about every time a rightie disagrees with a leftie this past week or so.

So much for Lakhota wanting to have " a more civil and honest public discourse" here...
Our nation and our congress seemed to have paid their respects to Gabby Gifford and the other victims of the Tucson shootings while here we still have those who have taken this tragedy and used it as a venue for spewing their vile and hatred all over this message board for the past few days....sad commentary as to what is wrong todaywith the liberal media. i.e., thinkprogress.org, and the huffingtonpost.com..
But the question should be: What is gained by arousing so much division, acrimony and disinformation here?? Maybe those on the left can explain that instead of demeaning and degrading anyone who questions there motives....and what happened to honest public discussions here??

They should remember that we have had presidents shot while the "fairness doctrine" was in place. In all honesty we have had very little political violence relative to the the era when JFK, MLK and RFK were murdered. Or even later when Reagan was hit and Ford was shot at twice I believe. These happened before talk radio and cable TV were so big. MLK was very outspoken about what he didn't believe was right or fair in this country at the time. Do they blame him for the violence that happened then?

What do you do with cancer??
1. Ignore it and hope it goes away
2. Treat it before it spreads
3. Or enjoy it because you like to suffer

In your case the best thing to do is just to ignore, ignore, and ignore and can you handle that??

So it looks like we all agree.... We all want Lakhota on.... Keep his posts at the top of the message board.... It helps people understand the thought process and the hypocrisy of the liberal left.

While it is true the Republicans hold the majority in the House and are setting the agenda, the liberal and progressive media are going to do their best to torpedo each and every thing the Republicans try to do...watch now for thinkprogress.org and the huffingtonpost.com try to disrupt the GOP Health Care Bill Changes as just one example this week since they have beat Sarah Palin into the ground for the past week
